Yeah, it's kinda funny, not to lessen the JS Clones or anything, but most of that is intentional, my pic is just a fairly bizarre coincidence... As for that bass... yeah, it's my baby, it has now been blessed by: Phil Chen, Chuck Archard, Ed Friedland, Dave Levtov, MICHAEL MANRING and STUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!
I'm very proud of this, as you might be able to tell ;)

hey all,
my selection for the third spot G3 would go to a guy here in denmark... his name is Tim Christensen... he has had several succesful records here... ok he may not be a shredder but i think that his guitar and song writing ability could be appreciated by a lot of people of this site...
clarky : that was tragic... its sad to here cases like that...
dragonchild : i have not dared to tackle h. c. andersen in danish yet... perhaps its about time that i gave them a try...
cheers...

jblaze1: Black, White, Asian, Hispanic or Spanish as I refer to it are the "politically correct" terminology......NAACP was formed back in the day when racism was the norm....
Colored is the terminology that our Grandfathers used.... Ask a brother (and my best friend is one) what he thinks is right and you'll find the answer....Just wanted to expound on that
dude :-)
Dave Mc: lol, JS Clone 1 explained EVO quite well :-) Also,
sounds like you got a treasure of a poster!!
Welcome back pakihaki!!
Clarky: Best of luck on the FN try....If anyone has a chance (judging from who's on there now), you do!! BTW, RIGHT ON!
....About the Power Of Music!!!!!
For Adun: Thank's for the link bro'....Laughter is always the best medicine ;-)
Peace all, /\/\ike
My G3 choice......Paul Gilbert instrumental only....Need that to help counter the VAIification and then have JOE send us to a better place.... :-)

Stu Clone: that's pretty cool, you do resemble Stu a bit. What next? Do I have to become a Jeff Clone? I'd have to shorten my sideburns (a long way) and remove the bush under my chin...reduce it back to a goatee! (Just to clarify, my sideburns do not join up with my beardesque forest...there is 1/2 a razor width above the bottom of my cheekbone of bare skin (not right now, but when I shave it will) at the closest point. Also would have to start cutting my hair again. Basically last time it was cut was just before Christmas, and it was like Matt's in that photo except mostly a few cm shorter. Now it looks like Steve Vai's hair on this pic or on this pic.
Yikes. I could be a SyVy Clone!

Joe did an interview with Total Guitar magazine about three months ago. He said that he would love to get Kirk Hammett to be the third member of G3 next time around. I actually consider Metallica's "Master Of Puppets" to be the best album of all time, so that line up would be pretty much perfect.

njbeast: I'm pretty sure it's from the LISF DVD and not the TM recording. If you listen to the part when it fades out, I think you'll realise it's on LISF CD & DVD but not TM. It doesn't really make any sense to use a sound clip for a DVD menu from a previous release when the same song is on it.
Who was it that promised to use a cattle prod on any "Hey Joe" quoters? Was it you Clarky? I seem to recall the prod being potentially placed somewhere unsavoury...not that I condone this kind of behaviour...

Man, I tell ya Joe, when you released the tour dates with no mention of Portland or Seattle, it just broke my heart. But now I have to say that the most heartbreaking situation has transformed into the most incredibly perfect combination of timing and circumstance in all my recorded memory! Booking a show at the Roseland is orgasmic (and eargasmic!) enough in itself but, doing it on the day after my birthday is just beyond perfect! I can't even begin to express my gratitude! I do promiss you though, if and when I get another circle track race car built (hopefully a 360 winged sprint car) it would be my total pleasure to let you "have your way with it" any time you wish!
You know, ever since the beginning I like so many others have been awed by your ability to express your art the way only you can do but, the one quality that I've appriciated the most in your music is the "vibe" that is purveyed in so much of it that enables me to feel the smile of it's creator and experience enough of the joy you get from playing it to be very peaceful and happy, inside and out. No matter how pissed, sad or depressed I get after about 20 to 30 seconds of one of your songs makes it melt away. Doing something to create happiness in others is just about the best gift any of us can give to each other. You do it for millions of people around the world! For all the times you've helped me smile while the shit was hitting the fan and my face, THANK YOU, JOE! From the bottom of my heart! See you in Portland!

For Adun: Yes, I believe your right, in that it was Clarky.... It
might be time to warm that thing up again, aye matey *-)
Just wanted to make a quick comment about John McLaughlin.
I've known the name all along, but never heard his music till a friend lent me "Shakti" and "Mahavishnu Orchestra" tonite!! All
I can say is that man was/is ahead of his time!! Incredible guitar work that is just flawless with no mistakes on a specially scalloped acoustic (on Shakti) made for him.... I can see why people talk very highly of him and his contributions
to the guitar world!!!! Anyone know what he is doing these days?!?!
Nite all, /\/\ike
BTW, Clarky....check your email....

OVATION1 (aka The Count) - John Mclaughlin was playing in the Mahavishnu Orchestra in the '70s I think. I don't know what he is up to now but he went on to play with Al Di Meola and Paco Da Lucia - just 3 acoustic/electro acoustic guitars - Passion Grace and Fire is a classic album. I remeber seeing one of their gigs on TV quite a while ago called 'The Meeting of the Spirits' - I don't know whether this was released as a live CD or whether now it might even be available on DVD - anybody else know ?
