Phryg:Thanx dude:)If you bought me one, don't worry! We wouldn't be swapping spit or taking long showers....lol....Swapping Licks maybe...lol..Besides,My girlfriend wouldn't like that.
Technology is getting soooo good these days. It's nice to have such a broad range of quality effects for a reasonable price.....
I started with an MXR distortion Plus back in the day. Then tried many different stomp boxes along the way.Even the Boss DS1 but I didn't like it.
People don't realise how versitile the POD is.Sooooo many different combinations.I have experimented with it alot and can now actually "Dial in" any sound or combination I choose in a flash.
I am ever so happy with my POD & I wouldn't trade it for anything except the PODxt..he,he
How much do the V-amps go for these days??...jblaze1 Hi Joe

Jblaze I think the v-amp2's go for just over £100 or around that price. From what i've heard that sounds reallyyy great value. I think ive decided what im going to do. I think i'll get that Marshall AVT50head for chirstmas and save up for the v-amp2 and buy one for myself later on....of course that could all change in a week or so lol.........Joe Rules.....

crippler - try to undo it with pliers but put some cloth between the jaws to ensure that you dont scratch the metal [if you havn't done that already. You may have to take the bridge off and grip it in a vice... if you still can't get it sorted take it to a luthier....

As for cases.. I use very nice gig bags, only cases when the guitar flies in cargo - US trips...

Dyer - the theory is worth the effort in the long run.... stick with it..

I wonder why Joe named one of his songs "Crying". I wonder what he has to cry about. The same thing with "Tears in the Rain". Oh another really pretty song is "The Forgotten Part 2". Last night I was up til 1:00 am eastern time listening to it. He has a lot of REALLY beautiful songs. You can tell he has a lot of love in him, because he names his songs after his wife, Rubina, and his kid Z.Z.......

hey
greetings from Poland :/
Clarky - I just started learning some scales, and I even used one - in some song, I don't know what's the title, I didn't know from what note it starts, but it sounded just like the scale I learnt, and I took tonic as first note in song, and then I went to my friend who is professional guitar player and he sad I am right, cool! :)
bye!

XCPX and jblaze: Digital Village are doing the V-Amp2 for £99.99, or £179.99 with the huge floor controller. XCPX - yeah you'd probably need to upgrade your pc to get some decent results out of it. JB - swapping spit ROFL!!!

/\/\ike: Yes, he IS amazing! So clean and accurate, I noticed. Like at the start of Crystal Planet, his hand is positioned so "intentionally". I notice daft things like that sometimes!

Man, what a great weekend this is!!! Later everyone, Dave

Ovation, wow! There's some love in the room now! lol! Gotta love that happy buzz ;-)

Congrats Gabriel !!

Fridge Ian, (ha!), it's raining here, but I'm not lovin' it. lol! Rain makes me want to sleep.

Narface, Joe had a couple of strobe lights going when he played here with D.T. & King's X. I thought they were going to blind me when I heard about them because we were close to the stage, but they turned out to be pretty cool. I don't remember if there was a smoke machine, but it was an outside gig, so it wouldn't have clogged up the room anyway.

Happy 200 to me!

Ga6o, congrats and best wishes...marriage can be very rewarding. Get settled in with your new wife and THEN buy your guitar back....lol. Good Luck :) You can't just QUIT guitar...it's always with you...

Happy 200th Michelle.....

Does anyone in here own an RG 570? I was thinking that if a JS-1000 is totally out of reach, I would settle for a 570. Any positive remarks about it? Thanxxx

Happy 365 to me! This is crazy...I can't believe I've made so many posts in just a few months.

I was listening to Memories from Dreaming #11 just a few minutes ago. Stu is so awesome on that song...I love it.

Mr Nick - I'd hate to see Joe do a greatest hits album. Live albums are much better.

OCPS470 - I'll download your music when I'm done here. I'll let you know what I think.
ovation1 - Have you placed the order for the GHS CDs yet? Do you know what the expected shipment date is? I'm getting antsy over here, LOL. I know you're gonna love them.
LGU89 - I think Jeff has posted twice in the 2 1/2 years that I've been here. The new version of this site (promoting Strange Beautiful Music) went live in June, and he hasn't been here since then.
Ga6o - Congrats on the marriage thing... :-) Will there be any JS music at the wedding?

...Austin...

FridgeIan I've been doing some more homework on the lovely jubley Behringer and i dunno why this thing isn't all over the place like POD's are lol, i've been looking all over the place and reading reviews and i've heard nothing but good stuff about the v-amp2 so i think definately in the long run im going to get one and get the marshall for christmas, just one more question then i'll stop pestering (lol) what recording software do you use? Do behringer have a programme which you can download or do you use something else? Do you have any experience with Cubase VST? and do you know if i'd be able to use the v-amp with it? Thanks again for all your help on my little quest lol.........Joe Rules.....

XCPX: You're not pestering matey!!! I use Cakewalk Sonar 2, and sometimes Cool Edit Pro for audio editing. I've tried Cubase, and Logic Audio, but always found the Cakewalk line a little easier. Maybe it's because Cubase and Logic didn't start out on the PC platform, I don't know. I hear Sonar is mega with Win2k / ME / XP because it fully utilises the 32 bit architecture (OK, I'll get me coat).
You won't have any problems with a V-Amp2 and *any* software really, because all the computer "sees" is an audio signal coming in - it doesn't know (or care!) where it came from :-) The Behringer software is for controlling / accessing the V-Amp itself, it doesn't do any recording of its own. I hope that lot makes sense!!!!

You know I might just change my login name at this rate LOL Easy everyone, Flea for G3!!!! Still can't get that song out of my head!!!!!!!!!!!

FridgeIanDominant Thanks for the help (again) :) At school we use Cubase vst and its soo easy to get the basics down i'll probably end up using that, wooahhh after reading more and more on the Behringer v-amp im really starting to want one now lol, i download the manual so i'll know what to do with it when i do eventually buy one, oh god this weeks loterry numbers are crap lol sorry to drift away there its just my mum and dad were sure (for the 40 millionth time) that we were gonna win this week lol, anyway, Dave (if i may call you that, i feel mean calling you fridgeian now lol) what processor have you got on your pooter? Like i said earlier my crappy pentium 2 only runs at 350mhz but i've got another processor which runs at 500mhz which i could fit if my pooter couldn't handle recording at the moment, i'm pretty sure i'll have to get some more hard drive space though, we've only got 8.6 gb and i've used about 5.17 of that lol maybe i'll consider upgrading to 40 or something, also i have a fairy average soundcard, nothing special, will having an average sound card drastically affect my ability to record? It will obviously i was just wondering if it was going to be essential....hehe im only 14 i guess its best to get all this clear in my head for the long run lol thanks for all the help again...........Joe Rules.....

the one thing you *need* with sound cards and recording is full duplex - that means that it can playback and record at the same time. Virtually every card nowadays has this anyway so you shold be fine. Hard disk space and access speeds is the main thing though.
