hi joe,
I'm not sure if you (or any of your staff, or ASCAP) are able to follow-up on any of the proverbial "joe-sightings" (ie, where one of your faithful fans hears one of your songs in the background on the radio) ~ so I'm warming up the car tonight in the parking garage ready to start the weekend ~ it's around 6:18p EST ~ I catch an audial whiff of this bad@ss guitar going on in the background on the radio and suddenly I'm struggling and straining like crazy to hear the little bits of tantilizing guitar phrases in-between the local generation-why concerts announced at breakneck verbal speed ~ though I can tell it's one of YOUR songs I'm uncertain until the very end of the announcements when it gelled with four monster drumbeats and I knew it was CIRCLES ~ YES! ~ 101.1 "The Rock" (broadcasting from New Hampshire but I'm not sure of the call letters) ~ while it may or may not make a difference to your pocketbook, I can certainly attest it made MY evening to catch "a glimpse on the radio" of my favorite musician
*big smile*
cheers, everyone ~ take it easy, joe

I like 5150, fair warning, and 1984 best.
1984 and fair warning were the best, cuz that's when eddie
got to do what he wanted, before that DLR and the producers got there way.Well, even after FW, since diver down was half covers.
DLR was beyond lame.

962 yes you are correct, I love the content of Pavilion, especially the two solos. You are also on key with the solo to Lonely in the Night which happens to be my favorite solo of all time.

Stu Clone: Damn cool man. Really killer stuff there. You and Matt should collaberate on something.
Matt: Awesome. Never cease to amaze.
death cube K: Thanks, I wanted it to sound a little different, hence the slide on the bass and the pedal steel.
Narface: Cool pic isn't it. What I thought was cool was the fender resonator he has (black). It's cool cause it's identical to mine. That Vai, always trying to copy me lol.

Hi Joe, I'm really inspired by your music and guitar playing. I once heard someone say that there are 2 ways in playing the guitar. One is to impress, the other is to inspire. And the best thing is you have both elements in your music. You're truly a great musician! - Ryan (Singapore)

Matt,
What area are you in anyways? I forget... Is it in Florida, or is that just your guys' tour schedule?
Depending on college plans, I might actually end up around there (hmmm... getting a little ahead of myself, am I?)
Hey, 150!

Howdy Joe!
My name is Louise & I am from (Adelaide) Australia also
21 years old. When I met my friend Gavin (Brilliant lead Guitarist)
He had Flying in a Blue Dream in his car stereo refusing to take it out
for 3 years in a row also had a tape with Blue Dream & Steve Vai's
Alien love secrets (Bad Horsie) on the other side I was a transformed girl your
Music is orgasmic. I had to buy your album Flying in a blue Dream,
then I had to buy Steve Vai's Passion & Warfare you are both guitar
musical geniuses.
Last time Steve toured Australia he came to Adelaide year 2000 he was
excellent. My friends & I are waiting in anticipation for the G3 tour
to come to Adelaide with the Virgil Donati would be awesome.....
atleast we will be there : )
After the (Steve Vai) concert in Adelaide, as we were leaving
we saw his car out the front so I blew him a kiss he blew one back,
then they drove around the back of Heaven (the venue they played)
I thought I have to meet him walked past once & didn’t stop to meet him
So I thought have to do it this time so I ran up to the van he was in
& asked him for a kiss he sweetly gave me one, my friends shook his hand
what a gentleman. Boy were we bowled over that night.
Sorry to go on about Stevie but had to tell you.
Not long after that I met Steve Morse kissed him too,
then he asked me for a kiss as we were leaving because I asked
"How are you" made him feel normal, another beautiful person in the
industry. So we are still waiting for you,
& I’m waiting to add you to my kiss list... : )
Next time I post you it will be about something other than your mates.
My friend Gavin writes fantastic original music, I know you & Steve
would like it, we are putting a band together for it but it is very
difficult in Adelaide. NO MONEY :(
Love your work heaps and you!!! You certainly have our respect.
Love Miss Tickal xxooxx 2-1-03

crispin - Ya know how after you go to a loud concert and your ears ring for a few hours? People with tinnitus have that feeling ALL THE TIME. Tinnitus comes and goes...
Stu Clone - That's an awesome medley.
