Hi everyone...

The Local Person - I first registered on this site in March or April of 2000. It was between EOC's release date and the first night of the tour (4/12/00). However, I didn't start posting here until December of 2000, before the LISF shows at The Fillmore. I was Nitsua111 originally.

cliff82 - Joe hasn't been able to get the prizes together because he's been on the road. I bet he plans to sign the autographs and send everything out sometime before he goes out again in a few weeks.
JS FANATIC - Thanks for being over in Kuwait...I'm sure a lot of us in the USA appreciate everything you're doing. What branch of the military are you in?

...Austin...

Man O Man...Eric... It's too bad that you've been upset with a few of the people here... I missed you man... I hope I wasn't one of those people... if I was... I appologize. I don't like to see Joe or his friends upset. This Guns N Roses thing has everyone curious though... I hope things worked well with those guys! You do have to admit there are alot of trouble makers on the site... poking into people's private affairs and whatnot... and that situation about someone using you to get to meet Joe is just bad business...

Man O Man Joe... Your music pumps me up... gets me going in the morning... I start work at 7:00am every morning and a shot of Satch is perfect to get my ass in gear and pump out the products for my boss... nothing else seems to matter when I'm listening to your stuff... Thanks for the Best Rock out there!!

You're the best!

On a bad note... I've developed some pretty nasty warts on my chording hand... I've tried every treatment out there... then I heard that scientists discovered that "Duct Tape" amazingly removes the warts better than any known treatment available in a drug store other than a prescription. So I'm giving it a shot... better than cutting the head off of the wart in order for me to feel comfortable playing my guitar again or spending tonnes of money on a prescription that may have side effects... Sorry for the graphic explanation gang...

Peace.... Barrie

Benny Boom: I took you for a stronger person than that. Man what a shame. What a loss. *People* object to *my* swearing? But if I aim it at Joe's talent it's OK? So I can say "Joe you're fucking awesome" but I can't say "Steve Vai I fucking wish I could play like you" or "Joe I wish you would fucking play for seven hours next time you come to England"? Of course strong language is *often* uncalled for, but if you saw somebody you knew being personally verbally assaulted for having their own opinion, wouldn't you support them? You've disappointed me mate, big time. I never thought, in a place of strong people, most with lives and opinions of their own, that I would get dissed for being myself, having my own opinion. I guess now I can see who are my *real* friends after all.

Phrygian Dominant: sorry if it came over like that! I never said anything was okay or not, I said maybe (I think I said "maybe" * I certainly meant maybe) some people pick up on it because of that. I don't mean to say saying Joe is "fucking awesome" doesn't twig any reaction either however with some people it doesn't. Seriously, how many times have people said "tsk tsk tsk, language" to those kind of posts? I haven't ever seen any. It's rare that a reaction like what you received from that post would be given to a post with lower frequency of "swearing"...and anyhoo I've lost my train of thought!!! I think you understand what I mean. I'd say too that most of the time it's "non-regulars" (if I can say that) that tend to use such colourful language.

I did observe however that you were directing it in frustration/anger at/in regard to particular people.

As has been said many times before (and recently by Clarky) you can't hear my tone of voice, or see my facial expressions, or watch my gesticulations so it's easy to get the wrong message. Sorry bud!

(PS, not sure if you may have been confused, but only the first paragraph of that earlier message was directed to you, if that makes any difference)

* edit: I didn't say maybe...

To sum up my previous post:

it was supposed to be an observation, not a condemnation.

Who asked? Paul Huxley? I first joined when I found the site by accident in 1998/9 during the Crystal Planet appearance with the Time Machine background for the T2J (or whatever it was called). Then I read the G3 and CP sleeves and realised they had advertised the site. I became a regular around March 2000 but only a poster-of-the-every-other-day-variety since this Autumn (your Spring). I was introduced to Satch (music, not in person) in 1997, so I'm a relatively fresh fan!

I apologize for using this forum, but this is where I was attacked, so this is where I will respond.

In regards to Eric's statements about me:I used no one. I am a decent, honest, and hard working person. Just because the text is orange does not make it the truth. Remember, love is blind. I am lucky that I finally saw the truth.

Some people live for drama and conflict and attention, and get joy out of manipulating others. I am not one of those people. The nice thing is that what most of the people reading this may think of me doesn't really matter much. You see, *I* have wonderful friends(several since grade school), a great family( that is a daily part of my life) , and supportive coworkers(same job for over 12 years). Some people don't have that. I feel fortunate. I have a lot I could say...but I won't. This isn't the place, and I refuse to devote any more energy to perpetuating this toxic chain of events. But, I would like to add this...

Phrygian Dominant...I have no clue who you are, but you are one perceptive individual(as are a few others on this board). Thank you for speaking your mind.

Twig...the cab dropped us off in the *front* of the building. I didn't correct you at the time of your email because it seemed other issues were more important. I realized later that it was a tactic. My guess is that you used that uncorrected fact as validation that I didn't remember the evening's subsequent events. Whatever. Think what you want. Your opinion of me means nothing. The opinions of me that I care about come from the people I respect.

Michelle... FTFF! ;-)

I'm done with this...I hope everyone else is, too. Joan

OH yeah, any of you guys out there that are musicians, or Joe, you could answer this... I am performing for a "Garage Fest" at my school( it is a concert put on by the people that are in the Garage Band class, basically it is a jam session for an hour a day at school that you get a credit for) in about 4 weeks , I am wondering if there are any helpful hints on how to "perform" a song rather than recite it.

P.S. I am playing comfortably numb Pink Floyd, aand With or without you by U2.

Also, Question for whoever can answer it. When Joe plays in MN on December 5, Is there any way to get a backstage pass?

Benny: I accused somebody of name-calling and realised I had done it myself, and so felt the need to justify myself. I swear in my daily life (and I'm sure you do to! admit it!!!!!!) and I know it's not appreciated by everyone. But I won't (I can, but refuse to) change who, WHAT, I am because I used "bad" words, or because I don't agree with what someone with long posts (and orange ones at that) says. Your apology is accepted. I hope you understand where I'm coming from too.

Joan: I have no opinion. I wasn't there. Thanks for thanking me for (I guess) being myself.

Take it easy everyone - is it all really worth it? What will you be able to say after it's all over? "I made someone leave T2J"? or "I met someone on T2J, changed my name and caused hell"? or (more importantly to me) "I am a session guitarist, and helped loads of friends on T2J while I was waiting for a tour"?

Think about it, pull your heads from your arses, remember why we're here, and enjoy it!!!! FFS!!!!!!!

maccarocks - Welcome to the site! What are some of your favorite JS songs?

T Lightnin - Yeah, there's a backstage pass contest for almost every show that Joe does. Choose "Edit/Add Show Attendance" from the site drop-down menu and list yourself as attending the show. A few names are randomly chosen from the list and they each win a pair of backstage passes. Check the site 2 or 3 days before your show (click the "a" by your show on the road page) to see if you're a winner.
michelle - Whistling and clapping hands is hard work...LOL. I think the funniest "instrument" credit I've seen is Stu Hamm on one of Steve Vai's records. I think it's Flex-able, but I don't know for sure (I don't have that one yet). Stu's credited for something like "jail cell rape moans". Haha...

Austin, jail cell rape moans??? LMAO!!!! I mean, ahem, that's not funny....

I believe I have kept my mouth closed long enough on this issue. I am friends with BOTH Twig and Michelle and yes, even Just Joan. I cannot categorize the presence of the orange text in such a mannor as anything less than catostrophic. This should have never gotten this far...morals are something that no two ppl will ever agree on compeletely. I like, (like twig) have extremely high morals, and do not deal well with a sick sense of humor. It's not something I find much humor in...but, I do read on past it. I have seen posts here that are just completely appauling, along with posts to the satch-list...they just make me cringe that people can speak so freely in such perverse manners. I am not saying I am a better person than anyone, I just have different standards in what I think is acceptable in public conversation. We all get a little perverse sometimes, but not right out in the open. It's just not proper, of professional. For the past week or so I have been hearing twig's side of the story, and I must say, she is far from wrong in taking such offense to comments made to band members. She is dating one of them, and if I saw someone post a comment about my sigificant other, or somethign similar to it, I know right away I'd start to get defensive. Bottom line, this should have never have gotten this far. Twig, I hope you don't remain a stranger from here...if you do...please stay in touch with me via email. You know my contact info...take care all. I think I'm on hiatus for a bit after this one...
