Hello JS fanatics,

Read a lot of posted messages. Nothing new, actually. But after a long period of doing nothing on this site, I post a message again. All you, So Called, JS Fans should have voted for Joe. There's a gap for almost 1000 votes between number one and number two (guitarists). So..........VOTE FOR JOE. He deserves it. Just goto www.gitaristen.pagina.nl. Then goto the right side of that page and click on the item "Top 20 gitaristen". Then you enter a page where you can choose Joe Satriani. Click on the button left of Joe's name. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the button which is named "stem". Now your vote is counted. The results will be shown in a colourfull schedual.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Major Tom (back again)

Ground control to Major Tom, Can you hear me? Sorry, but I just had to vote for Steve Vai. It was a close call, though. Who was that Jan Akkerman guy they had at the top, though?

h302....since it's a dutch voting site, well....jan akkerman is a dutch old geezer, somewhere in the 70's he was announced best guitar player of the world..... ok, he's a reall nice player, but he's soooo arrogant, and come on.....every local shredder can jam with him anytime...he's a jazzy bluesy player, and i even have some old cassette-tapes lying around.....but there are some players here on this site that are young, but top jan akkerman by miles.......if i had to choose between jan akkerman and for example Peter Mulas....come on.....jan akkerman ??? who's that.... come to think of it, i think i am going to try and get peter mulas in that voting list....let's whoop jan akkerman out of first place......

Narface, do yourself a favor and start stashing money in a Satch Fund. Stash some money in a hiding place and just keep adding to it whenever you can. That way you'll be able to get tickets for his concert and/or clinic as soon as they go on sale without being caught short on cash and having it sold out before you get there. It works every time :)

Joe, I saw you at the Vic in Chicago and thought the setlist was pretty much perfect. I don't know of any other artists that vary their set as much as you do, probably because they don't have enough good stuff. There's lots more I'd like to hear, but it would take a lot longer than you could probably endure in a single concert. I do hope to hear more SBF in future concerts, especially Belly Dancer and Chords of Life.

I would however love to see you with Vinnie Moore in G3. Is there anyone else on the site that would be in favor of this? Remember, Joe added Time Machine due to requests.

Happy New Year - Jack

What do you think about opening up G3? instead of just three kickass guitarist, do a big summerfestival thing with ten or so guitar virtuoasos. Kinda like Ozzfest and Lollapalooza. I hear guys like Zakk Wylde and Dimebag Darryl are interested in doing a G3 type thing.

Hi,

Will you add some lessons of guitar playing in this site ? Or some advice to help us discover some news things to try with a guitar ? (Like Steve Vai's site)

Thanks

Joe: So who's up for G3? You, Steve Vai & ??? Maybe Paul Gilbert would be nice! How about Steve Morse? Or Jeff Beck! If possible, try and find Eddie Van Halen!!!

Kevin-hehe,yeah man,you were the first person I Tried to call when I got back, but the battery on my phone died for some weird reason. I was gone for a week, and the battery was dead,lol...strange.

I got a new phone yesterday,so Ill call ya later on

I want petrucci back for G3,if Morse is still unavailable.
Btw,to whomever mentioned it: Satch's original idea was to do a festival type thing, like lollapalooza(Shredapalooza?lol)

I'd love to see it,but I kinda like the smaller venues better than the big outdoor arenas.Better sound,I think.(I might be wrong,I havent been to that many big shows, but the sound was always terrible)

Since you just played Portland Or in November we probably won't see you for awhile, for a few different tunes. Your My World, Home, Ride, Look My Way, your version of Little Wing(that would just kick butt) one or two vocals wouldn't hurt the flow of you gig. Best wishes to you and the band on the new year. Eyo satch fans. Happy new year. Snowboarding rocks, since i live in england there's no snow but there's the snowdome which is like this huge building (not the millenium dome) where you can go ski indoors on real snow. How cool is that? As far as setlists are concerned, stick "A day at the beach" in cos it rules, tis the best of the tapping songs in my opinion. Also anything from Crystal planet. Was quite sad, i brought some satch CDs to a party and Strange Beautiful Music and Surfing with the Alien went missing. But i suppose on the upside people like Satch. My friends for some reason have started calling me "Satchsuma". Should i worry?
