Artanis...........apologies indeed, looked like Atlantis when I looked at it quick. Being in Australia as well, you like me are probably hanging out for a tour??? I will go to Sydney if Joe makes his way here this time, because I don't know if he will get to Perth. Hoping, but not to sure. Sorry again about your name.

MegaBoyd:....!!....Guess what I got in the mail today!! You ROCK dude, and listening to it now....This is a tough choice.. 1,2,3....hmmmm, I think I like 3 better, lol, and get better soon!!!!

Do the Stu: Happy 800 you old fart!! lol.... ;-)

trutina: lol, that 7 stringer is BADASS!!......Although my PGM10th is my true love, lol, I would never sleep with another guitar..Play is o.k., but sleep....No way, lol....

Jamcar: no worries!!! I thought it was funny. If it was my real name it might be a different story! Sydney is a long way to go, I'm dead broke so even Melbourne would be tricky for a South Islander like me. I sorta hope he doesn't come for ages, until I can afford to go!

Ovation: nah, I still prefer Barrie's "Weapons of Mass Distortion"!!!

"Thud"? Probably more like "BWOARGH" I reckon. Yeah. I want a bwoargh.

Trutina - It's about a week to the deadline now and my backing track isn't even finished yet. I'm waiting to recieve it from the guy who's producing it for me so I can add the bass and the lead guitar parts. Then I need to copyright it, send my bios to Dave and somehow get the track to Chris by the 31st. Any chance you could wait an extra couple of days for my track? I know I'm no-one special, but I think this track might actually be worth waiting for...

Yoda - this CD is going to be a boxed set... lol lol

with respect to your shit - you crack on with laying that cable mate... lmao...

crispin - last week I got the Yamaha AW16G...

and it is how we say.. "the dogs bollox" [translated for the Americans: very totally completely fucking awesome]
and for Spain / Mexico etc = las gonadas de los perros
not sure if 'dog' has one or two 'r'... lol I can't spell in English so I've no chance in Spanish... lmao..

for computer recording: I've no idea... that is a solution I prefer to avoid

Griff - well said... lol
Greg - Brian May did a beautiful version of our anthem...
ovation - some of the best happy accidents occur when I'm just messing or letting my musical sense of humour run wild [playing stupid or mixing silly ideas]... a good example is the real heavy part at the end of Artaud.. where I created the 'trance - metal' fussion... a pal was with me watching me write the track... I'd completed the soft spooky opening section depicting Artauds relapse when he re-enacts death by bubonic plague - so he is immersing his mind into the illness.. which is why it is strange, floating and surreal... I needed a real heavy section to depict the death throws and the agony... it needed pace, craziness and intensity... my pal said "definately metal, full on, double kicks - something so all the dogs can fuck it up in the pit" ... lol and for a joke I said.. "oh you mean trance...lol"
In my inner ear, I suddenly heard a trance riff... with drop tuned guitars and double kicks adding to the power.. in my head it kinda worked...
I did the 'evil grin' thing to my pal "dude... check this out"... I went into the cubase key editor and started putting in the notes for the synths, bass guitar and drums with the mouse... so he couldn't hear anything... I quickly programmed an 8 bar loop... I knew the patch numbers for the synth sounds that I wanted already which helped - lol... then I cranked up the volume and played along with it...
Whilst he was listening he was laughing his ass off... shouting "you cheaky bastard... this sounds fucking great.. this'll be awesome in the pit"...
so it was a joke that went good.... lol

About the guitars - I can't imagine walking into a store looking for a guitar and guessing what I'd want... not when spending that amount of money...

do the stu - the Iraqi public statements keep contradicting themselves.... "we are a rich country and don't need aid".... a few moments later .."there is aid waiting at our borders. The evil US and British are stopping it from getting into the country...."

either they do need help or they don't... eihter way it's our fault...

Artanis - set Marshall to stun... lol

Clarky: So that's how Artuad came about....lol, I agree, it is definately music for the pit!!....I need to go back to the pictures you sent and get "into" them again with your music....I view it completely different now knowing and seeing "how" you play it, lol!!....And I am much more appreciative to know what is involved in the making of your music....Great stuff!!!!............... ................btw, I also heard the equivalent of the Iraq VP stating contradicting report's....It is almost as if they are trying to play both sides......It is nice to see the "normal" Iraqi citizen's waving at the soldiers as they roll through as they know Independence is just around the corner for them....It will be interesting what the American and British soldiers find in the Palace basement in Baghdad....Freedom is spreading it's wings in Iraq and there is alot of work to do once this is all over....Godspeed....

Nite all, /\/\ike

ranaloco I've got my copy of The Extremist here, and on the back it says Copyright 1992 relativity records inc./distribution sony music.

Alive in an Ultra World Not all the songs were made up on a whim. Whispering a Prayer, he says he wrote on his tour bus at 4 o clock in the morning, and I believe he wrote Incantation over a long time, and played it after he added in a part from something called a Saz he found in a shop.

It seems that there will be a new radiohead album coming out in June. It will be called "hail to the thief", and will be more conventional than their last two. One thing I'm wondering about, they have a song on it called "scatterbrain" and that's a Jeff Beck song. Are they writing a new song with the same title or are they covering it?

Thee's no contest between those two.
