The problem with humanity is that although 99.99 percent of people would be willing to cut other people plenty of slack in order just to have peace, it only takes a few bad eggs like Saddam to spoil the whole basket. Once they get their foot on the first rung of the ladder of power, there's no stopping them. I mean, look at how Saddam got into the Ba'athist party and then took control by walking on stage and getting the security guards to shoot 1/4 of the people in the party, AND THEN SENDING THE VIDEO TO EVERYONE ELSE! It's a sad fact, but it's how it happens.

One thing which was wierdly funny, though: all these peacenicks say "We shouldn't attack Iraq - the weapons inspectors have hardly found any illegal weapons" and then as soon as we start bombing, guess what, he starts firing ILLEGAL MISSILES! Of course, it wouldn't have been funny at all if they weren't all or nearly all shot down by Patriot missiles.

Avarice - Heh, you have something to say about ANYTHING don't you precious? Yes you do! Killer joke about the bear though. Hahaha a bear walks into a bar. You had me there.

Ovation1 - Where video? I wanna see.

To all involved with the T2J cd - I think that even if I get my tracks done in time, the costs may hurt me too much to get this album going. I am very recently out of work because the place I work at had a management change and the job I do is affected in a way that now isn't enough to keep me employed. I have to save the cash I have for some other things that are more important than the album. I honestly can't see the album doing much with 200 produced copies let alone my paying my way through it. My song is really lacking the quality that anyone else on the album is which is also greatly discouraging me frm continuing. I've just completely lost interest and motivation in writing for the album. I will finish the song another time. In the case of music, there are several other things i'd really like to learn NOW and this album is just an obstacle for me.

Marie Osmond with ping pong balls and an empty coke bottle. That just killed me. I hear she has a new show coming out. It's called "A cross-eyed nun with a bullwhip and a bottle of gin. It'll be on the WB. Also, this just in: A cat will blink when struck with a hammer.

JS Clone 1: Dude, that sucks, I really wish you would reconsider. Anything I can do to help?

Hey Joe! I just wanted to tell you I really love the new album SBM, and i listen to it every day. What's awesome is that i hadn't even gotten out of wanting to listen to EOC every day, so you keep my listening time pretty well booked up! In some ways this record (SBM) reminds me of the "Joe Satriani" album, but i can't put my finger on quite why. EXCELLENT songwriting, as usual. Thanks for being you, staying healthy, being approachable & never getting too big to stay in touch with us all!!!

Does anyone know what kind of amps or effects that Satriani or Mike McCready use to get their guitar tones?

I'm having a lot of trouble finding those sounds on my own rig or on anything I play at guitar stores.

Damn what I typed before just disappeared. Here we go again:

R6R: I didn't mean when someone says something and someone gets offended (unless it was a reckless comment) I meant when someone deliberately goes out to offend someone and justify it as their "freedom of speech". It is rife, and it is wrong.

Don't you think our country has done alright considering our beginnings? Thanks GB for turning your dregs of society into a small country that beats you at all your national sports. Heh heh heh.

In the Vietnam war, Australia lost despite winning ALL their battles. Just goes to prove what an impossible cause it was.
Clarky: I think the word you were looking for was "desensitisation" (re finger salutes & such behaviour)

Gotta go, keep the music going guys. Need to get a new mallet thingy for the bass pedal. Currently listening to "TROG DOR!!!" What a tune. - BEN

Mr. Nick! yeah I copied the Planet Us thing through a program I use to capture all sounds coming through my soundcard, the sound quality is ok for radio stream, better than I thought it was going to turn out... this program is great for recording your own music as well, I use it to record some final mixes for my own tunes... it's all in the setup of the program of what you can do with it...

Anyone who wants the Planet Us thing let me know... you to joe...

it's called Total Recorder http://www.highcriteria.com

death cube K: Weird sounds are cool. I need to do another goofy weird backwards song. It's been a few months since I've done anything that is truly nonsense. A little nonsense is good for the soul. Happy 700 on your next post.

JSCLone1: Sorry to hear you won't be on the album, but some things are more important, like earning money for food and shelter. You should seriously consider teaching at a music store, you're one of the greats and you've got tons to offer a wide range of students. At the place I'm teaching, I get $10 a student, which if I had about 60 students a week I would get close to $32,000 a year (which comes out to only 5 hours a day M-Sat) which leaves plenty of time to do other musical projects like sessions and composition. What's your next project that you hinted at?

Joe: I wouldn't even bother posting, but my brother is in the Army 101st Airborne Division and in Iraq now. He loves your music and goes to all of your concerts (latest one-Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque, NM-where he stood out front from noon on in the freezing cold to make sure he was in the front row). He idolizes you and his initials are JS, birthday is July 15th, been playing guitar since he was 8. Anyway, if you'd email him just a "hi", he'd be floored. Spastik_bob69@hotmail.com? He would never ask, so knowing that's what he wants most in the world, I'm asking for him. Thanks a million... -His sister
