my nick - Jimi without the letter W spells..... JIMI... lol
I'm quite good at letters... it's numbers I struggle with
r6r - Electric Sun... now that's a name I've not heard for quite some years.... quite Hendrixy if I recall correctly....
the new custom 7 is pretty good news.... I found out two days ago that the neck is done and the new fingerboard is top grade ebony.... and as the original luthier screwed the paint on the body, it is going to Darren the famous custom paint dude that does the swirl finishes next week [although my guitar will be plain black - but I'd expect it to look as though it's been dipped in glass].. Darren is also going to sign the neck pocket...
A long time ago, VBIL and I was talking about naming guitars... just as Vai has Flo, Evo etc... and he talked me into naming my guitars after the seven deadly sins.....
My black RG [formerly known as Green Knobs and Ham] is now called Wrath, the Strat is Pride, the jewel blue RG is Lust, the RG7470 is Envy and the Washburn D21 is Sloth... I'm reserving Gluttony for the most expensive and over the top guitar that I'm going to get built in a few years time...
this means that my custom Universe [at VBIL's insistance...lol] will be called Avarice... So I've asked the cusom folks to write that on the head stock.... cool or what...

Choco - Cozy Powell died in a car crash on the evening of Sunday 5th April 1998 in has Saab 9000 between junctions 18 and 19 of the M4 motorway [close to Bristol]. Poor weather was a contributing factor to the accident. He was buried on the 18th [a small private family affair]....
His style of drumming, especially his use of the double kick drums influenced heavy metal drumming to an enormous degree [and is something to which he is rarely credited]...
The world of rock music is a lesser place without him in it
but on the other hand, a better place due to his massive contribution..

SILMARIEN - Sounds like we have the same shopping program (except the cosmetics) - rofl !
CLARKY - You do recall correctly, the first two Electric Sun albums were Earthquake and Firewind and they both had cover artwork by Monica Danneman, who was an ex-girlfriend of Jimi. The sound varied from Hendrix to classical, an early showing of the passion he has now days. The third album (and i think the last?) was Beyond the Astral Skies, that album was a lot more produced, and featured more vocal choir type useage. UJR is a great player and has great feel, i personally find that his vocals are part of the whole sound, but he probably falls into the Jimi, Mark Knopfler niche, muso's doing there own thing. When i saw him tour BTAS in '86 he had Nicky Moore as one of the vocalists, impress me and tell me which NWOBHM band he also sang for, i'll give you a clue - Bruce Dickinson. Around the mid eighties UJR dropped out of the music industry because he didn't like the hype / manufactured way it was going - good on him, but i'm sure glad he came back again.
LMFAO about the guitar name, very cool though, even without the T2J connection. So when does S Club Clarky hit the road then ? ROFL
