The Local Person - I'd say thanks but i'm still trying to figure out why I was in that ever so kind message.

Whojack - Problem.

PhrygDom - (Was a joke ... "ha ha?") ... haha next thing we know, there's a huge ORANGE post "you guys should congratulate clone 1 on his number of messages etc..."

DeathCube K - I dug that song anyways. Was interesting to listen to. I'm starting to realize there is a lot of repetativeness in instrumental guitar rock. Few artists can maintain my interest. Some guitarists who write songs are really great players but they're compositions don't have a whole lot to them to make them special.

-My hand, getting better. I'm playing every second day for 3 - 4 hours. It's really not enough time but I can't push it. Learning Hordes of Locusts all BY EAR (no tabs! tabs evil) to play at my school's xmas assembly. I'm learning both the NOTE version and the D#11 version. They're slightly different and they both have some parts to mix and match.

Invigor's hand?

Hey everyone. I don't post much but I read T2J many times a day and as I was reading just now I noticed all this talking of Satch bootlegs, and I'd be about happy and a half if I could actually get my hands on one of them! I can't imagine having several of them as some of you guys have. It must be nice, considering that live Satch is about the best stuff in the world. I have nothing to trade except money (which is illegal I think, so my money is worthless in this case) and a couple of Zeppelin bootlegs. If any of you with bootlegs are willing to burn/tape one for me please email me at metalkimes@hotmail.com. I'll send the blank cds/tapes and whatever else we can work out as far as trading goes. Next, on the topic of fav Satch songs to drive to I'd have to say mine is either "One Big Rush" or MPHGT. I got pulled over on my way to see Joe while jammin' LISF. Before I go, what do you guys think of the version of "Echo" from Time Machine? I haven't seen anyone mention it and I think its badass! Once again thanks for the theory info, those who post it. Keep shreddin' everyone. Later

Let's go, Angels!!! :-)

anilo keniha - Yeah, Joe will still have the same lineup for the upcoming shows.

eyesy - Joe's guitar is still mssing.
liquidguitar - That would be AWESOME, but I don't think it's true. The World Series games are so popular that record companies pay a lot of money to get their musicians to play (or sing) the National Anthem. Sadly, this just doesn't sound like something Sony would do for Joe.

Someone shoudl go to ebay and ask the owner for the serial # of that guitar...then post the # on T2J so that Joe can see if it's his or not. Just a thought :) I know what it's like to have a guitar stolen - my very first one was ripped from my home along with a TV, VCR, and my best bud's 1st axe as well. Oh well, such is life - I have newer better guitars now and they're safer so HA HA HA HA HA

Does anyone know if you can get the Reel Satriani on DVD yet? I lost my VHS a long long time ago and didn't replace it cuz I wanted to see if Sony would release it on DVD.

Joe I think you should record your own version of Paganini's 5th Caprice to all us Y2J groupies. Just a wishful thought! Keep rockin'!

Stu Clone - I hope it is true, then. It looks like chances are pretty good if you heard it on tv. I'll be watching it, of course...but now I'll be sure to tape the beginning. And just so everyone knows, the game is scheduled to start at 5:00 (SF time), but chances are the National Anthem will happen around 4:50 or 4:55. So tune in early. Fox's coverage starts at 4:30. They have shown the first two anthems live...they show the first few seconds and the last few seconds, with some other footage (crowd, etc.) in between. They air all of the audio, though. I don't know if they'll do the same for Joe Satriani...he isn't as popular (sadly).

Edit - If anyone finds an official press release that mentions the above, can you post it? Thanks.

...Austin...

SOTD (Mon. 21st): anything off 1x1 by Foo Fighters. Bought it today. (Haven't watched the bonus DVD yet.)

re the "come to Australia" deal:

Joe won't come here for promo reasons. "What do you mean by that?" In a local guitar magazine earlier this year Steve Vai was interviewed and asked about whether he would be touring Australia again soon. It was a while ago so I can't quote it verbatim but he said along the lines of the following:

Australia is a great country, with great people, and is great to play in -- however the only way to get any publicity in Oz is either to be a massive chart hit in US/Europe and get flogged on the radio, or get played on alternative radio or Triple J...and everyone knows (Steve Vai's) stuff will never get any airplay here.

In regard to this topic he used very "aggressive" language thus showing how very strongly he felt.

Another factor in this is that Australia is a very vast country, and even if Joe played a show in Sydney and Melbourne (in order to ensure good attendance), most of the country would still be nowhere near the show. I'll give you a US equivalent: Joe plays in LA and SF as his national tour. It's crazy.

#5: At the office copy machine: "Reproducing eh? Can I help?"
#6: Can you catch? I think I'm falling for you.
#7: Excuse me, could I have your phone number? I seem to have lost mine.
#8: Do you know what winks and makes love like a panther? (then wink)
#9: Bond. James Bond...
#10: Is it hot in here or is it just you?

Have fun!! ^_^
