Mick 87, those arent my fav's lol, I love BY- TOR & the SnoW Dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! others include, scars, emotion detector, ghost of a chance, freeze, & so much more, lol!!!!!!

about GHS 3 SMWYCD is my least on the list, the light beyond & 3 are a tie I think, both with great stuff!!!

Ovation, wait till you get your next goods Your jaw will drop, & you might not wanna play your guitar anymore, it is so intimidating, make sure you have time to listen at loud volumes!!!!! maybe get some headphones & crank them up!! Btw that reminds me the orignal Self titled rush cd had a litte qoute I always liked, it was a little company symbol then it said, for best results play at maximum volume!! They Rule!!, MegaBoyD

p.s. Hey austin you setting up your Urge II, or are ya giving the ole washBurn nice little detailing?

Ovation: I like to ride ATV's but me and dirt bikes have an understanding. I don't hurt them, they don't hurt me. I used to have a nice KX250 with a gob of stuff done to it (that's what happens when you work at a bike shop, you end up with expensive stuff you can't utilize) and spent more time on my ass than I did on the bike.

Hey Matt, I dig Incubus alot, there is only one thing that stands out to me, The singer is great but he sings most songs in the same manner, I would like to hear him make each song its own know what I mean, or maybe I don't know what I mean lol, maybe I just need to listen to more of them lol, I don't listen as much as I would like to , too much damn good music out there, with plenty more to come from many! mEgAbOyD

Fret Goblin - Are you serious? I haven't seen that for a while. When is it?

Lyz - Let us know when then. I'm going to have another video recorded up on my site by tomorrow. It's going to be called "Look what Paul Gilbert did to me". The name is very fitting.

Jstrat57 - Who's upside down?

Brymstone - Feel good's a pretty good track. Star Wars, Vader theme. Cool rock idea. Sounded weird in the beggining parts because the theme isn't followed exactly. It's cool.

Clarky: no one drinks Fosters in Australia. We hardly even hear about it except when it was all over the TV during the Sydney Olympics. Those bunker busters keep sneaking into my bedroom late at night...I swear...it wasn't me!!!

Wow, who was that in the other room? Hanging upside down on the coat stand...

Jamcar: I've only been to New Norfolk once!!! But you're right, it is nice & quiet! Maybe Perth's air is not as clean as theirs is. That's probably what they meant. Most of Tas (apart from where I am, smog city Launceston) has the freshest cleanest air on land...so anywhere would be classed a "dust bowl" in comparison!

What is happening to me?!? I keep listening to different styles of music...

Ovation: I think it was "Chaka Khan" but your guess is as good as mine until we find out the real answer!

Definately wasn't Imran Khan or Genghis Khan.

Which reminds me: at Uni there is a small roadway that runs parallel to the Tamar River, called "Tamar Lane"

That is just too funny.

Do the Stu and Chris Peters I use plain old olive oil on my fretboards...never had anything bad happen and it keeps the rosewood nice and dark, I also make a point of scraping off all the stuck on finger gook each time I change strings.

Kelly where can I find New Model Army's music?

JsClone On the album Giant Robot by Buckethead, there is a track ... number 17 I think called Star Wars where he played the theme from the movie...worked out really well.

brymstone -- I checked out your tunes...only advice I'd have is make it more into a song in a sense. Right now to me it sounds like one giant pentatonic jam out with not much of a direction...it needs a melody line and an arrangement! It's cool and all, but work it out into a song...know what I mean? Keep at it...you have a really cool start...to say one thing, the lead tone was kinda cool with a nice liquidy effect!

Matt, sometimes is it THAT important to have a solid melody line? I have a tune I did a while back that was more like a free-form jam with a theme during the 'chorus' that repeated in different variations...I listened to it on CD and after a while...I've realized that there is no other way I want to hear it...so I took the time to learn it...note for note...even though it was an improvisation. Kinda funny trying to learn something that I improvised so easily...it was hard to learn it when I actually had to THINK about it. :) Just my 2 cents!

Sharif, it really depends on what approach you want it for. For a fun jam, by all means no melody is needed. But I have noticed that even in most jams, a melody like does happen to stand out at one point or another...there usually is some sort of format going on...other wise it's just too hard to listen back on over and over...jams are fun, but are very hard to sell...

hey joe - its gold dragon - just flew in to stretch my wings a bit - listen to your music every day - currently residing in port st lucie FL - want to know when you will be coming south - need to come to see you live !!!!! - i'm a 45yr old single mom with 2 grown kids - son 20 and daughter 18 - took my daughter to your concert when she was 16 - she really enjoyed the concert - was shocked that it wasn't old people music - haha-

had a friend that just past away recently - we shared our interest in your music - we planned to go to your concert together - however he is no longer with us but he can come with me in spirit - that is why i need to know when you are coming to florida - orlando - west palm beach - or fort lauderdale - will travel to see you play anyday

love your sound - your touch - and how you can make your guitar sing so beautifully - also enjoy listening to jeff beck and gary hoey - but you are the favorite of all

you have a great gift - talent - and you display your gift to perfection every time you play - sweet on the ears

will check your page periodically for updates on your ventures south - to the warmer side of life -

later

It's quiet tonight... I guess I'm the only person here without a life. ;-) One of tonight's reruns of The Simpsons was The Otto Show. Has anyone seen this episode? It's from Season 3, and Spinal Tap are guest stars... They have some really funny lines in the episode.

A message from an AMAZING player, Chris Brooks:

"Hello anyone reading,

Jemfest are putting out a DVD of their last event, and they're having a vote for the music to be used as background for the various menus on the DVD.

I've submitted my song "Kryptica" from "The Master Plan". The song is up for three categories: Main Menu, Artist Menu and Video Menu.

If you're a member of the jemsite forum (or want to be - it's another good forum for guitarists and the more the better!) and wish to help me out with a vote (if you think my song deserves it that is), here are the links:

Main Menu http://www.jemsite.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=20671

Artist Menu http://www.jemsite.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=20751

Videos Menu http://www.jemsite.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=20750

Thanks!"

Chris

Check out this guy's site, www.chrisbrooks.net , to see if you deem him worthy of this honor.I think he is worthy, as he rocks!

Remember me?

long time no see... or should I say 'talk'. So much has happened, where should I start? well, at first, it was really exciting to hear that Joe was coming to HK for a clinic. Saved up money for that. Then some dumb pnuemonia breaks out and Joe's clinic is cancelled. Gee. The last month was pretty much miserable cuz I had 6 subject courseworks to hand in. Then I gotta prepare my art exhibition that will come up in 2 weeks. I don't even have time to play my guitar. I won't forgive myself for that! Lucky school will be closed for a week due to the pnuemonia thing, I can actually get some sleep, play some guitar before heading back for more work. Then waddaya know, my buddy died in a car accident. crumby lil civic... apparently, the crumple zone includes the driver's body. his lawyer said (this part is weird) I inherit his car... well, if it weren't turned into scrap, I would have loved the car. Boy am I gonna miss the good old days when the four of us would go out in that beat up tiny civic. three of us left.

Hi Joe! sorry to hear u cancelling the clinic in HK. maybe next time...
