JS Clone -- this is true...but when more than 85% of your software does not function properly with the OS, there is definitly a problem hehe
Anuj -- Yeah, winME worked great with SONAR 2.0...but anything else, yuck! hehe

Yes, regardless though, Windows is horrible. All Windows OS up to XP corrupted themselves internally with use. It was unavoidable.
Basically Windows was a really complex shell for DOS.
Then they came out with the first REAL Windows OS, WinXP and it's compatible with very few things and all the while they solved many of the old Windows problems, they made twice as many new ones.
Way to go Microsoft!
Matt - Cal - DOS?

About windows millennium. I use it on my PC, or I should say it came with it installed. It works fine except that it's not fond of games, especially Diablo II. Even if I shut down all the un-neccessary programs that are running, it still freezes up. I gave up trying to play it a long time ago. Anybody have any ideas of what I might be overlooking?
Death Cube, have fun with the new UV777.....(used, but new to you) You could have picked up a nice brand new JS-1000 for that kind of bread. Oh well, to each his own :)
Joe, watch the sushi, it will rot your guts if it's not fresh. You don't need a case of the "trots" while you are trying to play....lol

ACTUALLY...clone1, NT was quite stable, i never use NT until I got windows 2000, then i was in love...stable as a rock..
if you didn't know, xp is win2k with a few more things added in, such as a HUGE plug and play list, and a few more visual effects, but other than that win2k and xp are identical under the skin..so all in all, winnt was the first real operating system out...with a GUI..DOS 5 was quite stable too.

hey all,
I just realised that the LA date for the tour is at House of Blues and that it's 21 and over to attend. What's up with that?? I thought Joe didn't like the age restrictions on his shows??

Mr Nick: Insurance companies really got you by the gonads when it comes to a car!! I'm sure they make triple what it costs for them to pay in damages!! I've always wondered why you don't get some of your cost back at the end of the year if you don't have an accident!!!! It's only fair!!
bigmarc:Yes, JOE did give lessons to Kirk....To bad he plays Esp :-0
I just found out Paul Gilbert played a seven string on "Let the Computer Decide" (I bought his guitar tech book)!! There are also three guitar parts....He tuned them to EBGDEE....Isn't guitar wonderful!!!
Peace all, /\/\ike

Nick: it's good old Trent Reznor. Such a wonderful song. Any Nine Inch Nails fans got the UK DVD? Did you find the easter eggs? I can't get any of em to work :-(
Car Conversation: I got rid of a Ford Mondeo earlier this year, 1.8 turbo diesel. The insurance was £800 a year, even with no claims! It's a rip I tell ya! Now I drive a battered old Citroen BX16 estate. It cost me £170!!!
Invigor (I think) - yeah WinNT was the first "real" Windows OS. All 32 bit. And if you want some blue, just nick a guitar... worked last time lol j/k!!! Cynical? Me? Nah!!!
Later, hope you're all enjoying your weekend. Dave

I don't know if I said this before, but JOE and company look soo loose when he starts SWTA on the DVD....Chatting with the crowd and just playing with soo much emotion....I always just sit, mesmerized watching the DVD....It is such a humbling experience and also a mindblowing experience!! I can see why people say on their reviews of JOE's shows that the crowd was quiet......I know why.....Watching JOE play just puts you in another place....That Blue Dream....A place where emotions run wild and FREE....A place where only JOE holds the KEY.... :-)
Peace all, /\/\ike

Ive been to one of your concerts before, Bryan May was a guest, but that was 4 years ago! Im looking forward to another concert in England.

Matt King: My experiences with Win ME have been far less than pleasing. My father got a new PC about a year ago which came with ME, and the damn thing will remain stable for about a maximum of two days before it starts getting slow and having random errors, and finally freezing and necessitating a reset. So both he and I are quite displeased with ME. Personally, I'm a recent convert to Mac OS X, since my brother recently donated to me an old Power Mac G4 of his and installed OS X on it. And I am lovin' it! The cost of getting into a Mac, however, is somewhat higher than a PC, but I think it's worth it. I think I've had my G4 up for about three weeks now with no hiccups.

the dreamy quality of some of your lead work is simply awesome. there is a lot more to lead work than just speed, a lesson i learnt the hard way. The way you make your guitar sing goes beyond endless hours of practice and after buying your dvd i thought it was about time i learnt to play properly. I, over the years have impressed with my speed, but could i make the damn thing sing, could i ****. after hearing your joe satriani album 'the bluesy one' and failing in my attempts to play any of them, i gave up playing the guitar.
well, four years later i decided to give it a go again and i can now play a handful of your songs (slow ones mainly) not becauset they are easier. i just wanted to create some mood into my playing.
i have some questions for sir.
whyare your tab books incorrect. i was watching you play and on numerous occasions, you play differently to what is transcribed in your books
2 when compossing a song what inspires you. When i work(i am an artist) simple things like the wind, the sun, the changing of the seasons, a storm even, inspires me to paint even if its a potrait. what inspired the solo flying in a blue dream.
when are you going to compose an album that you can chill out to. i mean an album you can lay down to and just drift away the sound of running water for instance is very soothing, the wispering of leaves on warm summer's evening. could it be possible for a rock soloist to achieve such a task. not classical, but rock
if you are like me, and no mater how good people say your work is, you still have a passion to better it.
i challange you mr satraini, create an album like vivildi's four seasons, the ultimate dreamy rock album, no singing though, that is where vai went wrong for me.
thanks for listening and thanks for the pleasure you have feasted my ears to
john derbyshire
