Hey all,
Does anyone know who played the backround guitar last night at the American Music Awards??
Joe, can't wait to see you in Reno in a couple of weeks!!
What type of situations in life inspire your playing? Do you seem to go through ups and downs as a songwriter? R.D.

ok, what a mess, i have heard some songs from you just a few months ago the first time, and i'm really sad that i didn't see you last year in germany.
now i have nearly all of your albums because i love your music. some of my favourite songs: speed of light, ceremony, a train of angels, rasberry jam delta, time machine, and and and... there are about 2 dozen of other songs i really love.
never heard just great guitar playing AND sondwriting.
so i really hope to see you this year in germany. i think you have a lot of fans here in germany, and if you come to germany, i will be there.... :-)
keep on your good work...

Hey all, gotta new tune over at iuma that I spent entirely too much time on. All said and done there are eight different guitars (including bass) and two drums (one through a wah) and it took forever to get 'em mixed half way decent. No rip-roaring half assed solos on this one, just stacks of tracks. Anyway, it's called Kentucky Trash Masher, so go check it out and let me know what ya think.

Joe - I was reading through some of the online lessons at Guitarworld.com and I checked out some of yours. I was pretty interested on what you were saying about modes. Basically, my question is, how important do you think modes are in developing your guitar skills at, say an intermediate level? Like when I start improvising for something to do I am usually restricted to just using the Blues Scale. Do you think it's a good idea to get a good understanding of modes earlier on, or is that something that is best learnt later? Thanks..... mick

just found this mini-review of a short set my band did a while ago...
"the first band were '*deleted to protect the innocent*' who obviously missed the presence of their lead singer chloe, however they still had the musical talent that had seen them go down so well at re:verb previously."
Hehe, my singing voice doesn't come over well in that review... although it was more related to the fact I was trying to do a "jordan rudess" doing a thousand and one things at once... and the fact that i forgot that i wasn't playing a 5 string bass on one song... oh dear oh dear...

(Hey Joe, for your next album, can you make some more of that guitar/computor type thing? I am totally addicted to those sounds..When I was introduced to you I was showed EOC and I kept thinking 'This guy is AWESOME!!' And you know..those thoughts are true..) YOU STILL ROCK!!!
