JOE - Hopefully you're settling back home to enjoy some well deserved rest after roughly three weeks straight on the road. So how did the shows go? Just curious.

Speaking of curious... How do your hands hold up after a long run like that? Do your tips ever start to get sore at all? Are there any special rituals you adhere to when it comes to your hands and taking care of them on the road? As I'm sure you've answered this question a thousands times before, I thought I would toss it out there.

Well, I'm not sure if you saw my "plea" of sorts regarding your San Diego show Feb. 5th at 4th & B, so I thought I would quote it here for ya.

as posted last week by RDG...

Man, seeing that you're coming to sunny San Diego Feb. 5th to play at 4th & B completely made my day!

JOE SATRIANI @ 4th & B w/ special guests RDG??

I would give anything short of my first born son to be blessed with the honor of opening for you at 4th & B (if in fact you would like an opening act in the first place). There isn't another band in San Diego more suited and primed for the job than RDG, so if you would like an opener, why not give this up and coming "undiscovered" instrumentalist a shot. Back in May we opened for Gary Hoey when he came through San Diego, so to open for you would be the next logical step up.

Anyway, I'll leave it at. I couldn't pass up posting this up here with the slightest hope that you'll read it. If you do, and you'd like an opener, put a word in with Steve Kader at 4th & B, requesting local instrumentalist Raymond DiGiorgio and his band RDG. Not only will I get the crowd pumped and ready for you, but I'll even through in a little home-made Italian catering, cooked up by yours truly. Baked mostaccioli with meatballs and sausage anyone????

Well there you have it. Take care and have a WONDERFUL Christmas Joe!!

Ray - RDG

Joe, Jeff, Galen, Ned and the entire Satch crew:

I simply do not have the words to tell you all how utterly fantastic it was meeting you and hanging with you in NYC last night. Never in my wildest fantasies could I have imagined a scenario where you would all end up in MY HANGOUT, at MY "HOUSE". I hope you all had as much fun as I did.

Joe, I apologize if I sounded like a blithering idiot, but hopefully you understand what an indescribable honor it was to finally meet you, shake your hand and spend some time with you. I wish you, Rubina, ZZ and your entire family the very best wishes this holiday season.

Jeff, PLEASE MAKE SURE you email when when you can. I am very much looking forward to getting that Town Hall bootleg to you as well as the audio from the SBM Webcast. Please, please stay in touch!

Mike Manning you are a prince! Good luck in Florida on your search....

To all of you, thanks so much for everything, including the picks!

You have all brought X-Mas to me early this year.

Warmest wishes and Happy New Year! - henry

Thank You, Joe for such a beatiful time at Town Hall,NYC last night. All of you were outrageous as usual and the set-list was excellent. I thank you again for the songs for my brother, especially "TIME MACHINE'. I know he was rocking upstairs and looking down on all of you and saying JOE & THE GUYS RULE, as he always did. We will miss you until the next time around, but maybe we will surprise you in your neck of the woods. It was great to see your mom again and all who were there, it was the best yet. Once again thank you for the great night and what could we say to you all, but it gets better & better. Will be posting some of those great photos on the board they are awesome. See you all soon & keep blowing them away with those tunes.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL!!!!!!! BlueJam

Someone messed up the voting. Until We Say Goodbye is up against Saying Goodbye, not Thinking Of You. I vote for UWSG but I don't know what the score is because people confused me. ;-)

drafter37 - That sounds cool. I don't really have a Satriani "shrine" set up anywhere. I have a few autographed CDs in my CD tower and a guitar pic with some photos in a drawer. That's all...LOL.

Mr Nick - The songs on Joe's first EP are Talk To Me, Banana Mango, Dreaming #11, I Am Become Death, and Saying Goodbye. The last four appear on Time Machine. Talk To Me couldn't be included because there were problems with the master tapes for the song. You can find it on most filesharing programs, though.

To all those who answered (and even those who made a joke about it), no I have not signed a lease and do not intend to, because I will be moving out as soon as I find another place. This guy is nothing more than a "Scrooge" (thanks Sinnetor), and a miserable old prick.

Michelle, I tried to explain to him that I take my kids every chance I get, and that if I had plans I cancel them so I can take them. His response was "Thats your problem". I was at a loss for words. I never imagined anyone could be so heartless.

On a happier note, my song of the day was "Have a Cigar" by Pink Floyd.

Joe:

I occasionally read Guitar Shop magazine and they sometimes post different guitar "heroes" studio and/or live setups as far as amps, pedals/effects, etc. Have you ever posted anything like that in their magazine or any other magazine? I love your music and thanks for signing all of my CD's of yours that I own (all of them, of course) at the last G3 show here at the Bass Performance hall in Ft. Worth TX. Are their any plans for a future G3 tour?

Thanks!
