Clarky - Original Floyds eh? I guess they whammy alright but they have thin bassplates though. That's why I like the Edge trems so much. Thick slabs of metal. String breakage, agh, stupid Edge.

Better Sustain than a Les Paul? I don't think that's possible with a floating bridge vs. HUGE body with fixed bridge and mohog/maple. What kinda Les Paul you have to compare to?

DragonChild: yeah I meant pool.

Fussball (pronounced foos ball) is German for football. The table game is named after it.

You know how some people can blow smoke-rings? Does that mean they go to the toilet to "snap off a cheezel"?!

Eddie Van Halen hahaha good one DCK!

Ethn: Joe Satriani, also good one!

Did anyone get anything other than Krusty or Disco Stu?

Mr Nick: that link wasn't set up properly.

Whoever was looking for the link: just click on MrNicks n post total and go back to find it. Simple.

Clarky: (not sure if this was asked before...but) According to the X7 chord theory, it should be X major with a 7th added. (In major key, this is a semitone below root, yes?) Why then, does the D7 chord have a C instead of a C#, and E7 have D instead of D# etc.?

I've found a book with DM7 (presumably meaning D major 7) displaying the D,F#,A,C# which was expected for D7. What is the friggin deal? And then D9 has a C instead of C# but it has the correct E note. I'm annoyed all these years I've been playing D7 (all the sevens actually) with a note not in the damn key.

Supposed to be studying for exams but my mind is screaming out on this injustice that is not consistent with theory.

Ya Yo Gakk - I actually got that link from an Aerosmith mailing list that I'm on. They have put thousands (millions?) of Aerosmith fans through so much crap over the past few years. I've heard so many horror stories...it's insane. I can't stand Clear Channel.

Everyone needs to do what I did tonight & bust out The Director's Cut by Fantômas and put on take 09... SPIDER BABY!
PERFECT
for All Hallow's Eve!

Screams and moans and bats and bones
Teenage monsters in haunted homes
The ghosts on the stair
The vampires bite
Better beware, there's a full moon tonight
Cannibal spiders creep and crawl
Boys and ghouls having a ball
Frankenstein, Dracula and even the Mummy
Are sure to end up in someone's tummy
Take a fresh rodent, some toadstools and weeds
And an old owl and the young one she breeds
Mix in seven legs of an eight-legged beast
Then you're all set for a cannibal feast.
Sit around the fire with the cup of brew
A fiend and a werewolf on each side of you
This cannibal orgy is strange to behold
And the maddest story ever told.

smooches,
» Phy³ . . .

What is the deal with Hallowe'en?

The word means hallowed (holy) evening. How holy is vampires and witches and evil stuff? It's supposed to be the night before All Saints Day, but who's heard of that? It's like Christmas Day being unknown whilst Christmas Eve becomes some weird holiday about the birth of Satan. How far from the original can you get?!?!

These Romans are crazy.

Phydeaux3 - That's a cool pumpkin. Happy Halloween...

melzie - The Ultimate Sin is a great album. That's one of mine that I just don't listen to enough. I need to get it out again.
JS Clone 1 - Clear Channel is basically a big monopoly in the entertainment business. They are a concert promoter and they own SFX, which is a company that owns radio stations and concert venues. So the CC radio stations focus on playing songs from bands that are promoted by CC promoters. And the CC promoters design concert tours where artists only play in CC venues all across the country. So they're trying to own everything. If an artist chooses not to use CC venues they at the same time are choosing not to use CC promoters. So the CC radio stations don't play their music...instead, the radio stations choose to play music from bands who are using CC promoters and venues, so they can make the most money. Clear Channel is the reason why American radio has been watered down over the past few years (ever since the 1996 Telecommunications Act). They're also the reason why concert ticket prices are higher.

hey all,

i think it stinks that Clear Channel can have that kind of influence over the record industry... the fans should not be made to suffer because of their age... i'm happy now that i live here in europe... we have less of that kind if shit...

austin : yeah, i have played super collapse... the wife and i downloaded the demo about two weeks ago... excellent, tense game... we're playing one called Pocket Tanks at the moment... its kinda like Worms on the playstation, but its tanks, and you're limited to 10 shots each... most points win... good stuff...

way to go Ya-Yo!!

cheers...

Joe, were you (or any fans reading this) aware that there has been a TRIBUTE ALBUM made to JOE SATRIANI and STEVE VAI?

It is called 'LORDS OF KARMA' and features 5 Satch songs and 5 of Steve's by different artists.

Deserved recognition!

I didn't see it advertised on your website. Are people in general aware of it I wonder?
