Just now rolling in from a killer gig tonight (err, hmm last night).

What a blast. Still trying to come down, so I thought I would pop in.

Joe - I can image what it must be like for you when you're touring pretty heavy. I'm sure after a while things seem to settle into a routine, but I was wondering... Do you find yourself needing to wind down after each performance or does it depend on how well you "felt" the show went? Is there an after-show ritual you follow to come down? Just curious.

I'm really looking forward to catching one of the "Evening with..." dates up in LA. (Any chance you would like to help a young up and coming instrumentalist? Need an opening act?? ;-) Ah, one can dream, right?

Anyway, have a safe trip back from Hong Kong.

Ah, this board wouldn't half as interesting without these occasional flares of different opinions..... LOL Jokes about sex are difficult, there's always someone taking it the wrong way. I would be very interested in hearing Joe's opinion of all this... hey everybody, if we continue what the girls started we might actually see some blue in here soon! LOL Okay, just kidding.
But it's probably true that if two guys had said the exact same thing on a female fansite, every other female would have been VERY upset... LOL Somehow, that doesn't seem to be the case here or maybe it's like Guitarzbabe said, they keep their mouths shut. That's generally how it goes here, I think - if there is a post or a poster you don't like, ignore them. Usually it works. Now, Michelle and Sharon are both long-time members on this forum, much more well-known than me, but they are highly respected here and that wouldn't be the case if they posted disrespectful, nasty and not very tasteful dirty jokes about Joe all the time............. or am I wrong?! LOL

Peace and understanding, folks. I'm off to the pool hall....

phryiandominant... have you looked in Webster's Dictionary to see what an idiot you are yet? You claim that you are so educated and that people with English as a primary language should know the dictionary. Maybe you should do a little reading my friend. I hear that you like to "salt every snail". If you want to claim that you are so educated with the English dictionary, try reading it again. You are surely mistaken. Time for your grammar and vocabulary lesson.

Ever hear the expression or vow "Speak now or forever hold your peace"? www.websters.com states that the 3rd definition for "peace" is .....freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions..... as in "I speak my peace". That is totally correct and if you did a little reading you would find that "piece" is an animate object. "speak now or forever hold your piece" NOW THAT IS FUNNY! Did you get that or do you need another grammar lesson on the difference between peace and piece and how to use it correctly in a sentence? I am very educated but it only took 3rd grade to teach me how to use that expression.

Michelle.... Typical bully answers. Do you need another pair of husky pants too? They say you are getting a little too big for your britches.

Joan, do you really want to know who is throwing stones and living in glass houses?

lets all fight and show our IQ.

Dragonchild, I don't think you are wrong. Yes, Michelle likes to "joke" about getting together with the band members on occasion ....Which is a pity. Would you want to hear your mother (or wife) joking about being with another man? Or would you want to read groupie chicks saying that about your father or husband? It is offensive to some including me so I "speak my peace".

Is it that hard to be funny without acting like a tramp? Are trampy jokes the only way to be funny? Must one make jokes about being with another that is married and committed? If you don't have the respect for one's own family not to do that, have the respect for the person we all love.

It would be such a shame if people couldn't speak their peace. But it is even more of a shame to say whatever one wants to say knowing it offends others. "saying whatever you want whenever you want" isn't always the right thing to do even though we are lucky enough to have that right. Just have a little class and respect for Joe and his family here.

Well, it seems like someone hasn't taken her pills lately...... LOL I admire your energy, Guitarzbabe, but why waste your precious time on educating idiots, as you call them? If their IQ is so low, they'll never get it anyway...... Phrygian, your new nickname could be Phry An Idiot! ROFL
As for the grammar, well, I can agree with you that the posts in this forum has got a wide range of correct grammar, but it works the same way as with posts you don't like: if you don't understand them, you ignore them. Same goes for posts with no punctuation, only capitals and so on. At least that's what I do. Too bad if I miss something funny, but naturally more people read your post if you try to make it easier to understand.

Oh, and happy belated 50th to myself! ;-)

Ovation1, Hetfield's voice is EXACTLY how it came out of my head, with the guitar riffs right behind it :) Man, you had me worried for a second. I thought you were singing the theme to Friends on tv in the shower! LOL!!

Song of the day ~ So Fucking What by Metallica :)

guitarzbabe, take it to my mailbox. You're really making yourself look lame. Did you get beat up alot as a kid? What is it with you calling me a bully? LMAO!! I voice my opinion and I'm a bully, but you voice yours and your just saying your PEACE. You sooooo have issues. Therapy might help with that multiple-personality thing you have going on too. Just use your REAL name and stop hiding behind nics. Your talking to thin air on here now. If you want me, you know where I'm at. It's been fun. ta!

edit** you wrote - "It would be such a shame if people couldn't speak their peace. But it is even more of a shame to say whatever one wants to say knowing it offends others. "saying whatever you want whenever you want" isn't always the right thing to do even though we are lucky enough to have that right. Just have a little class and respect for Joe and his family here."

If I spent my life worrying if what I said was going to offend somebody, I wouldn't be living much of a life. Censoring myself for YOUR benifit will never happen. Life is for LIVING. I don't think I said anything offensive in my post to SHARON (not YOU). I didn't know I should have run it by the Southern Belle Etiquette Committee to see if it was proper for a lady to speak her mind. Maybe you should lighten up instead of standing there pointing fingers at everyone who isn't "proper" enough for your little world.

Joan, thanks - love ya!

Matt, do you also do P.T. poke & Cadillac slap? LOL!!

GEEZUS!!! It is "a lot". not "alot". lol.

"take it to my mail box" ...."take it outside".lol ummmm. don't know where we are getting the idea you're a bully.

all of us using nicknames must have multiple personalities.

One more thing..... one doesn't end a sentence with "at". "At" is a preposition.

XCPX- You're right. Sorry guys if I have participated in dragging this discussion beyond its worth.... I've had my say in it and I'll shut up now. ;) BTW, why do I even care in the first place - my first language is Swedish, not English!!! LOL I promise I won't nag if you decide to try some phrases in my language! Hey Joe, on your next concert in Stockholm (soon to come, I hope), try this when talking to the crowd: "Hej, jag heter Joe och jag är ganska bra på att spela gitarr." ROFL

Excuse me,Is this the room for an argument?..lol......O.K. folks,I am going to heat things up a little more...lol..I have read some pretty ridiculous post's here lately. But today takes the cake!.First of all, even jblaze1 was offended when the word Idiot came into play. Not a very wise choice of words..needless to say that Phrygian Dom didn't deserve that comment.Misinformed was a better term.Second,Joe wants this site to be uncensored. You can say what you want as long as it doesn't get abusive.Offensive is a fine line but there is no mistaking abuse.I even thought Michelle was abused here.I did not find her earlier comment to Joe to be offensive(a little strange) but obviously some else did....that's what makes us all different...So deal with it.I certainly won't lose sleep over it & nor will Michelle. If you do lose sleep over it,That's your problem! Michelle is one of the most level headed people I can think of here.I definately think apologies are in order to Michelle & Phrygian Dom.If someone called me an Idiot,I would be on them like a bum on a balony sandwich..All over 'em like a cheap suit!.....Now that was totally disrespectful!....I have said my "Peace" "Love" & good happiness stuff:) P.S. Right on Michelle. You don't need any help from me but I gave it to you anyway & you will like it!!!..lol...Joke 'em if they can't take a fuck!....I will come back after things have cooled off a bit here. But right now I can't believe what I have read....Ridiculous....jblaze1 Hi Joe

<sigh>... keep/hold (one's) peace = to be silent websters.com

speak one's piece = A declaration of one's opinions or findings websters.com. I find it quite sad that some people seem to feel the need to resort to name calling when somebody doesn't agree with them. It's also display of personality type when somebody cannot admit when they are wrong. And I don't remember claiming to be "so intelligent". Is somebody putting words in my mouth (so to speak)? Oh, and I'm not your friend. You heard that I like to put salt on snails? I seriously doubt that.

drafter37: I agree, EOC has some amazing playing on it, I especially like EOC itself, the solo is excellent! The sweat thing - yeah, it's sickening! lol

Well I guess I had the right to defend myself LOL... still thinking about that pizza though... Austin!!!!
