For Adun - Damn.. heh, Australia man. Lotsa fans down there. Congrats on 150. Pre-emptive congrats on 151.
Ya Yo - The viper is crazy. Having 10 cyl., it's still more powerful than some V12's. Wow.
That's absoutely insane. I'm blow away by cutting cyls off 2 V8 blocks and putting them together.
Kinger - The singing on the new album is the best i've heard from Anders. Anything from the Reroute to Remain album. It's barely a few months old.
Check out Food for the Gods, Suburban Me or Only for the Weak. These are my fave In Flames tunes as of late.
r6rocker - Ah, yeah I have several ideas piling up in my head with lack of exposure to an instrument. They are good ones I think. Jazz - Many many chords and intricate progressions. Chromatic basslines. Improvisation. Country - Like blues but always Major/Mixo scale.
Clarky - Uh, dissonant? Sus chords aren't necessarily dissonant. A harsh, disagreeable sound... like a flat second interval?
Doesn't Suspended also mean when a triad is played but the third is replaced by either a 2nd or 4th? Sus2, Sus4?
Dyer - Ohh. See that's why In hate to and never will travel.
Mr. Nick - Lamborghini doesn't have much that's terribly new.

JS1,
If I may jump in here, I BELIEVE that the dissonance Clarky is referring to is inter-chordal dissonance (I'm sure that's not the right term...) i.e., the third of a V7 chord to a I chord, the B in a G or G7 changing to the I of the I, that sort of thing... and since we have a Isus4 chord, the 4 is dissonant with the upcoming third... Not to define dissonance for you, it's obvious you know what it is, I'm just trying to help out...

Hi, Joe! I've got a weird request: as a self-taught guitarist (no virtuoso for I have a weak and aching finger), I'm a huge admirer of yours. For the last few days, I've been having great fun playing my new Ibanez JS100 (by the way, I had to sell my old Gibson Les Paul and my Squier Telecaster to buy it, but have no regrets cos' it stands bloody well for both and even far more). Anyway, today I managed to record a song of my own (sort of musical cubism at the level I can reach) which I'd like to dedicate to you, just to thank you for all that magic you offer us throughout your CDs, and of course also for having had the wonderful-sounding JS Series instruments designed by Ibanez (mine doesn't even have DiMarzio's and though sounds like hell). So here comes the request: is there a way to send you the MP3 file (4.620 kilobytes for 4 minutes 55), for the fan to offer the Master the only affordable and all the more humble present he has to offer? Thanx a lot, and looking forward to seeing you back in Paris (where I live just now) or - why not? - one day in my home-town Budapest. ;-) Zanymus

Get a loaf, I don't like the frontier's too much. they look like they are snap on trucks. I just am a tacoma fan, not to much else to say. some people like different things. the s-runner I want is just something different too. alot of people are talking about super cars around here. but the truck I want is actually within reach it just has zero advertising for it.S Runner MegaBoyd

Stu Clone - I dunno man. I recently started structuring little improvised songs using that kind of theory, or just forgetting about stupid theory and just coming up with something.
For instance, I would use a Emin, simple enough and switch to a D9, which is D with an E on top. That would be a form of suspension, but I don't get the dissonance. I don't think it's important to know anyways. Write what sounds good. Sometimes, thinking too much in terms of theory takes away a lot of creativity. It used to for me until I realized what I lost once I learned lots of theory.

Hello! Joe
My name is Pablo Alpuín, I'm 21 years old, I'm from URUGUAY and I speak a little English.
I'm a guitarrist and I like practising yours techniques and sounds. Although I have a small equipment (I use cort guitar, Laney amp and mutiefects Zoom pedal). My favorite song is Love Thing because this is composed with an exceptional armony.
I would like to know about your equipment (pedals, efects, amps, guitars, etc.) and more about yours techniques.
Keep in touch. I'm waiting anxiously your answer.
Congratulation for your work as a musician.
Thanks! Greetings Pablo Alpuín

Hey, Joe. Thanks, first of all for the music through the years. I remember the first time I heard your music, was working in a shop repairing stereos, watching surfing championships on espn. That was 1980. (surfing with the alien) Yeah, that one hooked me. Will be in Portland, with my sweetheart, she likes you too. Would like to bring my JS for you to autograph for me. Well? I'll buy you lunch!!! thanks again, even if ya say no. Regards, Dan....(Dangerousdan the cable man) ...dangerous1@cablerocket.com

Hey njbeast, sorry to hear you didn't get to go to amsterdam...but to be honest, i think you were kinda lucky.....was this HUGE storm here, roof of central train station collapsing, travellers being rescued and put in some kind of shelter for stranded travellers, plane-trips being cancelled, trees falling over, lots of things happened here....so maybe you were just a bit lucky to stay overthere...well.....you must have had quite a storm as well....nice party hey ????
maybe better luck next time...
