When I was in High School I used to listen to Hank Marvin of The Shadows. He was the greatest guitar player! In this new age, I found that you are the geatest guitar player ever! In Strange Beautiful Music you played "Sleep Walk" which reminds me of the Marvin's Era. Joe you're the greatest, not because my name is also Joe........

i think i figured it out...since I haven't ever seen joe in the flesh i find it hard to believe he actually exists, he's just this super nova that keeps making beautiful music but is like...what's the word...untouchable to me...that's it...anyways
HEY JOE, i think you should come out with a jazzy album, something like lum lum, I enjoy that track very very much! sooo smooth sounding

Hello Joe. This is the first time I log in and Hope you be able to read this message. I am a panamanian fan and admirer of your musical virtuosity. I have all your studio cds but never had seen you on stage until I bought the Live in San Francisco DVD. Wao, what a concert, it blew my mind and senses, I envied the people in the Fillmore that night. Joe, is there any small possibilty to do some dates in Latin america, maybe Panama in the future. You have a great number of fans down here. We´ll love to see you live one day. Keep doing great music for the benefit of all your loyal fans. By the way, your site is cool and congratulatiosn to the webmaster. Joe, Have a happy New Year, as well as the all your fans around the world.

I would like to be the first to wish Jeff Campitelli a very happy birthday.
On a related topic, I can't believe it's been two years since the LISF show. Time flies...

Mr Nick<--------------
Hi ! Now you are gonna get the difrence between economy picking and sweeping:
first of all economy picking is kind of a mixture of alternate and sweep picking
If you played a major scale and used the economy picking it would have looked like this:
d=down u=up
d d d u d d u d d u d d u d u d
if u used the sweep picking here you wold have to use the hameron teqnic accending and pullof deccending so called legato playing. I don't know any better way to explain.
If you don't understand, ask somone else.

I am a big fan of the new album - the wah wah riff on "the traveller" is constantly in my head - as is the egyptian style riff in belly dancer. An awesome album. A colaboration between joe and hank marvin would be interesting!!!!! As an 18 year old guitarist whose been playing for 14 years, your music has breathed an air of inspiration into my playing - and Hank did actually play sleepwalk at his last live concert i went to (although his version was of a completly different genre). I believe that Hanks sound would greatly compliment the style of Joe. Any guitar enthusiasts wishing to add me to hotmail can do so (NILK17@HOTMAIL.COM)

I can play almost all of flying in a blue dream! I have learnt surfing with the alien and all of the songs on "The Extremist". Although a fan of surfing with the alien, Flying in a blue dream was the album that most inspired me. In the space of the last 12 months I have become an ardent JS Fan and in my home recording studio in Derbyshire England, have endevoured to record my own style of instrumental music. Many Thanks.
