Hey all ! I picked up a PS2 for my son today, man that hurt my wallet :0 If I pick up LISF on DVD, is the PS2 going to play it? I thought it might since it is a Sony product. Just wondering....
Also, does anyone have any good ideas on what games would be fun for Dad (me)...I like RPG's.

Hi everyone, I've been welcomed by a lot to read...

Just wondering, has anyone seen the movie "Ghosts of Mars"? Crap movie. Watched it by chance. Found out a few weeks later Steve Vai had played on it. Whoops. Probably during the fight scenes when the metal strumming stuff came on. A bit like some of PCU off Elusive L&S vol 1.

Oh yeah, if voting is still open for the death match I vote Hill of the Skull it's the most 80s sounding song ever but I love it. (Took me a long time to like it but)
Whatever the score is. Lost track a long time ago. I think "I Am Become All Your Base" is in front still.

McDave - The PS2 plays all kinds of DVDs. I've never had a problem with it refusing to play something. I've watched parts of LISF in my PS2 several times and it works great. Just make sure that you have the PS2 hooked up correctly so you can get stereo sound. The PS2 at my house shares a television with a VCR and a few other video game systems...so I don't get stereo sound through it. I need to rewire everything, but I'm lazy. ;-)
As far as games to recommend, I'm not a huge RPG fan so I can't help you out there. I play a lot of sports games...the NFL Blitz games are always fun, and so is the FIFA 2002 World Cup game. I think there are a few soccer games out there, though, so if you buy it make sure it's the officially licensed one.
Have you played any of the Grand Theft Auto games? Get GTA 3 or GTA Vice City. They're very violent (and they most definately aren't suitable for your kids), but they are A LOT of fun. I find that GTA 3 is a great way to release my anger if I'm mad about something...LOL.

Invigor good idea, I would l do something, but my utter lack of good recording equipment holds me away...after Christmas I will have enuff moolah for something nice, but then it would be kinda late for a merry axemas woudln't it lol. good luck everyone involved!

Got tickets to the Jan 29 show in Reno. Have been a fan for about 15 years after being introduced to "Surfing With the Alien" by a high school buddy. Passed on "Surfing" to my brother who now is a HUGE fan, but he's never been in a location where he could catch a show. Right now he's serving our country as an Army officer in Kuwait--a 6-month assignment at a minimum. Was wondering if there was any way possible to get something autographed at the Jan 29 show that I could send to him--just one way for me to let him know his selfless service is appreciated. Thanks for any consideration.

/\/\ike I was thinking of playing it straight, then doing some kind of jam afterwards, based on the original melody, and I've got some pretty good ideas about re-harmonising it to spice it up a little ;-) I just hope r6r and me can work by snail mail!

Thanks It is Stu not boo for answering my question. Hey McDave if you wanted some cheap RPG's that are really fun check out the final fantasy games...VII is my favorite. A good Ps2 games is Kingdom hearts. Who is going to see the Lord of the Rings tonight? I am and I'm super happy, but I got tickets at a sucky theatre. Are some of you guys making a cd together? If so where can I buy one when it's done? Later
