MY family. how can I get you some of my stuff to get some constructive criticism from you. I could use the master's opinion. HOpe to see you soon or even jam with you some time. Tony Vaughn.

Wow. I haven't heard either of those Vai tunes at all.

OCPSetc.: I understand it's your 21st today...that's some kind of milestone isn't it?

Clarky: more like "turbo charge your DS-1s..." and then "set Marshall coordinate..."

hey Joe,How are you doing? Will you do a clinic in Michigan anytme soon? Even with all the rap c.rap as I call it,there is still alot of guitar players that would be very excited wth having a Joe Satriani clinic!!!! I know with the war going on right now people need entertainers to help everyone get through a tough situation. Also any chance of a concert at the Fox theatre in Detroit its a great place Jeff Beck has played there twice now and if hecan get a beautiful sound than I'm sure you would melt the place.I f you could tell me what echo unit you use that would be very mch appreciated,I know you answered my question about using the Fulltone Ultimate Octive that produces some awesome sounds.Hope you have a new album out shortly.God Bless and keep boarding on your days off

JS Clone 1 - I used to have two, well sort of. One was a cover of Metallica's "To live is to die" that I did about a year ago (without drums), that has been lost forever on a destroyed hard drive. The other things I have recorded are not really mine to play, they are the tweaks, riffs, and solos I had for a band I was in before I removed myself after the lead singer told my best friend she had no life, was useless....etc. Now their songs will forever consist of the chords G, A, and B. Forever and ever.

Today I came up with another new thing, this time coming out to be a little over four minutes long (the last one was two and a half). It's got a pretty weird name, "Voltz in C minor". Combo of waltz and volts. It's all electronic (for now), done in 6/8 time, and some parts has a scary waltzy thing going on. Enough of me already, I am just so happy my brain has been unblocked at the moment.

Joe, hope you and the guys are having a great time jamming for the folks in South America.

I wish safe travel for you and everyone traveling with you.

P.S. Along with the pics of you on stage, it would also be cool to see some pics of the sights that interest you as you tour the planet.-2 TON

Ooh, Joe is going to Singapore and India...he's getting kinda close...

Tried to watch the DVDs last night but since I had them last there's been a software upgrade and NO DVD PLAYER has been installed. What is the use of DVD-ROM drives if you can't watch DVDs with them? Going to request some sanity...

Was pumped up about seeing them again...it's been at least a year since I watched my Satch DeeVs.

engines of dreams - That's a nice one. It looks similar to the Corvette in a lot of ways. Although I don't really like the front on your car...just my opinion.

Artanis I - You should be able to find free DVD software on the internet somewhere. If you don't know where to look, I think the newest version of the Real player has DVD capability. I think it's called the Real One Player, or something like that.

JSClone1: Listened to your scrapped tune for the T2Jcd. I'm more bummed than ever that it won't be on now. you ought to play more in that style. It has all the technique, but infuses great melody and phrasing. Man...if I lived in Canada I'd definitely be helping you get a good home recording.

I went with a friend to see Queens of the Stone age the other night at the Hard Rock, and their opening act was a band called TurboNegro. They were kind of like if Spinal Tap was Norwegian. Their singer looked like Alice Cooper 50lbs over weight. he did songs about NAMBLA(north american man boy love association) while humping the bass player. Other songs included the Erection song, and the song about the Bad Mongel that has up syndrome instead of down syndrome. I've never laughed so hard...I walked out on the queens...they suck

Austin: I asked the tech help desk guy if they would install some DVD viewing capabilities, and the answer was no. Basically because it's for recreational purposes, and Mr X (name changed to protect identity) is a control freak who likes to tie down the users. They went troppo when they discovered we'd found a loophole to change the desktop background in our windows accounts.

OCPS470 - Happy Birthday! You were born on the same day as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, although he has a few years on you (he's 55). You also get to share your birthday with the anniversary of the crazy Heaven's Gate cult thing from 1998. :-(

Chess Music - There are a few reasons for that... California is a bigger state than Michigan, so it makes sense for him to play more shows here. Also, Joe lives in California, which makes him more popular in this area. And finally, the population of Michigan and the population of Los Angeles county are almost the same...and LA is only a small part of the state.
Isaac 19 - Yeah, that's easy... Oh wait, you don't have 6 fingers on each hand? ;-) It looks like a tough one. I don't play guitar (I play bass), but I guess you'd barre the 8th fret with your first finger, play the 10th fret with your middle finger, and flatten your pinky finger to play the notes on the 12th fret. Man...it hurts just thinking about it...LOL. Maybe someone knows a better way to play that.
