death cube k: I'd love to, but my music PC is kinda slow :( I usually get two rhythm guitar tracks and a lead track, along with all the MIDI nonsense. It's a shame - I know there's so much more there, but my little tired PC can't handle it!!!! I do have Amplitube, but sadly have to use it to process mono files alone, rather than use it as a "real" plugin.
<sigh>...technology.... <shrugs>

hello mr satriani,
years ago i bought a signature gitar with your name on it. js 100 from ibanez. well i´m an amateur, no pro.
i thought it must not be the js 1000. to change the pick ups was easy, but mark the knobs of the volume- and tonepoti was not that easy.
the german distributor told me to rip off the knobs from the axis of the potis. i did. but this destroyed the tone poti. what a mess.
i could not repair it, i think this poti and switch was not made by industry. i think someone fumble it together on homework.
so i have two questions and i think you must not answer. first - does the volumepoti of your gitar also work after 30 degrees? perhaps not.
why is this rubbish a signatur modell ?

heh will T2J be made into a soap opera?
eh i think we are forgetting the whole purpose of this page, and that is to TALK 2 JOE....
So joe, how are ya? how the family? hows the songwriting? have you ever tried Laney amps? What do you think? and is there any chance of a signature Conford amp???
and of course the obligatory "When are you coming to Australia?" question must be asked!

y'kknow Pete, you have a point: It's been said so many times that sometimes people (well, me!) forget it: Joe you said you wanted to concentrate on live performance for the next year. What's wrong with the Australians??? They seem pretty cool to me, and these guys have been asking for months!!!!!! (no offence Aussies!)

The_Crippler: JS100 has a LO-TRS II right? You mentioned the "nut" at the bottom of the tremolo, well, it looks more like a screw, but it is suppose to tighten and loosen the tremolo arm. Just loosen the screw, and if it's still stuck, use pliers to do the opposite of what you did to tighten the bar. To prevent scratches on the trem & stuff, put a cloth over it before gripping it with the pliers.

The photos of the HK gig came out... but it sux... That stupid disposable camera with that useless roll of film screwed everything up. There was no zoom, photos are grainy... shoot! The "flash" sucked as well. Blame the camera. Also, that annoying smoke machine on the stage... even Matt was annoyed by the smoke! He constantly waved his hand around to blow away the smoke... he ended up standing way back on stage to avoid the dumb smoke... whose idea was it to have a smoke machine on stage? By the end of the show, the whole room was smoking! I'm glad the smoke detectors didn't go off...

Howdy Joe! Myself and many local fans would love to see
you come and play a show in Salt Lake City. I don't
ever remember a Satriani show stopping in Salt Lake. There
is a killer facility at the University of Utah--Kingsbury Hall that
would be a perfect location with excellent acoustics ,as it
was once home to the Utah Symphony. Both Eric Johnson and Jeff Beck have played there during the last couple
of years. We need a Satch show! Let me know, I'd be happy
to help with the arrangements.

Invigor, i know Tears in The Rain. if you need help with it, ask me. it's not too hard. it's a very emotional song when you are sad or depressed about something. love that song. That song is really what came to my rescue when my good friend went out with the girl i loved... drummers. of course. it's a beautiful song... aptly named.

Hey Satchaholics
Hey peeps I was looking thought some old total guitar mags and i came across one with a satch riff in it with a backing track, and it was called Surfing In A Summer Dream?????????? what the hell is that all about, I think it was just a example of satch's playing, I think we should have a lot more satch in Total Guitar and less Shite bands, what do you guys think?????????.
Joe--------On a live set do you use an effects loop or do you go straight from the guitar into your peddels and striaght into your amp?
Cheers
Dave

tears in the rain is a great song.
I play it when I'm feeling down or lonely.
There are some tricky stretches, but it's not a difficult song to pick up.
When I'm in an energetic mood or very happy I play midnight or Headless horseman - I love that two hand tapping!!!
