Joe: Great Show at the vic, I was right in front of you..did you se me?
Pete Mulas: great version of UNTIL WE SAY GOODBYE, I have to say that you understand the textures of a song musically and melodically. UWSG is a very difficult song to emulate, and you did a good job on it ..Congrats dude
Michelle: your story is inspiring in all aspects of human ethics.
we do not know how to appreciate one another, sometimes God will give a us a little shakin' so that we could mend our lives, I do NOT believe that God punishes us when we do wrong, nahh that's not his 'style', He squeezes us, but He does not choke us. I hope that our brother Dan recovers his health that he use to have. My prayers go to his family
God bless all of you

Well, I finally got around to putting four more songs up at my iuma page so if you guys get bored give 'em a listen and let me know what you think. The featured songs there are a little mixed up and have some old and some new but the four on album 2 are all new.
Gear tech question: Any suggestions for setting a guitar up for long term storage?

stu not boo..i watched the dvd last night..its a 2 sided dvd which is very cool.
vibrato debate thingy........i like Vai's vibrato..he mixes the classical vibrato which makes it go flat and the normal vibrato which everyone elses uses which makes the note go sharp...he mixes the 2, its very clevery done and something i've yet to master.
McDave...you didn'tmention a d'addardio strap or di arzio strap in the first place. you mentioned an ibanez one and a planet waves.

Matt King - I'm 16.
That ds-1 must do a lot on the tone..? I actually remember that "satch3d"-site on IUMA where you had put some satriani covers and your own songs. I listened to them and was quite amazed(especially when you said you could play Not Of This Earth as a 14-year old :). With that "reaching your level" thing I meant that I'm just a starter in writing my own music and recording and stuff. I've actually played for five years now, and I think it was last month I wrote my first real song for guitar.

Hey Joe, I was just wondering if you could tell me if you had any tour dates lined up in the uk for 2003? I have seen you in concert a few times including G3 and would love to come and see you perform again. I am near London but am at University in Sheffield so any part of the country won't be too far away!! Hope you are well. Merry Xmas and a happy new year,
Regards Phil.

ice9man...try different modes such as lydian, dorian, or minor scales..and all the other scales..try and think and play something that you would consider not right and see what happens. Dont play the same thing over and over again, that way you will become repeatitive, just experiment with new things. good luck :)

Ethn... I accept your apology, and offer mine too ;-) although I was kinda getting used to the idea of calling anything that isn't strict alternate "Andrew" ;-) I also have the Gambale video... good stuff, I must say, but it seems to me he embraced the technique a little too much - kinda like if EVH *only* tapped.... anyway personally I use the Gary Moore method - neck hand knows what it's doing, pick hand goes mad and hopefully they'll make a connection somewhere... works for him ;-)
Sharif too much great music has been made with MIDI - what problems are you having?
xmezdelca nice to see you can finally write some English, but that's all you've ever posted here.... do you think it's really going to happen? :-/
Hi cel... the ugly green/black/white one (which will soon be repainted) is solid mahogany... the other two home-made ones are (I think!) alder. I get them cheap from a great little music shop in Wembley, London. Let me know if you want any more info, and thanks for checking out the site! :-)
StuClone although both are good viewing, I'd go for Satch Tapes first.... Reel Satriani can get kinda boring, but there's some good insight on it all the same...
Nick Steve calls it 'circular' I think - yes a definite combination of "headstock to body and back" (like John Williams) and "ceiling to floor and back" (like most players)... he moves his fingers in circles between the frets... sounds kinda funky (and not George Clinton funky either LOL)
Hi Naty... sorry about your connection &-(... I hope your brother's PC is able to cope with so many T2J postings ;-) HNY to you too!!! xxx
OCPS470 dude it's 90MB! No way! Email me ;-)
Sorry for the long post guys... have family here from the good ole US of A (Ohio & Georgia).... man it's hard to get some time to myself.... I can see me losing what's left of my mind before long LOL... at least I'm close to London - surely there's a couple of weeks' worth of sites for them to see?!?! ROFL... hope you're all enjoying your holiday season... all the best, Dave
EDIT: various tiredness-induced mistakes ;-)
