DeathCube(Mark): Wow... ya' hate the POD's eh? I'll tell you this much. I'd never ever use one as my main rig, unless I was forced to. For me, nothing beats the sound of a real amp with a real cabinet shaking the sack.lol! I do like using my POD in the studio though. I still record my solo's through my amp and DI box. I then reamp the DI signal through the POD (if needed). The one thing that no modeler can do as of yet is to display the dynamics of a true amp. Until that day arrives, I think there will continue to be folks that hate em'. Just my measley input.....

Clarky: If you ever get to AZ, give me heads up... There's a great little micro brewery about three miles from where I work. They make a wicked, nut brown ale(my all time fav.). We had some guys from our Ireland facility in and they were actually quite impressed with it. I'd say that's a hell of a compliment, wouldn't you? Kell

WEBMASTER...

Please help. It's been over 6 months now. Some info would be greatly appreciated. Is there any way to contact you off-T2J so I don't have to post this here? My email & home addresses are available in my account info. Please let me know whether this is a lost cause or not.

Thanx... John aka =o|-[

Nick - no probz... here's a nice little twist... a melody in natural minor but chord IV is major forcing you into the Dorian mode..
such as Em - C - Em - [all in Em] then A [in E Dorian].. this will cause a slight 'lift' due to the introduction of the major 6th interval... so it's 'less minor'.
and the other way around... Em - A - D - [all in E Dorian] then C [in Em]....

you can do this with lydian, mixolydian and ionian too... in fact to combinations are alomost endless..

The Summer Song times... can be done..it'll take a little longer though ['cos I'll have to put in a little more effort... lol]... I'll see what I can do..

greg - ah the joys of being out of control and in self distruct mode...
kell - getting an Irishman to talk at even remotely coherently when beer is involved is quite an achievment in its self... if falling down drunk was an Olympic event Eire would get gold every time.. the silver and bronze would be hottly contested by the English, N. Irish, Scots, Ozzies and Kiwi's...

If I get to AZ I'll look you up.. you'll so regret it..ask Texas... lol

Clarky - Well, I could probably quote the entire script to that film!!!!!!!! But I suppose that's not something I should admit to...

r6rocker - Thanks man! I'm pretty glad. Trouble is, it was just in time for Valentine's day. Expensive.

matt king - Are you at Berklee now? How's that going? Or am I way ahead of proceedings here...?

Sorry for the double post but this is of particular importance: I need to know if anybody here lives in or near Los Angeles. I've been offered the once in a lifetime opportunity to go and study at LAMA for three months this summer at an exceptionally good price. However, this price doesn't include accomodation as I'd have to find my own. My question is this: how would I go about looking for accomodation in LA whilst living in England, and how much would I have to be prepared to pay for the duration of my course? Obviously I'm pretty excited by this opportunity, and I need to find out really soon I can start getting stuff sorted out. ANY help would be greatly appreciated; by e-mail or whatever.

Thanks

Neil

p.s. - Mr. Nick - get that tape sent off ASAP coz spaces at the Academy are filling up REALLY quick this year!

chocoholic - well, the jellyman thing will be revealed soon, hehe. there;s no particular reason though, I just felt like a change. BTW it was actually on the M25 - on the way we were delayed by about an hour cause of them stopping everything around heathrow, but that wasn't too bad. Still, we decided to come back the other way round the M25 to get to sussex. A very bad decision since an accident happened blocking all but one lane, and movement was incredibly slow.

Ah yes, the Korg AX1500G forgot about that one- that quite interested me yeah, i have the sound clip of Joe too.

Master Yoda Sounds like fun! I wish I could help you.

Nick/Clarky Why, who's Irish around here? (okay, I admit it, my two paternal G Gradfathers came from Ireland, so that would make me what, 1/4? Oh well, I don't really drink (haven't got the cash, + can't be bothered to get a fake ID)

Hey, I saw this really funny story on the news about Parcel Force. A lot of their drivers are self employed, and Parcel Force pay them per delivery they make. So lots of the time, they come around during the day, and no one's in at the house they're meant to be delivering to, so they leave the parcel in the wheely-bin. Then the bin men come around before the house owner gets home and........... And no, this wasn't anything to do with Channel 5. I think I can trust the Beeb's news.
