Phrygian Dominant - (from several pages back)

When I was asking the G3 question, I just gave examples based on people who've already done it, to get those kind of coments. Good ideas so far though. I have to admit, my plan was threefold, to try and guess who might play at the next G3, to to get to know some names of some good guitar players (i trust satriani fans taste more than anyone elses) to listen to, and I also had my own secret agenda....

Anyone else for a G3 tour? That King's X guy I suppose would be a possibility- has he done any solo stuff or just stuff with the band?

MICHELLE - Yeah, i was in 'Nam............ Birming'nam :-)

FOR ADUN - It was 'The Crazy World of Authur Brown', I heard a story once that when they used to gig in the seventies they played a small venue near where i used to live. Part of the stage show was that when he did the 'I am the god of hellfire' etc. there was a fuel filled channel at the front of the stage and as he says 'fire' the flames shoot up. Well being as it was early on and on a budget, the pyrotechs were more basic than today. Anyway on this night at Spalding, he stands at the stage front and gives it ' I am the god of hellfire and i bring you.....fire' and a voice comes from the side of the stage and says 'No you don't, cos we can't find the bloody matches' lmao

NARFACE - Congrats on the 100, i'm working on it ;-)

As a developing country we've lot of limitations to proceed with guitar. I'm playing it since 1988. I'm very delighted to send u a message & will be more delighed if I get response from u. Thanks everybody related to your site. Thank U Joe. U R simply a great Guitar Player.

death cube - if you already have lots of good ideas, I'd suggest playing them over and over so that they become automatic.... practice improvising by just jamming over your entire CD collection... when you're improvising, listen to yourself, think, don't worry so much about technique [not for this kind of practice - that settles down later] just think about spinning these ideas into the solo... have a few set pieces pre worked out... this way you can throw these in and then improvise between them.... take a theme from a set piece and try to respin it during the solo [this gets you thinking on your feet]... if it sounds bad at first dont worry... it gets easier with time.. you just need to do more of it..
Mr Nick - ... funny.. I've not noticed at all.. I guess that kind of thing sort of passes right over me.. I think I've always got on well with most folks in here pretty much the whole time I've been a member [must be a little over 18 months... maybe more].. the only time when things got pretty bad for me was during the Avarice scandle and my involvement in it... many thought it was really funny, I thought it was really clever, some folks got very upset, and by some I've never been forgiven and still stand falsely accused.... I dont lose sleep though.. lol lol... my main mission in here is to help al the players..... of which there are many in here.... if I can make a difference then that makes me feal very good....
phryg dom - I've been to Kuta, Bali, it is a beautiful place.... I just cant imagine it being blown up.... I wandered around Bali for something like a month.... very fond memories
For Adun - that's a very nice idea with the lyrics....

MR NICK (if you're still listening) yeah, I really like alive in an ultra world. Other people I know who listen to Vai say that it's not very him, but it was what convinced me that Steve hadn't lost it after the ultra zone (one of two albums I ever sold back to the shop?

Thanks for the info r6rocker........That must have been awesome to see that performance!!......He must be in his 60's today?? I'm sure he can still tear up the guitar though!!

lol jblaze 1......AA is a term government people have to use.... I've always wondered why they haven't changed the NAACP abbrev. yet....Maybe cause there would be too much papwk. involved and laws that would take forever to change....Yeah man, peas on Earth!! ;-)

For Adun: lol on finding the Gutterboy post!! BTW, wasn't it elpp that started the "Banned to the Winger site" thing for people who wrote for guitar lessons and stuff like that?? LMAO!!

Dave Mc: That sounds really cool....You've got a treasure there!!....I wonder if JOE has one??

JS Clone 1: I love that solo too!! I really don't like the way the song starts, but after the first intro going into those wild scales and then the solo....Brilliant!!

Congrat's Narface!!!!

Clarky: LOL on nihyaku....I mean, 200!!!!!

It is Stu not boo has almost a years worth of posts!!!..lol!!

Peace all, /\/\ike

After 9 long years they're back... GUNS N' ROSES! Returning to Wilkes-Barre 12/8. Tickets go on sale this Saturday 10/19, but as a cc.com subscriber we are offering you the chance to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the public. Presale Begins Thursday 10/17 @ 10 AM Ends Friday 10/18 @ 11:59 PM Your Password is "democracy7" All acts, dates, times and ticket prices subject to change without notice. A service charge is added to each ticket price. All events are rain or shine.

I posted this in case anyone in the area wants tickets for G&R (I'll pass). I hate passwords, and IMO, it should be an even battlefield to get tickets. Pre-sales are fine, but screw passwords!! GO TO TICKETMASTER for these tickets to use this password. Hopefully it will work for anybody who wants to use it.

Now, since Cool #9 is the song of the day, lets CRANK IT UP!!
