FalconIII - Welcome to the site...

Ethn Hayabusa / ovation1 - I'll send the transcript to you guys later tonight. It's one big mess that was copied and pasted, so I have to clean it up a little bit first.

there wasnt really much opportunity for joe to talk from what i saw.. it was insanity at the end when he actually went into the chatrooms.... bombarded by kiddies asking what he thought of brand x guitars or brand y amps.

The 370 will make a nice addition to the collection.. although i think im still gonna buy a JS1000 cuz i found a price that couldnt be beat.

I just wear what I want to wear and do what I want to do. Tsk tsk Austin you know you have to conform to some kind of group or you're not "cool" and you'll be unpopular...

I always used to get clothes that felt comfortable and didn't look awful, and these days I just wear t-shirt and shorts (making sure my knees aren't visible standing up and that my undies are above the shorts - vertically I mean) with !!!sandals!!! and everyone else can please themselves. I don't need to look like someone else. I prefer the opposite actually...

Prep (to me) means the year of school between kindergarten and grade 1. (Which I didn't do...I went straight to grade 1.)
Hey wow, Jelly Man you just did the exact same thing I did, except yesterday...

Davelas: he should use glow-in-the-dark ninja turtle stickers...they were the rage @10 years ago!!! Put Shredder on the super chorus, Leonardo on the flanger...

Boyd: that's no good, man. No good at all.

Smithers'son: I asked about it last week: the digitech pedal goes to his harmoniser, which he has on a rack.

Any blokes that wear make-up...hmmm...unless your name is Gene Simmonds...hmmm...not very manly...

Silmarien: *beep* job and the *beep* electricity *beeeep* not working *beeeeeeeeeep* 4 *beep* hours *beeeep* the *beeeeep* stupid *beeeeeeep* waitress *beeep* what a load of *beep* *beeeeeeep* *beeep*.

I forgot about the chat too! Oh well, whatever, nevermind.

Have I got an interesting story:

Last night at a farewell BBQ for a friend, her sister, boyfriend and this other guy sang a song (real sentimental one), and for the last chorus, Matty quickly grabbed one of those clip-on capo jiggers and we had an "instant upkey" !!! It was hilarious!

It was like: "look over there!" #keychange#

Wow my posts always seem to go on a bit don't they...either that or I do 3 at a time...

oops. World Cup (the REAL one) starts tonight! It's at 11:15PM though, I think I'll go to bed. Watch the last few hours at the crack of dawn.

Latelypoos, BEN

And now, for a few things that are completely different:

I'm thinking chocolate sounds like a plan right now...where the heck is my fridge?...snare drum sounded wicked this morning, don't know what I did to it...can't wait until holidays are over and semester starts and finishes and holidays start again...easy on the brandy snaps, too much of anything is too much...5 snags and a steak are not an appetiser...

Just some random thoughts there.

Jelly Man: is that like Mr Jelly (Mr Men)? Aeroplane Jelly for meeeee? Green Jelly? (Little pig, little pig let me in...) Man, I've got jelly crystals at home, but I can't make jelly because I DON'T HAVE A FRIDGE (where the heck is it?).

Regarding [JOE CHAT]

Stu not Boo: thanks for the help stu not boo but didnt work. Wasnt able to go in chat. ------------------------------- JOE Satriani: I was very disapointed in the chat service that you allowed or were forced into. I hope you can choose a better service company next time,if you have the choice that is.

I felt that www.guitar-guitar.com/ was incompitent in its handling of chat services.

------------------------------- Sorry to everyone in here. I dont mean to sound narrow minded,i'm just abit upset right now >.<

i'm a little upset by the chat service too. but, i wouldn't have been if some people in the chat weren't asses. for those of you who missed it, don't be so pissed off, because you might be more pissed off if you were actually there -- while joe had great answers as usual, there were people who seemed to f*ck it up for everyone else, as usual. people would come in the room and flood and spam like crazy with "WHAT WOULD YOU PLAY IF YOU WERE ATTACKED BY A HUNGRY DINOSAUR" or some crap. and of course, "COME TO MICHIGAN" over and over and over as fast as he could paste and press enter. how annoying. so, joe tried to get out of the room, and go to another where the people were less annoying, and they just followed him. is it too much to ask to get one or two answers from joe, respectably, without people virtually mobbing joe? joe skipped from room to room for a half hour, eventually getting into a locked room where people couldn't follow him. the section before that (with questions that were entered beforehand) was much more enjoyable..... other than that, i was pretty angry and the people who messed it up, so don't be too mad, you didn't miss out on much. joe, next time i really think you should just get mr. luini to set up a chat on THIS site. i would enjoy that much more. thanks. Ill agree... guitar guitar dot com seemed a lot unorganized. Although how else could they really have done it? I think it'd be more.... whats the word... fulfilling for joe to do an arranged event for satch.com users... I think we'd get a lot more out of it without (sorry for being snobby) the kids who want to know why joe does or doesnt like x brand guitars and what not (as well as asking these quesitons several hundred times)

I'd also venture to bet that T2J'ers would be respectful enough of each other to let each speak one at a time. ~Justin

Unpublicized, random Joe chats at this site would definitely be the way to go. Most people here are really cool and we would be a great "audience" for a chat.

Online chats are really cool because you can ask someone a question and they'll answer you in real time. But the coolness level goes down when the chats become so popular that questions have to be preselected. At that point, the chat is nothing more than an interview done by a journalist. But once you take into account the fact that journalists are smarter than the average internet user (no offense intended to anyone), you end up with an "interview" that's slightly below average.

What happened today could have been accomplished with the Guitar-Guitar people emailing Joe a list of 20 questions, and Joe emailing back answers an hour later. It would have been a lot less stressful for everyone involved. In fact, I would love to see an "fan interview" like that done every once in a while. Eric Johnson does one or two of these a year through his mailing list. It's really cool.

But we can't forget, one of the purposes of this chat was to promote Ibanez guitars through the GuitarTrader.com website. And that looks like it was a success.

Hey everyone! First of all...congratulations to the winner...jstrat57... When do you get the guitar? :)

I didn't think much of last night's chat...not because of joe...I just don't think celebrity chats really work that well... And it was so nice of joe to go to each room at the end...but he was just bombarded with so many questions and comments that he couldn't answer! Anyhow...for anyone who's interested...there'll be a full transcription of the chat on the guitar-guitar website by tomorrow.
