everyone is being really rude about this Astoria thing. Hey, it takes me as long to get there as it takes you guys, but I still respect it as a Venue. I don't expect Joe Satriani to come play on my doorstep, so i make a compromise and ask that he plays at the sort of place that he's likely play to anyway!
give us a break. we're only trying to show the council what they're throwing away!

Cool.... Man, I've got to get busy and get some stuff out here...that is, specifically, on the net. I am working on it, but it just isn't happening as quickly as I'd like it to. All in due time I suppose. In the meantime, you guys can check my bass player and guitar player in their other band. They have some rough demo's here: Sandblast My favorite track here is "Greening Room" They're very busy at the moment mixing a 32 track recording of about 10-12 songs... Denny is busting some ass...This is a bit different than what we do....our project doesn't have any lead vocals for one thing...
Take care..Kell

Hello everyone. I have a question for anyone that chooses to offer their opinion.
How long, if ever, should it take for a beginner to be able to play guitar in a way similar to S.R.V's Lenny?
Taken for granted that this beginner is provided good instruction, is a resonably intellegent individual with above average hand/eye coordination. Thank you in advance for your answer(s).

you can have the best guitar instructor in the world and still suck...it's all about practice...take what your instructor gives you, and practice the death out of it until you know it inside out..dedication is the number 1 thing to becoming a good musician...so it's up to how hard you work for it that determines how long it's gonna take...

Howdy Joe,
I was looking at the picture page for the Fillmore shows (I was there Friday night and had a great time. You guys rocked)! and I noticed the picture of one of your pedal boards shows two DS-1's patched together in series. They had identical settings which makes me wonder why you need/want two? Hmmm. Thanks again for the awsome show in the city.
Best Regards,
Mike.

Matt - Did Stu Clone write bass line and you played through some kind of effect with your guitar for the bass? It sounds more rockin' than your previous stuff which I dig. I think for me when the lead kicks in, the rhythm guitar should lose something. Maybe stick to simple power chords as the bassline is busy on it's own. It sounds like there's all these other things happening with makes it hard to find the groove of the song.
Narface - 300 and 20000, that's some kinda post.
Kell - Nice of you to show the interest.

Austin, I suppose you are right. Giving away an S-series guitar is a lot less costly than one of Joe's signature models. And the person who won would be more likely to buy another Ibanez in the future.
Also, I think you know what to do about the guy in the dorm room next to you........enlighten him with some "Satch" music. Then his playing would certainly be more tolerable to your ears ;) Peace, Dave
