"Stu Not Boo" nice idea, though I'm rather late, the last thing I listened to was "Never Sold Out" by "Luna Sea".

I thunk the interview in total guitar mag was pretty good but a little teadiouse in places. Has anyone noticed the "Tremonti SE" PRS on page 91, that's a bargin.

RDG - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Matt Lonsberry - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

to the groundhog - HAPPY GROUNDHOGS DAY!!

Darren, is there such a thing as cow bell lessons? lmao!!

edit - Darren, I almost forgot, when fellow Satcher Evbro was having problems with his wrist, JOE told him to rest it and let it heal. An injury will only get worse if you stress it. There's no urgency to learn guitar, and you'll play much better when your healthy. If anybody knows exactly what Joe said, please post it for our injured lad.

I saw Joe play at the Fillmore in SF on Feb. 1. He was so amazing! I'm a huge fan of his, own several albums and DVDs, but I've never seen him live. Joe, If you're reading this, please consider playing at the UC Berkeley campus. I want the the people here to realize the real musicianship they're missing and come to recognize you as KING. Another thing, I stayed after the show to get autographs; your dynamic with fans is absolutely amazing. If you don't remember me, you signed my pick-guard and all five album covers that I own. Great job. God bless.

Cleetus - Happy birthday.

On the improv subject, personally, if I were to record an audio version of a cover, I would do it note for note without changes. However, playing live is a different thing. I took Hordes of Locusts and changed a lot of things. I kept the parts Joe played pretty accurate (combining the NOTE version aswell as the D#11 version) but changed the backing structure and bit and added some fun things to do live. http://richardhaier.iuma.com

DCK - Thanks a lot man.

Hey Joe!

Thanks for the great shows in San Francisco this weekend. Also just bought your DVD- fantastic! Almost won the free lesson from you from our local rock station. I always keep you in mind when I'm playin'! Looking forward to your next show(s) in the Bay Area. Have a great tour!

Hi Joe,

I saw you for the second time at The Fillmore last night and again, thought you were beyond great ! The two and a half hour wait in the cold to get in was so worth it ! Thanks for taking me to that place (inside me) where so few take me. If you don't walk away (or snowboard away) with the Grammy this year, I tell you, I just do not get it !

You know, you're right, the world is in a crazy space and life is hard. So many awful things happen and they touch us on some level and sometimes make us want to disconnect because it's just too negative. Thank God for your music and the connection I feel when I listen to it. That connection is really with all that's good inside and outside of me (us all) and with something much bigger than I could ever put into words.

I believe the effects of the space shuttle news showed up at The Fillmore last night. The energy was high, but very different. People are hurting and thanks to your music, healing as well.

Take care.

Happy Birthday to Cleetus and RDG.

crispin - The DVD is "short" because it's roughly the same length as the CD. And CDs can only be about 74 minutes long.

Black pearl is one of the color options for the JS1000.

This site is on Pacific (CA) time.

michelle - I think Joe said that in response to Matt's injury. He basically said "put the guitar down and rest".

...Austin...

Hey Joe! Thanks to you, Jeff, Galen and Matt for the best concert I've ever seen!! I spent the first 4 songs trying to recover from the shock of being about 5 feet away from you (I was the guy in the front with the glasses and funny hair =D ). My friends and I showed up about 5 hours early, and you made it worth every minute of the wait. And thanks for letting me cover some of that whammy bar action on "Surfing With the Alien!!" :D Not only did I get the best concert in history, I got to play Chrome Boy (to an extent)!! Your performance was a blast of inspiration on an otherwise sad day. Oh, and by the way, that show was so good the Hayward fault is still feeling the beat even this mornning! All the Bay Area folks know what I'm talking about! :) Thanks again! Peace, love, and bad-ass ROCK!

DeathCube! Thanks man,

It's amazing what you can do when you're not quite yourself!! Not that I'm going to go out of my way to do that too often...

I got home from work that day beat tired, and decided to have a Bacardi & Coke, but I was so damn thirsty that I chugged it too quick... Needless to say it went straight to my head, I couldn't walk for the life of me, but since I was stuck at the computer I turned the amp on, pressed the record button hooked my computer up to the Midi Keyboard and pretty much jammed to a drum track! I played something basic in the key of G and when it was the time to record the lead I just started messing around! it turned out not too shabby!
