Oh, does anyone like my new composition's title?

Neoclassical Variations on a Theme by Johann Sebastian Bach for Electric Bass Guitar Quartet.

Maybe I should make it a touch snappier.

Yesterday we watched "The Odd Couple". I LOVE that movie! Has anyone ever seen Romy and Michele's High School Reunion with Lusa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino?

Naty - I had an album of Poe poems sometime in the 70's. I have no recollection of the band who created it. Until you mentioned it, I forgot it even existed. I let go of my album collection years ago. Who? Do tell.

Hi Joe. Hope you're having some fun. Work keeps me very busy. That thought of not working for a year, real good idea. Best to you and your loved ones. Enjoy.

Twig - thanks for the dance.

Peace all , Linda xo

The Local Person, I did'nt figure anyone would know her personally, I don't know anyone famous in hollywood. I just thought it was funny that my son has a crush on her ;)

Austin & Michelle, these days 12 beers is my absolute limit, and I'm totally useless at that point except for smiling and trying (unsuccessfully) to hold a conversation....lol

Wow, I made it to 200 posts...thank you, thank you....please, no need for applause....heh heh!

Joe you RULE

I'm 14 years old and I've got all of your albums. I saw you in Birmingham on the Strange Beutiful Tour and then in San Diego a couple of weeks after. I just wanted to say that you are the best guitarist in the world EVER.

My band did a school concert yesterday and we did a cover of Surfing with the Alien. Everyone loved it, and I've been offered a gig at my local town hall.

Thank you for your music, and please come back to England again soon.

See ya later

Sil - changing key from Bb to it's dominant key would be a move to the key of F....

Eb is the 'sub-dominant' of Bb..

Local Person - as you may realise, it's not the idea of a 'supreme entity' that I take issue with, it is the idea of organised religion..

My take is that I don't need a priest / vicar / pope etc to stand between me and God.. All they do is dilute the absolute meaning or worse, bend the true meaning to suit thier own purposes.... 2000 years of history proves this decade after decade...

You are right about me knowing Avarice / VBIL... We are pretty good e-buddies and have spoken in depth about a great many things... despite the distance that separates us, I found that we have a very similar background and similar views on many things - which is why we hit it off... I think that is were you see the similarity - maybe VBIL and I will get to meet some day, talk crap, drink too much and get into a world of trouble...... lol...lol

michelle - thanx for checking out my music ... I'm glad you enjoy it.... thanx....
damien - that's the spirit.... go for it... lol
ethn - Avarice, the voice of reason???? lol lol you're treading on thin ice thinking like that..... lol lol lol

Hi everyone. I was looking for some JS stuff on Ebay and I wanted to let everyone know that there are a few copies of Additional Creations and Reel Satriani there... So you have a chance now if you don't have these things already.

PhrygianDominant - I don't know if the girl from one of the Friday The 13th films is in Drop Dead Fred, because I haven't seen any of them. That's horrible, I know. Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) from Star Wars is in Drop Dead Fred, though.

McDave - Happy 200!

Hi my Name is Bruce ,I met you in Orlando at a music store before a show you gave at the house of Blues.I appreciate you being so approachable. My question is when your writing a song what is your approach.Jam and find the magic in a song ,or is it an ideal that you start with and define as you go along?I also notice that most guitar players play scales along with some riffs.Your style is very clean and excating.I guess the real quesion is how do you let go and play up to your abilties and yet still maintaine such a beautiful sound and still produce music not just notes? Thanks for producing such beautiful music ,I consider you to be the best .Good luck Bruce BKROCKSU

Hi Joe, saw you at the Holmdel,NJ Arts Center in Oct. and you had everybody ROCKIN'. Though you only played for a short time, since you opened for Dream Thearte. Was under the impression that it was the other way around. Joe, I have seen you so many times in so many venues since 1992 and I have so many photos with you & the band. My best one is from 1994 sittin on Jonathan Movers Harley outside of Roseland,NYC. Joe, I just want to tell you that everytime I see you I cannot put down in words how good I feel inside and how your music effects me. You are truly a great person who treats his fans with respect and I also mean that to all the band members that I seen with you over the years & down to your crew. I seen other muscians who treat there fans like they are nothing and there egos are unreal. To me you are the ultimate & I will never forget your kindness towards others. I am counting the days when I see you again on Dec.13 at Town Hall in NYC, Joe you are the best and keep on rocking and I would love to hear you play Morracan Sunset. That tune blows me away and it holds a very special meaning for me as a few others you are the Best and no one could ever come close to you in the Musical field. Thank You Joe for all that you have given to me through the years

My favourite part of dumb and Dumber was at the start when he goes: "Oh Austria! Well then, G'day mate! Let's put another shrimp on the barbie!"

Incidentally no-one puts shrimps on the barbie in Australia. Prawns however...I've never tried.

Crippler: (re Time Machine) yep. That's exactly it. However I did like the CD even though it's obviously 2nd rate Satch.

Austin: back in the days I loved Drop Dead Fred...then a while later I watched it again and realised how crap it was. Funny, but really poor.

Time Machine!!! But make sure the drums sound like how Jeff plays Satch Boogie in the finger tapping bit (slower of course). That's what makes the song I reckon. (Okay so I'm biased...)

Now my turn to sound like a barnyard animal: what about the movie "Young Einstein" with Yahoo Serious? That was hilarious. Especially the bit where he comes in the window at Marie Curie's house and her dad says:

"who is zis barbarian?" in a French accent.

"I'm from Tasmania!" in the worst Australian accent ever.

Heh heh. Makes me proud to be Tasmanian, even though he was actually extracting the urine out of us...

later, BEN...oink oink oink
