Sorry that my Terry Bozzio-link didn't work, here's the address instead: www.dwdrums.com/pages/artdetail.asp, or you can go via www.dwdrums.com, choose Artist Link, then Artist Setup and scroll down to Terry Bozzio.

Matt King: Congrats on your engagement! You must have learned to live with being confused... LOL Or do you have some secret trick for Austin? ;)

Something scary happened to me today: I passed out on the subway on my way to an exam... The train was late and I was all stressed up about being too late for being allowed inside to take the test, I had slept bad and not eaten much of a breakfast. So all of a sudden, in the middle of the crowd, I could just feel myself sliding down to the floor and I passed out. Not for long, but still....... Some nice folks helped me out at the next stop and I just took the subway back home again and slept for a few more hours, so now I'm feeling reasonably OK again. Huh. Maybe I'll try to eat something before my next test.........

Dragonchild Take it easy dudette :) i take stress really bad too, you wouldn't think i get that much since im only 14, but school work and everything else really piles up on me, it doesn't help when your long-tearm gf finishes with you either out of the blue for no reason with a crappy little phone call, just make a nice drink and relax in a comfy chair and put 'Clouds Race Across The Sky' on :) usually works for me........Joe Rules.......

Matt congrats on the engagement. It's a good excuse for a party.

Austin - women are supposed to be confusing, it's how we keep you blokes on your toes. Anyway why are men so untidy, why is it when women clean the house, men come home and mess it up. WHY IS THAT THEN.

Michelle - I always eat more chocolate.

Dilemmas - What To Do

Well here is the pickle I am in at the moment. I am a committee member of a Dobermann Breed Club and we held our annual show on Sunday. During the lunchbreak a friend of mine who has a very stubborn but loveable male, decided to put him through his paces but as usual he wasn't that bothered about co-operating. Her boyfriend took the dog outside and according to witnesses, he literally beat the dog up, at one point the dog was on his back and her boyfriend was still lashing out at him. Complaints have been made, statements written up, fees paid and sent off to the Kennel Club who will now act as a judge and jury would. The chap in question will be finished in the world of dogs but at the moment my friend does not know what is about to happen. she isn't aware about the beating as far as I can tell. Here is the dilemma, do I tell my friend what her boyfriend has done and risk being shot as the messenger, or do I stay stum and keep in line with the confidentiality of the committee that I serve.

LOL Sharon

IMHO you should stuff the committee and tell her, after you tell the RSPCA. If your friend *does* shoot the messenger then at least you have more insight into that "friendship". There is no excuse for animal cruelty. Like I said, it's just my opinion, and yes - you did ask for it ;-)

How's the pup now?

SHARON - tell your friend, if she has your interests at heart she will protect your integrity in return, i've edited this now, to remove the suggestion of violence that was my knee jerk reaction. Maybe your friend won't protect your interests, i don't know. I think Michelle is right, work out what is important to you. I hope you sort it out and i hope your friend gets rid of this scum.

Ovation, I'm gonna steer clear of your SOTD. LOL!! Some ppl can't take a joke. Although, since it didn't come from ME, I'm sure there will be no fuss. I had a good laugh when I read it too.

r6rocker, consider yourself put in a headlock and nuggied! LOL! Although I must say, you were very accurate with the blah, blah, blah. lmao!!!!

Dragonchild, get some rest. You probably started to hyperventilate from all the stress and passed out. Did it ever happen before? It might not be a bad idea to mention it to your doctor next time you go.

Sharon, your in a tough spot. I'd say you have a chance of losing your spot on the committee if you tell her, think about it long and hard first. It depends on what's more important to you, your friend, or the committee. If this is her boyfriend treating her dog like that, who's to say he wouldn't treat her children like that too? She needs to dump his sorry ass and press charges for animal cruelty ~ unless she allows him to beat her dog. In that case, she needs to be booted too and her animals need to be taken away from both of them. There's no excuse to beat an animal like that.

MICHELLE - I'l consider myself told off then ;-)

XCPX - No1, why aren't you in school ? and No2 if you've changed you name to Crystal Planet does that mean that i can call you XXCPX, or TAFKAXCPX (the artist formally known as XCPX) - have you had any more thoughts on the amp front ?

r6rocker Its half tearm i think lol, i go back to school next Tuesday, you can call me what you like! XCPX, is fine or maybe something more polite like Turd will do fine lol, ahhh ye old amp question! Hmmm i dont really know, i was talking to someone who worked in GTR guitars, (the old looking guy lol) mr johnson i think, and he said that the new Marshall AVT series are a lot better than the old Valvestate series (the vs100r that i really liked the look of) but the thing is i dont like the look of the avt's, they look really pooey and small, i've tried the avt50head and it rocked so i guess i'll try the normal avt50 and see if its as good as the head, i tried the Marshall mg100dfx the other day and i have to say i wasn't impressed at all, the distortion was really sucky and didn't have that marshall crunchy punch (lol u know what i mean), so i think i'll have a go on the avt50, and see if i like that, and if i dont then i'll hunt down a vs100r and give that a try, and if neither of them have what im looking for, then i'll start on laney's or a line6 spider etc.........Joe Rules......

Hey Joe

My Boyfriend and myself are getting married next year. He is going to do a guitar set at the wedding in the evening. He's been playing for 14 yrs and is a very dedicated player and fan of yours. He's going to play love thing, up in the sky, crystal planet, always with me always with you. And I think he is also going to be playing some steve vai stuff aswell. He's just got off Die to live, but he is now learning tender surrender. he's working really hard. I feel so guilty as he is doing so much, i want to get him something. Do you have any suggestions. Something autographed would be brilliant like a signed guitar. I've seen some models for auction. But do you know of any signed ones, by yourself, or by vai, as he is crazy about you both.

I dont know if you remember, but at the birmingham gig this year, in july, we were the ones right at the front of the stage screaming the loudest and making you laugh. It was the best gig we've ever seen.

Even if it was a signed photo so i could frame it for him. It would be the best present i could ever give him. apart from our son.

Thanx

luv Sarah xxxx

hey all,

dragonchild : god bedring... you should not neglect yourself just for the sake of a test... the body has to be well looked after to operate at it's best... healthy body, healthy mind... det er sandt!! i understand that the test is important, but IMO its better to be healthy...

sharon : you have to say something (well i would anyway)... if she finds out after everything, that you knew all along, she may be even more pissed at you for not saying something... unfortunately its a fine line...

cheers...

I've just been looking through my hard drive and found some MPEGs I didn't know I had!!! LOL. I just watched Steve Vai & Billy Sheehan do the most insane version of ShyBoy, and then I fast-forwarded to The Animal. Man what a solo section! With Mike Keneally harmonising too. Jaw-dropping!!!

Matt, congrats....best of luck to you and your fiance. Do humanity a favor and defy the odds....

SFO, I'm very surprised that no one answered your question already. I'm pretty sure that the wah is a 535 Q....it has a dial (knob) on the side so you can select different sweep frequencies. I think my next wah will be the "Q". I bought a Vox wah a while back and it's giving me lots of problems.

My ticket came in the mail yesterday for the Strange Beautiful Music in Minnesota show.....big smile :) :) :) :)

Perhaps Ibanez should build Clarky a 38 string 11 neck guitar and produce an instructional video to go with the free Clarky gig-bag.
