Ga6e - check your e-mail bro....
Kell - all happy is the best way.... even if a little late... so long as I'm not getting turned over then I'm ok with late... if the end product turns out to be a master piece then it would have been worth the wait.... and so it would have been 5 months late... but I'm still alive and and I get to eat every day... it's about perspective... if I'm getting turned over [which I don't yet think I am] then I'll find out pretty soon and do something about it...

Ga60 :) I do agree with you there! The thing is, it's really hard for the other influences to come out in the style I'm writing. SRV is a biggy on me, but the thicker tone doesn't show it as much...Kirk Hammet believe it or not is a biggy, Steve Vai with phrasing. I think it's the fact that I'm writing extremely simple instrumental rock music that creates the relay to joe!! Something, I do naturally I suppose. I still look at it this way...I think it's pretty cool music and all, and it seems some ppl like it too? The way I see it realy is, I understand you hear the influence, but if it's decent music...I can't really control what comes out :-\ the minute I *try* to write out of my style, it starts to sound tacky...and totally fabricated as opposed to the open style of writing I have now :-\

Crystal Planet! :) Hey man, thanks!! I remember ya dude, my screen name is 'mjk coe' :) pop me an im!!

Nick :) hehe I woul send it out if I had more copies! hehe I only have this one last copy hangin around!

Chris -- That's pretty cool man...the only thing is, does it fit the songs we have already written...I'm trying to come up with someone really...abstract in a sense that matches the atmosphere of all our songs so far. The ideas I have so far are terrible, but thanks to you and some guys on the COE forum, I think I see a different way to approach the title! :) Thank you VERY much for suggesting a title!! Keep em' coming if ya can...

you want some acoustic vai? Melissas Garden, from the Seventh Song Archives Volume One album, and Brando's Costumes (Gentle Ways) from Alive In An Ultra World.

but there isn't any vai that's easy.

why would I want to set fire to my strings? it's a stage thing. it'll look good on film! Don't worry, i'm not one for trashing guitars. i'm very careful. I wouldn't set fire to my Jem tho! just my GIO, hehe. and that's why i'd brush it out quick before it damages the frettboard - the strings don't matter, cause they'll come off after the show anyway.

but do you reckon it would work, in principal? it's meant to just look cool - you know, playing a shred solo so fast that it sets light to the strings! hehe. I'll have to practice hiding the lighter.
