olly if you are getting sound out of your mic port, then you cant be far from the answer. What OS are you running? If it is windows, then go into your sound properties (the little speaker on the bottom right) and make sure for both recording and playback that line-in is NOT muted.

Yoda - I know what you mean about quote Spinal... it's legendary enough to commit to memory.. lol...

also.. my new kitchen and hall floor has been sorted.. the next two weekends are busy for me... I'll check with the authorities [wife] that we have no plans.. so maybe we can jam in a few weeks tme... I'll let you know pretty soon...

try this:

http://www.carmenparker.com/frameRealtorCom.html

I used this to look for property when I was moving to Dallas Tx a few years ago [which was obviously cancelled.. lol]

Narface - not forgotten bro... shredz and beer in HK sounds like fun...
ovation - JTB is almost done now.. like I'm on the home straight... it's sounding wicked...

also news on the band line up... my band Avarice now has a new member.. I had a serious problem to solve... I obviously don't have access to the Royal Philharmonic or London Symphony orchestras or the St Martin in the Fields Choir... shux.... but I need an orchestra and choir for live... originally I was thinking about having the band play over a click track and let sequencers solve this... this is very difficult for two reasons.. taking machines on stage is risky due to the potential of equipment failure and drummers that can play to a click and can still play in an exciting manner are about as rare as rocking horse shit / they want paying / already play for someone like Vai.... So I need to do this completely live...
I now have another keyboard player to add to the keys, drums and bass that I've recuited already... better still I know him well and work with him in another band a few years back...
All I need now to complete the line up is a 7-string riffer...
it's all coming together - poco a poco

death cube - one of my best buddies in the whole world is a top geezer called Wayne... He lives in Dallas and is from Edmonton Alberta... he drinks like he has hollow legs... he's smart like Einstein, he's built like a WWE wrestler [and therefore not to be messed with].. and he's a top rock solid guy to have for a best bud... and he is of course a complete nutter [like me].... So if he didn't get a mdeal at the drinking Olympics [representing Canada of course].. he may be up for a medal when it all kicks off in the parking lot a little later....lol
Matt - we've spoken about this at length before... just follow your instinct.. you are developing a sound of your own... it's a great sound too... you are as I pointed out earlier crossing over into the area where your inner voice will assume control.
You are not a clone... in a single year I've seen enourmous changes in your style and approach... in a crass kind of way it's like going through puberty.. lol.. big changes.. reversal of idols.. experimentation... this will take a little while to settle down... you'll come out of the other side a phenominal player. ..
PRMAN - very good call... but then you know I'm a big PFM fan...
alexandre - I've been through the record company bullshit more than once... your hopes raised and then destroyed at a whim... I sypathise with you.. this is very painful to go through.. do not give in...
Michelle "Happy V.D. everyone".... why do you want everyone to get VD????

Marcel Coenen "Inner Alchemmy"

Now...this is SAD....i posted a link for you guys to discover a new great guitarist that apart from being a great virtuoso ( the best guitarist over the Netherlands) have too much class on his choice of notes, a lot of feeling, and great songs.....and not one single comment review.....why is that?

Why are you guys so close minded when it comes to open your ears to new music? Do you beliebe the instrumntal rock that Satch plays its the only good music in the world? Dont misunderstandme, he is the greatest on what he do, but dont you love to know more truely amazing artist that WORTH the listen????

I said this because (as example) Matt post a song (kick ass song by the way......not try to bash you, you know it...) and then you guys hear it almost imediatly because , apart from being a great guitarist\musician he plays very similar to Satch.....

Dont bash me, you can listen to whatever you want, but i just wanted you to share something i found that was great to me and it may be great to anyone because its 100% pure quality music.......im not trying to change the way you admire-love-wantobelikesatch.....just telling what i sense here...

I bet you guys, most of you dont even know about Neil Zaza, Andy Timmons, Shawn Lane, Chris Brooks, Marcel Coenen, Mattias IA Ekluhnd, Michael Romeo, Rob Balducci, Rob Johnson, Rhon Thal, Ophet, etc.....

I just wanted to sugest you a new world of music that may open your mind to an extraordinary musical level....

If you dont like what i sugest you to listen, its fine....but give it a try...

nick - mong generally means complete idiot and it is of similar strength and perspective as 'complete twat', 'total wanker', etc...

it is not as flexible in terms of the number of different contextual meanings as the words fuck and bollox

it only has the two meanings

1/ Mong - someone who is desperately un-clever

2/ Monged - someone who is desperately un-clever and a result of drink / drugs...

Therefore, some one can be a mong and get monged. But you don't have to be a mong to get monged. However, it is typical for someone that is not normally a mong to behave like a mong when monged.
It is also true that many people are complete mongs without the excuse of being monged.. They just constantly exhibit mongey [spoken: mong-ee] behaviour.

When a mong is monged, you'd expect that this heightened state amplifies the general mongeyness.. and this is true it does.. However there is no Mong term to describe this exra-mongey state... No ultra-mong for example.. It seems that once you are a big enough / drunk enough idiot to cross over into the realms of being a mong, you are then simply a mong no matter how much worse you get...

Mong is derived from Mongoloid which is why this term is deeply offensive, very upsetting, politically incorrect, and therefore why I like to use it...

Berkeley: - I just thought that is was a huge compliment, that Irish guys like beer from an "American" brewery. Irish beer rules, man! ;)

Ga6O: - If I had anything but dial-up, I'd check him out right now. I have heard of this guy. It sucks being on dial-up, not time to wait for it to download. Shawn Lane is furious! You like him, check out my friend: Jason Blake

Irish guys like beer from anywhere man! They'd probably drink out of the Loo if they had too!

But you're right, it was a nice compliment, since most Euro's just bash the shit out of anything us Yankee Dogs do!

Don't drink too much of that Brown Ale this weekend!>)

Matt - Your songs deserve to be put on a cd! If I listen to them almost as much as Satch that's tellin ya something.... As for your own sound, that's still developing and is changing constantly, new ideas will always come over time. As soon as your ready to put a cd together I would do it, I'd definetly back you up and buy at least one. Keep at it man..... mick
