Narface there's nothing like that lost confused feeling - exactly what you described has happened to me before. I won't tell you how mine ended lol, you'll just have to wait and see.
Everybody have a great Sunday - here in my profession I have to work on Sundays so I'll be off to work now. Don't put out too many posts cuz I gotta have time to read them all when I get home tonight from work at 10:30. I gotta go back in tomorrow morning at 4 am so I won't have much time lol. Have a great great day everybody!

Thanx 4 the autograph, it meant loads, especially briefly speaking to the person who influenced me to play the way I do know and buy one of your signature guitars (even if it is only the JS100, its all I could afford!). Just one question, how come you signed a paper plate? Not that I'm complaining, it's cool! My dad tried to steal it off me! Cheers! The gig at The Birmingham Academy was great. Hope to see you again next year. x

Repeat post (just for JS Clone 1!)
Thanks ovation1, michelle & PhrygianDominant!!!
Check out these pics of Our Wedding, it was simply perfect. Our guitarist friend even played a nice long version of Randy Rhoads' "Dee" during the ceremony. It could not have been any better. Our "first dance" was "Thank You" off of Led Zeppelin II.
smooches,

JS Clone 1, very good point indeed. I have been playing by ear for almost 17 years.....literally. I have been deaf in one ear since I was a baby, ear infections...etc....I was always on medication for my poor ears. Anyhow, I beat the odds and learned the guitar, I have never taken a single lesson in all this time (ok, I had ONE lesson when I was 16). As far as CRATS, I learned the song up to the solo in about ten minutes just by listening to it. I really only wanted the tabs to pick up those one or two notes in the solo that I would definately miss. Besides, after watching your video clips, I want to be just like you ;)
On behalf of T. Lightnin', please make the Medina, MN show an "ALL AGES" show. Lightnin', if you can get a fake ID, get one....I don't think a "no-show" by the band or the fans would make a difference to the venue, they would just hire a polka band to fill in...lol....where else but the Medina Entertainment Center can you go see a Satch show, and then go bowling after it's over....LMAO....oh yeah, if you win backstage passes, you better hope you get an ID, or I 'm going to have to ask you to hand them over to me....heh heh
Yesterday, I downloaded that PowerTab editor, today I tried to download some tabs and it said my media player does not support this file type. What does downloading tabs have to do with my media player? Nothing as far as know....what the #@!K?????

is it true that guitars live longer if you keep em in a case when you don't use them?

another questions: what's it mean when my guitar can't keep in tune after i play a song? does that mean it's time for new strings?

Invigor - Well, it's always safest in the case but that doesn't mean it's not safe laying on your bed (seeing that the headstock isn't supporting the whole guitar). Case when not using for long periods of time.
As for your strat not staying in tune, did you try that thing I told you? Looking for the adjustment on the machine head, tuning knobs?
If it's the strings, they'd either have to be really new strings, really really old strings, or had always been tuned down a half step lower than you're tuned now.

Kinger - You should get all of the ones I listed. They instantly hook you.
Being a metal head, the vocals work just fine for me. I had to get used to them at first because they were the first band I ever got into that had Death Metal-ish vocals. It's not actually death metal. It's what is called "Gothenburg" or "Swedish Sound". Swedish metal.
I can understand though how you feel about the arrangements being ruined by the vocals. I was exactly the same way but I got very used to them somehow.
DaveMC - Oh, that's really good then. Like me, phhhbt, i'm nothing.
Phy3 - Ah, congrats.

Oh, one more In Flames instrumental. An alright song but my least fave of their instrumentals.
Dang, lucky people who get a second show. It's "An Evening with Joe Satriani" show too. Screw DT and KX, an Evening with Show woulda rocked so much more.

My beautiful wife and I saw you recently in Michigan at the DTE energy music theater. What can I say, flawless performance as always. After seeing your virtuosity, my wife now wants to learn guitar. You are an inspiration to us all. Can't wait until you come back to Illinois!!!!!!
