JOE- I can agree with previous speaker that your sister is a really good painter, very beautiful oil paintings on her site. And she looks a lot like you, but prettier LOL All my best.

Edit: You beat me to a hundred, Anibur, but not by much! LOL

Joe,

I was wondering where i could get some tickets to your show in sacramento at the crest theater. Also, i stared playing guitar at 13 and i'm pretty good. I'm 16 right now and never took any classes. I'm always playing by ear. i was wondering what kind of classes i should take to play like you. You my favorite guitarist. thanks. I would appreciate if you could email me at harpman@quiknet.com, but its ok if your dont because i know your always busy.

Thanks, Your biggest fan

Hey Joe and all Joe's fans!!!

Migupais: yeah you're right! But it's easier to float/fly than go up and down all the time.

Leanna: "I'd freak out if I saw a shark...especially Jaws" heh heh I misread it as "Jews" I was thinking WTF?!?

Mark London: (DCK?) had a listen. Me like, me do.

Local Person: I often quote stuff from Flying Circus but only seem to get the right reaction when I say "something completely different" or "is this the room for an argument" nobody recognises "I love animals...that's why I like to kill 'em." or "eeerrhh! An hoop! Oh we are grahnd aren't we"

Son of Smithers: go back and read between your two posts, the questions you re-asked were all answered.

Anibur: I just looked at Carol's site...WOW!!! What a talented family! And the likeness! If you saw her down the street you'd think "hmm, I know that face..."

Happy hundreds, ladies!!!

BEN

PS that Alex vd Linde site is downloading slowly...I usually expect less than a minute to dl...still waiting...boogie was good...

No, I mean it! I thought "wow, she looks so familiar"

I find it so hard to believe that people can paint/draw with so much detail and make it look so real! Those oil paintings look almost like photos!

Until I find the damn CD, my favourite Vai track will continue to be the 1:14 snippet of "Frank" off the Ultra Zone. Can't get enough. I've never heard such a low sound for a ballad-y guitar instrumental.

Later all, gotta go to the stupidmarket so I can have a late brekky! No food in da house! Wow, weekend over already...

I hate when this happends!!! My band just cracked up due to personal fights between the drummer and the singer. Why can't they just stay together?

This is the second band I've been playing with who cracks up because of stuff like this. And it happends just when I thought that we were getting anywhere, after one year of hard work. I put down so much work and spirit on this band its driving me insane I have to start this band mate searching all over again.

Whats wrong with people, I just want to play!!!!!!

Cube - Yamaha Pacifica, this one particular model I played. Seymour Duncan pups. HSS combo. Humbucker in the rear. Geniune superb single coil tone with a HOT rear humbucking bite. I didn't even think about playing the guitar. It just seemed to fit my hands nicely. Wilkinson bridge, locking tuners at the headstock. Alder/maple cap body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard. Absolutely beautiful player. Regular $920 Canadian, but this one particular guitar was $575 because it had some scuffs on the back. I'm thinking of getting rid of my 7V and buying this Yamaha Pacifica.

The only thing about the guitar, hitting pinch harmonics, for some reason, the guitar just did not sound them. I never miss a pinch. I tried over and over and could barely get any to come out. Oh well, that's ok. I'm getting away from shred and distortion anyways.

7V, it's not a bad guitar but it's not a '$2000' guitar either. Looks like one but just does not sound like one. Floating bridges are just... yes or no. Nothing in between. You either use whammy huge or nothing. If you use whammy only a little bit, floating bridge can only hurt you. Multi string bending is made very difficult, sustain is lost, setup time is tripled and strings break more often.

Setlist ideas for Joe: Throw in some more stuff from the Joe Satriani album, Killer Be Bop would be cool! And maybe Trundrumbalind? And please put Time back in the setlist! :-) Laters Joe + Happy new year to all

Ovation, I only ever went to one game at the Vet. Eagles against the Redskins. Might have been '93 or '94? I wore a Redskins sweatshirt & maroon jeans (I usually root for whoever's playing against the Birds), but my husband was sporting an Eagles shirt. The fans weren't to nasty towards me, but I did get the occasional "Redskins suck" comment. The 'Skins were winning till the last 7 seconds of the game, then the Eagles got a TD. The stadium went CRAZY to say the least. The guy standing next to my husband was so excited he smacked my husband (in a congratulatory way) on his arm - or should I say - right on his day old tattoo. lmao!! I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his skull! To me, it was worth the loss. lmao! WHACK! It still brings a smile to my face after all these years :) LOL! Oh, and as for the turntables...maybe you should start with some bling, bling. How bout a gold toof?

JSC1-Oh yes. As a matter of fact, I just ate Moose Tracks. So there! I bet you don't have aliens in your dimension. I have Joe Satriani, so there! ;-D
GuitarPlayer16-I think I'm his biggest fan. He bought me, a 30'x30' box fan, at Home Depot. So I think I am his biggest fan. LOL:)
Regarding the Setlist:I think Not of this Earth would be a great addition to it. Also Power Cosmic 2000 Part 1, but it's probably too short, unless you added the part 2.

JSC1-My favorite painting already by Carol Satriani is the one on the contact page. She's very talented. I wonder how much the paintings are. I'd love to have one. She's also very pretty.
ON IMDB.com I typed in Joe Satriani and it said that that song "Speed of Light" off of Time Machine was in the movie "Super Mario Brothers". It doesn't come on a lot, but every now and then it comes on the Disney channel.
I went to see National Security. It was very funny although there were some very ditsy, annoying teenage girls behind us that kept on trying to get attention of the boys that were all around us by dropping their popcorn twice plus talking every now and then. What jerks. It's not singles night you know. Oh sorry, I just had to say all that. It "fumed" me. LOL

Finally ... after that fateful day back in early '89 when I first set eyes and ears on a "quiet" young man with nothing more than a chalk-white Ibanez in his hands and a love song in his heart that had the power to turn the tides, standing in the middle of a Californian desert, belting out the phrases that are "Always With Me, Always With You" ... Finally ... after that fateful day later in the same year when I received a gift certificate for my 14th birthday and walked into the store and tried to remember that name ... Joe S---omething ... um, he plays guitar, but doesn't sing, you know!? Yeah, that's it! Satriani! Thank you, sir! Then, frantically looking for the "Surfing" album only to discover it was sold out, and therefore "settled for" the "Flying In A Blue Dream" album instead ... 18 tracks, cool scribblings on the guitar ... how could I lose, right?! Needless to say, the title song itself, from the moment that the strange voices and feedback began to help the song take flight to the arpeggiated acoustic guitar that filled my head with awe, it changed my life, took my creativity and imagination to a new level and introduced me to playing the guitar and the handful of other great guitarists at the time, mainly Vai and Johnson ... Finally ... after memorizing every song and patiently waiting for the opportunity to see this man in concert ... my "Blue Dream" has come true ... a big thanks to you, Joe, for taking time to read this posting and for remaining the greatest guitar player in MY world ... I look forward to finally seeing you in concert in San Francisco on the 31st ... God bless you, Rubina and Z.Z. (I've already begun to introduce your magic to my wife and 5-month old son as well!!!)
