Matt- you are too kind.
It's actually probably a terrible idea, lol.
I am not a believer in me having good ideas. It raises people's expectations of me, and I really don't want to mislead anyone

Austin: If you'd be so kind.... my email addy is, as always, available to all. I'd like to check out the transcript.
On the Sig. guitar debate that really is no longer..... I've played Ibanez guitars since I was 13. They were cheaper than the other brands, but had the same quality. I had no idea they would ever be as big as they are now. Currently, I have two RG 550's that are completely customized. I also have a JEM 7VWH..... The story on that one is: it's the one Vai gave away for the Secret Jewel Box purchase. I love that guitar and have played the shit out of it since I recieved it. I can't NOT play it. Truth be told, I would never buy one. Too much money for me. I'm not saying that it isn't worth the money, it is.... I just can't afford that kind of price tag. I don't sound anything like VAI or Satch.... that would be far too big a compliment to my abilities....and therefore could never accept it, actually, who cares if someone thinks that....It aint me to think too much about it, I just do what I do. Even though Joe and Steve are two of my biggest influences, I've tried to avoid doing anything they do exactly the way they do it. I don't know who I sound like.... I guess, me.
Putting that to rest, the next guitar I will be buying is a cheap little ESP H100. I've played a couple of these and for the money, I can't turn it down. It's made very well, especially considering it's Korean (no offense to anyone). I need a guitar with a fixed bridge to perform open and dropped tunings, without having a bunch of dedicated instruments. I will be buying a black one, dropping in a Ducan JB and a '59 and my sis-in-law is giving it a one of a kind paint job.... It's gonna be really cool.
Remember tone is always in the hands of the player.......
That's it from me.....
-Kell

Hey Joe! Thank you so much for coming back to Albuquerque a couple days ago. You put on an absolutely great show. I was so impressed with the set list and the fact that you played for over two and a half hours straight. That was just awesome. Thank you so much for playing 'Why' and 'Time Machine'. I had said that the only way to vary the set list was to do something from that album. And the jam session after 'The Crush Of Love' was amazing. Jeff, Matt, and Galen did a wonderfull job as well. Well, I hope the tour continues to go well, and hopefully I will see you back in Albuquerque sometime soon. Thanks. Take care!

kell Yeah, the ESP H series are sooooooo good! Rock on! I've finally found a fellow believer! COOOOLLLL!!
MegaBoyd Peace and Love and Good Happiness Stuff to you, dude.
Aahh, Passion&Warfare, the album with the amazing disappearing lyrics (look in the inlay to see what I mean)
Once, my twelve year old brother had a poster of Holly Valance or Anna K or someone up in his room, so for a joke, I stuck up the PW inlay with SV and the iby universe up on top of his poster, but stuck some paper over his name and wrote "holly valance" or whoever the person on his poster was on it. Next thing, I found my inlay screwed up in his bin!

hi mr joe i'm a mega fun of you since 1988 i'm a guitar amateur player but do you believe that i've no electric guitar?sure when you're poor and you live in a country called algeria this might be true.since i was 13 i wanted to have a guitar but now i'm25 nothing changed you know steve vai was very lucky to meet you i hoped i'll see you one day playing but i've never seen you just hearing .when we are poor we mustn't play music we must die.my last wish before leaving this life is that you'll perform an instrumental song about me called "message from the shit" sorry for the title but it's the exact one needed.thanks for listening, good luck mr joe and good bye.
your megafun halim rebech from algeria.

If anyone else wants the chat transcript, either post here or email me.
Clarky - I didn't think you would recognize it...hehe. Thanks for reading through everything, though.
Narface - The BTB was never available in the USA. If the white JS1000 is still in the catalog then maybe they messed up somehow...I don't know. Oh well.
jayne - It's too early to tell.
McDave - Ibanez probably gives away S series guitars because they're cheaper. Another reason is maybe that if the Satriani fan wins an S series and likes it, he may spend money on the JS model. But if a Satriani fan wins a JS model, he won't want always want to buy another Ibanez guitar.

Ethn here's the H-100. Not that expensive, eh. Check out the h302 while you're there. It may be more expensive over in England though, when I bought mine, the list prive of a h302 was more in pounds than the price on the site was in dollars!
Ooh, music is so fun. I wish I'd started it earlier, so I could doa more musical degree.
stu not boo Please could I have the transcript? My email is gregmelia@yahoo.co.uk

Hi I just wanted to start of by saying that you are the greatest guitar player ever to walk this earth. You are trully an inspiration to everyone, and your style is amazing everything about the way you play is out of this world. I saw your guitar the ibanez js2000, and i was wondering which is the best guitar you've ever played one, was it the js series or another? I was also wondering what techniques, scales, anything that will help me be a better guitarist and play some of your stuff, or at least try too. Well thank you so much for your time and the ability to talk to you, it means alot. Thank you good bye.
