Yeah,I still don't think Joe is even CAPABLE of putting out a bad album.I just personally think EOC raised the expectations so much.I can't stress how brilliant I think that album is.It is just genius. So,what Im saying is,he would really have to do something earth-shaking to top that one.Maybe that's why I'm a little Disappointed with SBM.SBM IS a great album,I did not intend to say otherwise.
THANK YOU JOE!!!!!!!for putting Time Machine in the setlist.
We love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we're going to talk drummers here, let's bring Peart into the picture. Could you IMAGINE what kind of things he and Joe could do together.......... WOW!
Crushing Day is my vote for today.

drummers - I think that a great drummer makes a massive difference to a band...... makes an 'ok' band sound very good and a great band sound awesome....
Neil Peart, Billy Cobham, Dave Wekel, Steve Gadd, Ian Paice, Omar Hakim, Simon Phillips, Alan White, Bill Bruford, Rick Van Der Linden, the Dream Theatre guy [who's name escapes me right now...lol]...

Hey Joe! ...."where you goin' with that gun in your hand" sorry,anyway...
Just got back from my 'guitar demo evening' where I played some great tunes! (Surfin',flyin',summer song, circles) I did loads of practice, was all confident and then on the night I HELLA SUCKED!! So i'm really depressed right now and in need of some 'words of wisdom' to get me playing again (I really did suck!!)

In the percussion department, I have only two words: Neil Peart. That guy is such a badass. He's constantly changing his technique and style and always comes out on top. Damn, I'm making him sound like the Madonna of drums. He's always my top choice for any incarnation of a "dream band" (any musicians you want, living or dead jamming together). Whereas the other musicians vary on the mood I'm in. Like right now I'm thinkin' Peart, Satch, Jeff Beck, Louie Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and probably Geddy Lee. Now that would be a cool band. OK, I've wasted enough space, Happy Turkey Eve. Tru.

Hey, Joe! Happy Thanksgiving! Just wanted to say I'm lounging around watching Live in SF and I have a request to make for the Dec. 11 show in NYC...PLEASE play Time. I'm looking forward to lots of different stuff too, but that song SO rules! Well...don't they all actually. I also REALLY HAVE to see you play The Forgotten Part II live one of these fine days! In fact, even though I submitted my set list, I'm not happy having to omit so many awesome songs-what do you mean you can't play a 6 hour show, Joe?? I'm just kiddin'! I think they should have a Joe balloon in the Macy's parade with Crystal Planet stuff piping over. That would be cooool. You're incredible and would definitely be worthy of such an honor! Keep thrillin' us, Joe!

PhryDom, those chords are coming from the Supernova keyboard. I didn't want them to sound too close to the tembre of the clean melody guitar, so I asked Eric to perform the rhythm on the keyboard. It gave the track more space...Joe...
