ovation - when the Baptist is done, I'll send you a copy of the sketch.. same as before....... I'd be interested to see what you think....
JSC1 - so tell me about the Pacifica....... configuration, wood, how it plays etc... I've heard mixed things about them from "just another Strat copy so nothing special" all the way through to "a really very nice instrument, joy to play with a great tone"..... being a left handed mutant outcast... I don't really get to play many types of guitar [the right way up for me that is] .... which deeply sux..

death cube k: Thanks for the advice, you are probably right. That would work if I were smart enough to have saved that track seperately, but I only have the whole song, not each track. This is because I am a fool and I know nothing. I tried it anyway but it just takes every bit of tone right out out. Thanks though.
I can't beleive the cover of Guitar World says: "Zakk & Dime...
...Album with Van Halen?!?" And then inside, it explains that these two get drunk and call Eddie in the middle of the night and harass him about doing an album together. Zakk: "When we were on Ozzfest, I'd call him up loaded. I called him, he hung up; I called him, he hung up; I called him; he hung up; I called him, he hung up. Then finally he goes, "What the fuck do you want?" I said "Dude! We're gonna do this fucking album- me, you and Dime from fuckin' Pantera!" He just goes,"I've gotta figure out what the fuck's goin' on. I don't even know what's goin' on here at the fuckin' house! What are you fuckin' talkin' about?" (It is the middle of the night)
It would be cool, but I just don't get the feeling it's gonna happen. I don't know why though.

trutina sorry about that not working, thats how i learned to save all my tracks until i was totally happy with every track and the overall tune... i would like to hear your new tune when it is redone.
eddie VH might have thought that zakk and dime wanted some of his crack, thats why he hung up on them, haha.
in a related story once in high school my friend and i got really loaded, he gets the bright idea to call 411 to get ed van halens phone number , somehow gets it and calls him all drunk , tellin ed how he is the greatest , ending with ed asking who the F@#% are you how did you get my number.. it was funny. at the end my friend says what an A-hole he hung up on me.....lol it was the funniest thing ever can remember

bhanks - The show is sold out, so you won't be able to get tickets anywhere. There used to be a note on this site somewhere that basically said "Don't sign up to try to win the aftershow passes unless you already have tickets."... I don't see it on the site anymore, so maybe the webmaster accidentally removed it when he redesigned the site last year.
I know you weren't trying to do anything bad, but it hurts when people win the passes and aren't able to use them. There are people on this site that have been to several shows in recent years that still haven't won passes.
I think the only fair thing to do now would be for you to email webmaster@satriani.com and see if he can give your aftershow passes to someone else that has tickets. Sorry...
ollyno1uk - It's very important to learn all of the notes on the fretboard. If you're having trouble, just start with a small section and add a few more notes to memory each day. You'll find that there are a lot of repeating patterns...

nick / thebob - what was the question........
ovation - for the authentic sound but with the enhanced mosh pit vibe, we need Ibanez to invent a 7-string electric shamisen
must be done...
Grand Master Klarkagi - Shredo Ryu - Moshi Pitu Dojo
trutina - what's the prob with those types of calls...I've done loads of them.. there was one from my cell phone, drunk, lost from the top of some mountain in Switzerland [who's name I can't say cos it was all z's and u's with dots on]. And the girlie I called in Colorado Springs started screaming abuse at me because I dragged her out of bed to ask for directions to Switzerland because I thought I might accidentally be in Austria..must have been a time zone thing.. us English are not at our best in the snow... add very drunk to it and the situation deteriorates... anyhow... she couldn't help me but did call me a few hours later to say sorry for the nasty things she said to me... she's such a sweet thing.. I was still lost at that time and found a bar at the top of a different mountain.... no idea where or what country... but some very nice, hugely drunk Swedish dudes I met at the bar shared a cab with me cos they were in a ski resort that had U's with dots on..alles gute.. lol
happy birthday Alex... have a good 'un....

JS Clone 1 - I've been following the Matrix 2+3 progress for some time, and I agree with the anxieties about plot etc. Basically, I think it's down to something called "trust the wachowski's" (the guys who wrote and directed the first film). Though the first had groundbreaking effects (as the next two will) it still had a good, if fairly simple story. With LOTS of symbolism, not relying on one big twist, like he was dead all along.... hehe.
From what I can see, it won't be more of the same in effects or the same storyline. I think there's some real new stuff coming. The three movies are the story the guys wanted to tell, it's more of the matrix one being a prequel to the 2nd and 3rd, since it was originally concieved as a big story. hence the 2nd and 3rd coming out close together.
Anyway- even if it's just to see more fantatic action it's more worth your money than anything else coming out, as far as i see. and believe me, there's A LOT they haven't even shown in that superbowl trailer.

BobFeraffles Welcome to the site : )
Has anyone heard what Jack Wylde (spelling!) has called His latest son? I think its something like 'Hendrix Halen *something*' Theres something else on the end of that but i can't remember just what it is, heck hes gonna have to live up to something with a name like that anyway!
Oh yeah, had a proper go at testing out the new Marshall 'Mode Four' head today,it absolutely rocks!!!! Retails at about £650 sterling but its worth every pound, 4 channels of fantastic Brit tone! ........Joe Rules....

death cube k & clarky: Great stories. I've lead a sheltered life. lol
Clarky: I have no prob with calls like that (unless I'm on the other end of the phone), made many myself. I was just pissed cause I thought Eddie was actually going to record/release something and it turned out to be a bunch of shit, that's all. I think we should all call him and tell him to get off his ass. Come on Joe, you probably have his number or know someone who does. We won't tell him who gave it to us. Promise.
The re-record is going slower than expected. I'm doing everything over again but should be done in a couple hours. Hope to have it up by this evening. That's all for now.

Hey Joe, please can I cover "House Full Of Bullets" in a concert? ...........I know, people cover your stuff a lot, but I have to ask this because there's a high probability it's being filmed (if I can arrange everything in time!).
Thanks. oh, when are you coming back to London?
