Oh man,Mummy 2 was like having a catheter inserted by Shaq with Tourettes syndrome. Not even enjoyable the first time.5th element is kick ass,but The Mummy 2 makes me want to punch a small child in the throat.

I think Brendan Frasier should be kicked in the daddy button with a steel toe for that crap.

Speak of the devil,my uncle is watching it now,and my intestines are rumbling,in a futile attempt to throttle the DVD player into a thousand pieces.Hitler would have enjoyed this film.

E t h n - wow, those are some strong feelings there. I don't really remember liking or disliking Mummy 2, I just remember I thought it looked exactly like Diablo 2 (video game)

Mr Nick --- May i know where you got the Satch and DT backing tracks from?? they sound like an excellent idea...

Clarky ---thanks for all the theory stuff you've been posting... i read your recent one on modulation but I have to say I'm a little confused. Why do you have to use dominant chords from A7 and Em to get back to A major? I think that's what you said.

everyone out there, hope you're having a great time and as always enjoy listening to satch...!!!

migupais, if you have the volume loud enough, try moving around the room while holding down one note... there are so-called "sweet spots" where the feedback likes to generate itself.... for FIABD hold down a C note on the third fret of the A string... for more available feedback harmonics also hold down a C on the 5th fret of the G string.... I think I read somewhere that Joe likes to put little tape marks on the stage floor so he can remember where they are for each venue. Good luck!

sharon, just a little more info... hacking doesn't mean taking your player apart (in case you were worried ;-) )... it's usually a weird combination of remote control presses that does it (kinda like those Easter Egg hidden extras)... and once it's done you don't need to do it again.... mine was something like "open DVD tray, press up, right, down, left, 3, 5, 7" and all of a sudden a message appeared on the screen saying "Region Free" :-) woohoo!!!! :-) btw my player is the one Tesco were selling, a Wharfedale DVD 750S... good luck :-) Dave

Jstrat57 - for Love Thing, check out some of the tabs at guitartabs.cc.... the opening chords are -

e---2--2--2--4--4--2--2------------
B---5--5--4--2--2--0--0------------
G---4--4--4--2--2--1--1------------
D---2--2--2--2--2--2--2------------
A--------------------------------------
E-------------------------------------

That happens three times then goes to something like this once-

e--0---0---0---0----0---0-----
B--0---0---0---0---0---0----
G--9---8---6--------1--------
D--9---9---7--------2---------
A- X------------------2----------
E--9-----------------0----------

Then back to the original chords, and then back again, you get the idea......

Of course this is just the rythmn, it changes again a bunch of times where you arpeggiate some chords, but this will give you an ok understanding......mick

tyrantduke - Happy 10! Well, I guess it's 15 now. ;-)

ncpickdude - I would guess it's from 1987 or 1988, because the song Satch Boogie was released in 1987.
Jstrat57 - Thanks for the mouse link. Also, if you still need a Love Thing tab, go to [link]http://www.stuarthamm.net/]/link] and check out the tab for the LISF solo. It starts out with the Love Thing chords on bass. Maybe you can use that to help figure the guitar chords out.
ovation1 - I think Joe played part of New Blues as an intro to Rubina a few times on the EOC tour. I saw a setlist in a photo gallery somewhere, but I forget where. Also, that was a crazy Joe picture. :-)
Akiko - San Francisco isn't really a surfing city.

Hi Joe, Hi Guys.

I have a question.

I have a JS1000BTB and i was wondering how long it should take for the strings to bed in.So far ive had it for three weeks and it's still going out of tune.

Also when i use the whammy bar, i mean when i push it down and pull it up quite far, i can hear and feel a clicking sound.I cant tell weather its the strings being tweaked or the neck of the guitar..................Any advice................PLEASE HELP,IM DESPERATE.ALL I WANT TO DO IS PLAY.

These JS1000s dont seem to be going down too

well. I dont get it.How come Joe doesnt have problems with his.

INVIGOR--I know what your going through,i feel your pain

Mike...................son of smithers

Thank goodness Satch is in our world. Here to save us from crap music.

smithers - With Floyds like that, i'd be suprised if it took more thna 5 minutes. The loops are gone so really stretching comes really quick on these types of guitars I find. Tuning problems are either at the bridge or nut.

My Jem strings don't even last 3 weeks. I'm lucky if they last more than a week with heavy playing every night. I don't play it.
