Cream time everyone. We were graced, finally. Good to hear you're still alive Joe. Rest up. Rest well. You have a helluva lot of blue to write to make up for it!
On another note, Naty's comment the other day stuck in my head as I flicked through TV channels tonight.... there was some comedy thing on and one guy said he had figured out why men don't realise how bad women's periods are - he reckons it's because the women in the tampon TV ads are too happy! He went into some detail (of course), but I thought the concept was pretty sound.
guitarzareusandithinkimababe: you run out of retorts? It's been kinda quiet since I showed T2J how ignorant you really are! Hit me baby! Just one more time! (Unless you look like Britney of course!!!!!!! In that case I can probably make two times). Go for it. I need your love, baby.lmao
Joe - seriously, good to HERE YOUR home (rofl little dig there, no offence)... have a good rest, and please, tell us of your secret plans for the future! Classical? Another DVD? With secrets? Tell us dude!!!!!! After you rest, of course!!!!!

Hey Joe! Question- when you come to Las Vegas on Dec 1, can you do something about that +21 thing? I'm only 19 (20 in Feb) and I would love to go. Alot of my friends would love to see you too!
This would be greatly appreciated!
Anyways, rest and keep on inspiring!

Joe (and all who contributed to the quality), are there any plans to put forth a "Strange Beautiful Music" DVD along the lines of Live in SF?
I find the "Live" DVD to be one of the most passionate, well-filmed exposes of a great guitarist doing his thing that I have ever seen.
Please consider the same for "Strange Beautiful.."!

Clarky: How is this: Ä ?
If you use the character map in the windows menu you can find a whole lot of (love -- uh, I mean) foreign letters and symbols. If the Greek capital delta isn't good enough for you, try searching through the map for other stuff.
I read it, and understood it, but I've forgotten it already. It's okay, it'll still open up on that post! Just don't get too far ahead!
edit okay that character didn't work. I'll try a few more.
how's this: Δ▲△
Here're some useful symbols for music: (natural sign wouldn't copy...it comes up as one of those squares)♭♯
try again: ♮

Hey Joe,
What happened with Stu Hamm on the San Fran DVD?
The crowd seemed to hate him.
Your the reason I picked up the guitar 10 yars ago. And you will be my life long guitar idol. Thanks!
Best Wishes,
SF

Hey YaYo, good to see that you always have the knack of saying appropriate things when Joe is around, I really bet that's what he likes to read about...
Crystal Jammer: I checked out Big Bad Moon extensively, and I believe what he says is what I thought before. (Crank that up...hold that tempo.) However it could well be "Back that up" but it's hard to tell.
Ace 9: this is a frequently asked question, and a frequently answered question at that. The crowd are not saying "boo" or "moo" or "hue" or anything to display disapproval, they are saying "Stu" because they think he's cool. As Joe says at the start: "They 'Stu' him 'cause they love him." I hope you understand.
Clarky: I think for the character map you need to use the Arial Unicode MS font. That is why the first one I tried didn't work.
Later guys.
BEN
PS Take it from an Australian, AC/DC are awful. Admit it. Everyone knows only bogans/rednecks are into that music.

I still have not gone to a music store, bought a Steve Vai CD, and starting listening. I got to hear a few little clips of his stuff at his website a while back. Which CD are you guys referring to? Alive in an Ultra World? (If thats what its called)
Ace 9, they're not booing him, they are mooing him. Maybe they are Stuing him...that rhymes too

Dave: yes, they're talking about Alive In An Ultra World, and no, I still haven't been tempted to buy it yet. A bit apprehensive you may say. I do like his Alien Love Secrets, Fire Garden and Passion & Warfare albums but it's a risky business with Steve. He's like a box of chocolates: you never quite know what you're gonna get. Unlike Joe who never leaps too far from the norm, Steve likes to be a little more different. He generally mixes it up a bit but it's still a lucky dip!
btw, still looking for The Ultra Zone, but more excited about the Foo's new album 1x1 (one by one) which comes with a bonus DVD.
FOOOOOOOOO!
It is Foo not moo. (or iuuuuuue)

Just got back from seeing Stu at a clinic here in Hartford. That man is a monster on the bass. Went out after he was done while Dave Dicenso did his thing to smoke a cigarette and remembered that Stu said he was going out back. So I took a stroll and found him. He is a really nice guy. We talked for a few minutes and he said he was gonna go check out Dave playing. After Dave was done they jammed together. Now this is the first time they ever met and they rocked. Still cant get over Stu's playing. Simply amazing. got his autograph too which was nice. Well, this wont be anything I soon forget. What a night.

Hi, Joe! Glad to your back in one piece-sweet dreams! I'm looking forward to some pictures from the Asian shows and new US dates! Not much to say except that my song of the day is "War". Was this song about the Gulf War by any chance? It would've been around that time and it has some middle-eastern phrases in it-just curious! A powerful song! Hey guys...about Alive in an Ultra World-I was just listening to it today again. I usually just do like 5 tunes from the first CD...then I lose the motivation to listen to more. I really enjoy "Great Balls of Gold", "Burning Rain", "Black Forest", "Blood and Glory" but I know what you mean. Sometimes the riffs have parts you swear are Joe's like even in "Great Balls.." - part of it sounds like Turkey Man for a minute there? Still nice though. I've said it before-I just don't find Steve to be as consistent and compelling a writer as Joe by any stretch of the imagination! As far as technical skill, I don't doubt he's awesome, but that doesn't help if you can't get people to stay interested. Vai has some shining moments where he does something mind-blowing like "For the Love of God" but I wouldn't collect his stuff the way I do Joe's. I've blabbed long enough-Joe, you're the best!

Hi everyone...
Joe - Welcome back! :-) It's great to hear that you enjoyed Asia...I'm sure the fans over there had just as much fun. Take your time to rest up, but we really do miss you around here. It'd be cool if you could post here a little more regularly. Also, did you know that your three upcoming shows at the House Of Blues venues (Las Vegas and two in Los Angeles) are 21+? Is there anything you can do to fix that?
Bushmaster78FS - Joe said in a recent interview that he believes in God. That's all that he said about it, so I think that's all we should say about it...it's pretty personal.
michelle - Now that you bought a new copy of the CD, the old one should show up any day now. Let us know when it happens. ;-)
Ya Yo Gakk - I didn't notice that. Most people here think that the first track (I think it's Giant Balls Of Gold) sounds like Hordes Of Locusts.
Ace9 - It is Stu, not boo. :-)
locust7 - Awesome! Stu rocks.
...Austin...

Joe!! Glad you made it back. Welcome home! Hope you guys had a great time, and I hope your heading to the east coast with this tour (please & thank you). LOVE YA!!
For Adun, are you calling Joe a bogan/redneck? He said once before that AC/DC should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Maybe that's the kind of folks that dig them where you come from, but not here.
PhryDom, don't sweat it. She'll be back in a bit (or sooner) under aaaanother nic and pretend she's all nicey-nice, then she'll show her true colors and go on the attack. It's happened before, it'll happen again. It's a shame she doesn't have the guts to use her real name and stop hiding behind false identities. She's so transparent it's sickening. I really feel sorry for her. To be so jealous as to point fingers at me like I'm guilty for things that have happened in HER past... I'm happily married and with my husband for 20 years. I have no problems there. Not one episode of infidelity, but for her to take out her inadequacies as a woman on me, well, it's always easier to point the finger at others so you don't have to look at yourself. I really wish she would get help for her problems instead of pretending she has it all together. She's about as together as Pennsylvania & California. It's a shame really.

Yeah, their fans are that kind of people around here, and you know it's funny (strange) that AC/DC are actually from here, and are that kind of people too. Isn't that funny (strange)?
It's like some opera singer with a local "fan-base" of opera junkies and a massive fan-base in another country of techno junkies. (I use the word junkies loosely, I'm not at all saying that techno or opera is junk.) Seems kind of funny (strange) to me.
