Hey people, could somebody tell me is the JS-1000's neck made of maple as I've read? I'm almost sure it is, but I would need a confirmation.

Also does anybody know how much the Lo Pro Edge bridge costs approx? I'd be glad if somebody could point me a website of some store preferrably in EU area which would have some info (specs/price) of the bridge and other parts used in JS-1000 guitars. I'm from Finland and I've checked all the places I know in here and also Thomann's website and I've found absolutely nothing about bridges or other Ibanez guitar parts. :-(

One more question: I've noticed that there are 2 types of DiMarzio FRED pickups, F-spaced and "regular", so which one is the one used in JS-1000? I assume the F-spaced is only for Fender type of guitars and is slightly wider, right?

Thanks a lot for any info you can offer. :-)

"Weapons of mass distortion".... LMAO!!! That's a good one! :-D

Mr Nick it depends on the software you're using.... Cubase has some built in, Logic does (but not Micrologic), and Cakewalk / Sonar come with loads! What are you using? (yeah, you're right Invigor ;-) heh heh

AustiNitsuA and Death Cube K you have (snail) mail on its way (finally!)

Avarice, are you sure....? you have been known to tell the odd porky from time to time after all..... ;-) so you're a drummer? Want to lay down some grooves for my next pay-per-listen CD? Want to contribute the Avarice version of Didacts And Narpets for the T2J CD?

Anagrams.... you can call someone spineless and it can take on a whole new meaning in your head.... think about it with the "less".... and here we have a soft drink called Vimto.... anagramised it becomes something that always seems to contain carrots ;-)

PJH I always thought f-spaced meant Floyd Rose spaced.... I'm sure DiMarzio.com can answer the question, but I can't be arsed looking!!!! LOL

Well, it's Friday neet... hope y'all have exciting plans for the weekend... isn't it Red Nose Day??? I might be missing well known newsreaders getting their kits off!!! Gotta run!!!! Laters, Dave

Hey, I´ve noticed that a show has been confirmed in Rio for April, 4th, and I hear the Joe will also be playing in São Paulo on the day before (04/03); has it been confirmed? And if so, how can I run for backstage passes for that day?

PhryDom: Ok, how about the title 'Guitars and Us'. Or how about this: The title is 'Break the Ice' and on the cover there is a picture of a guitar incased in ice? Just a thought.

I only play clarinet, and after songs by guitar I don't think clarinet would fit in :)

Nick I've signed up to your yahoo thingy, and will download the file tomorrow or when I have some time. Are you planning on putting any photos, polls etc on there?

Cube Aah, Buckethead, so that's where your name comes from. Cool name. (better than H202 anyway (having said that, how about I revert to it for a few posts?)))

PHJ: F spaced means fender spaced. Fender has wider spacing than gibson, so that's where it came from. So, since the JS1000 is a strat variant, and has a floyd style trem, it has f spaced humbuckers. The neck is also mapple.

I was wondering if there are any UK tour dates this year (2003)? It was a fantastic gig in birmingham last year.

Keep up the cool work. :)

trutina

That's a completely different question. Asking what I listen to then rephrasing to what bands "fit the bill". Second question: hard to find. Mostly little-known stuff. Very general area.

greg m

interesting way of putting it...but essentially then it's a bunch of individuals, not a band as such.

Avarice, oops, sorry... Artifice... yeah you keep trying dude(tte).... you going to contribute some muso prima donna jazz classical unaccompanied piece for the charity CD? Or are you going to become another Pink Floyd Dire Straits Dream Theater(SP) (oops, sorry, sleep aid might as well not bother) in here...? ;-)

Look in the dictionary. The word artifice literally means "a trick" or "ruse" and is where the word "artificial" comes from. Basically Artifice was Artanis' impression of Avarice. And I was disappointed that so many fell for the same old story. I've come clean because my point is proven: people never learn from their mistakes. Deep apologies to all of you who trusted me, but hopefully now you can see why I did it. The abuse at the start (which I couldn't keep up on account of conscience - hence the wisecracks) was not meant to be personal. This was baiting the traps. Please don't hold this against me, it was intended for good. (read it again if you don't understand that last bit)

I admit though, it was rather cruel of me. Congratulations to those that held back and didn't bite.

Nick: yeah I remember ending up as Krusty the clown!

Barrie: Bush could be double-bluffing...creating a fake urgency in order to speed up the process. I saw a car sticker yesterday (not bumper sticker because it was on a window) that said: "make chocolate not war"

Buttergoy: keep trying!!!

Greg: I thought it was H302?

BEN

PS Artifice is now officially dead, and his opinions do not necessarily represent mine, Joe's, or satriani.com (thanks Plum)
