Matt: good luck at the Brian Moore test drive, you won't need it! And about the stuff you said about either going with music or moving on, this is the conclusion I've come to. You can always get a job teaching at a music store, or working in one while still persuing guitar. I'm 20, and being close to the end of college, that's the decision I've made. Working in that kind of environment is fun, and it leaves me open to keep playing recording sessions and produce/record other bands. Remember, producing or composing may be another avenue in the music bizz that will allow you to generate capital that will then allow you to create all the instrumental music you want.

JSClone1: thanks for the picking advice. My normal right hand technique is actually 99% thumb joint movement (it just flows for me and minimizes movement) I am however picking really fast alternate stuff from the elbow for now. I'm getting very precise with it, and it isn't givinig me any stress issues, so it should be okay, but ideally I'd like to be able to play as fast as possible using my standard pick method. btw, i might be able to record and compile so licks to send you tommorrow.

To all instrumentalists: DCK,Danny K, Clarky, JSclone1, Matt King, Sharif, Pete Mulas, and any one else I forgot. What do you guys think about collaborating to put together a compilation cd of our stuff to sell here, and else where on the web? It could be kind of like the Merry Axemas cd's but with original tunes.
