It is Stu not Boo - Thanks for the advice, I was reading through more of his lessons at Guitar World and Joe talked about how he used, I think it was B Phrygian, on Time and I can totally hear how it changed the sound of the song...... mick

Which song did JS license to Sony in the late '80s that was used in a Sony CD commercial? This was a general ad promotiing the great sound quality of CDs.

Shortwave7: That was Summer Song and I'd love to find a downloadable version of that commercial.

JSClone1: Thanks man. Isn't it amazing how such a simple idea can get so complicated? I should have called it The Bureaucratic Song! lol

Trutina - Yes defniately. There's something about your music that is simple yet does not get boring. I think it's really good stuff man. It's just one of those things that people can do in their first few years of playing but you took it up a notch with stuff that actually sounds good. I'm liking it man.

Any musical goals?

Smithers - i have the SATCH TAPES, it rules, i got in L.A. try ordering it.

Mr. Nick - wow! that is an amazing picture! i wonder if James was P I S S E D !!!

r6rocker - i just practice and practice and practice and practice...etc... if you approach the guitar the right way, you could do anything in 3 years. if you want something cool to practice, try Rock Discipline by you know who, The Guitar Chapter by Michael Romeo, or The Essential Marty Friedman(i think it's only available in Europe, i got mine in London.) the Jason Becker Hot Licks video is killer too!

JSC1 - the site you gave me is not working, i'll try again.

Joe, are you going to do any Florida shows this tour? If so where? I am a huge fan but have never had the privilege of seeing you live. I have watched the G3 dvd hundreds of times and would love to experience it myself.

Thanks.

Hey everyone!

Ovation: you don't mean nananana-thirteen?

Leanna: you've pulled out a blinder! Good find. I reckon it's more like a 20 minute version! Just imagine the 2 Towers at that speed. It'd take 5 minutes, what with the Helms Deep scene cut to a few seconds!

Everyone that said something to me: yep. Just acknowledging you all, without using any effort to make an intelligent reply.

Well, cricket on soon, so I'd better rack off and get lunch happening.

BEN

PS h302 I agree your name is just too anonymous. It's like 4nj5jio4jn4i6nds390 it just means nothing to me. Try something meaningful like: "Engelbert" or "Sum Yung Gai" or "15 Chests On A Dead Man's Bum, A Yo-Ho-Ho, A Yum-Hum-Hum" OR you can ignore my advice completely!

JS Clone1: Thanks again man, your talking me up like I know what the hell I'm doing. Just dropped by your iuma site again and I really dug what you had up. I hadn't listened to the Blues Jam before and was quite impressed. As far as music goals, I guess everything. lol. I mean if I were capable of playing harder stuff, I probably would. I've got some ideas, but at the moment I'm just exploring the wonders of recording and mixing, trying to figure out what tone goes with that tone or what it does what to that tone and so on, so it's probably best to keep it simple anyway. Eventually, I'd like to do epic journeys of songs like Rush's La Villa Strangiato but until then, maybe I'll just learn a couple more chords and double my playing vocabulary! lol.

Thanks for the words on the blues jam. I think it was my first time playing in 3 months. Hand injury.

www.liquidgeneration.com/sabotage/vision_sabotage.asp Check your vision.

Phrigadaire, you mentioned Twisted Sister - did anybody see the show on VH1 about rock stars kids? Dee Snyder's son was on. Holy shit man, he's cute! For as crusty as Dee is, he sure does have a good lookin' boy! It was cool to see and hear how the kids grew up. Some of them had it pretty rough because of who their dad's were and the fact that they were gone so much (and some having bad substance abuse problems). Others had more opportunities to do extremely cool stuff because of who they were. Some of the boys are in pretty cool bands too. They showed the kids of Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Cher, Meatloaf, and a few others. If it comes back on again, check it out. It was very interesting.

Ovation, we got new tires yesterday - howboutchew? lol!

Hi Mr.Joe, I'm new to your site though I've been a BIG fan ever since you fueled my pation to smash though my first sand dunes in my first car... those were my first days of pushing the boundries. Anyway, I have somthing serious to tell you. Martin Lindhe, he has mastered that which you are missing in your "Engins of Creation". I dream fancifully of you two getting together. He has mastered the synth's "Technology Romance", and you have the "Grounding Heart" needed to complete it, subsiquently creating god-like music... ...beyond legendary. (Clasical-Tech or Neo- Clasical) Yanni wouldn't be able to touch it unless he copyed or joined you guys (I doubt it, he seems to be a loner when it comes to synths.), it would be interesting to see him add his flair for the dramatic.

Before you decide I'm crazy, check mp3.com's (use search-E.I.- one of my favorite songs) Hi-Fi plays of his album "Bassicaly", listen to the first five songs... if you're not convinced... I'll take my mind elswere...

Keep kicking ass and I'll still purchase your awesome creations... reguardless. :)

Ps. I've also found what mite be the most honest female voice in existance... so strong...

Stu Not Boo-Thanks:-F
JSC1-I actually found this Sims cheat where if you put in this certain code you get $1,000 in Sims money, and you can get rich if you do it over and over again. You press: Control+Shift+C and type in rosebud. It'll only work for one Sims version. I'm not sure which one though.
Artanis-I've actually had it for about a year but I never thought about it. I used to be a part of this one AOL Lord of the Rings group and they always sent out the coolest links.
It's just a game so I might as well tell y'all: On the Sims Leanna and Jeff got married. LOL-she finally ate.
