"Heart of the sun" is by Joe Satriani! :) As far as I know it came with the Guitarist magazine cover CD of April 1998. As written in Satriani Science fan website:

"This is a great little example of Joe improvising over a backing track he hadn't heard prior to recording. He only took one take, and it's a fantastic little track! It's a combination of 'A Piece Of Liquid', 'Morrocan Sunset' and 'Banana Mango 2'. Very Tropical."

I wonder if anyone had this 3 minute track in mp3...

Ha April fools joke! ok! I read the post on the 2nd, so it never came to me that it was a prank. oh well...

that reminds me, yesterday, a kid copied the format of a newspaper website and posted something about supermarkets shutting down due to the pnuemonia. well, people flew to the supermarkets to pick up as much goods as they can... in the end, the kid ended up behind bars!!

heres a joke for Avarice...

I was in this bar and a guy says to me "Do I want a game of Darts?", I said "OK then". He said "Nearest to bull starts". He said "Baa", I said "Moo", he said "You're closest".

lol

and another joke - Now you know those trick candles that you blow out and a couple of seconds later they come alight again, well the other day there was a fire at the factory that makes them. It took 3 weeks before the fire came under control

lol

Dear Joe, I realise you probably won't get this letter but im going to write it anyway. Around a year ago (at the age of 13) i began playing the guitar and have recently, because of my extra cool and talented guitar teacher, who recently won the ernie ball jam 2002 prize. Have come under the influence of both yourself and steve vai. I recently found out that you have taught both steve and kirk and i wonder (as a young and enthusiastic guitarist) if it was important for me to learn to read music???

p.s can you please post me back

Okay, hopefully this will be my last post about the April Fool's thing...hehe.

mick87, engines of dreams, strength of heart, and anyone else who may have been fooled - I'm sorry...I hope you don't hate me now. ;-)

Artanis I - Yeah, a lot of April Fool's things can be really cold or mean... Hopefully this was okay. It didn't really harm anyone, and I said it was a joke fairly quickly.
greg m - Chromedome Bloke? I like it!
migupais - You might be able to find "Heart Of The Sun" on Kazaa. That isn't the true name of the song though, so try searching for "untitled' things as well. If you can't find it, email me...I have it.

The only way you can find Additional Creations now is on Ebay.

Hi Folks,

I'm going to attend Mr. Satriani's concert in Rio de Janerio next friday, and I must tell you that I've been waiting for some years for this gig... Last time Joe's been to Rio I was broke and couldn't afford to pay the ticket with my lunch money (either I fed or had fun!).

I just wanna say that we all are very excited about this show, since Joe's last Cd is great, and this website is incredible. I just missed some partitures here, so anyone os us (mortals) can dream of being close to Satriani's skill some day.

This is shaping up to be a seriously good musical year, there are albums out by :

Joe Satriani Steve Vai Dream Theater OSI Radiohead John Petrucci

Also, there was a really good programme on on Radio 2 last night about Pat Metheny. Did anyone else listen? I'm afraid I don't have a recording, as I couldn't find any blank tapes.

Ovation Sadly, that guy is only playing around London. Master Yoda and co should have fun, though - he's doing a clinic at the ACM.

r6r i said something about always wanting to know which "wrong" notes were the "right" ones.... maybe your FG video helped you in ways you didn't realise? I'm keen to hook up so we can share ideas, just let me find out WTF i'm living first! We can also get drunk and laugh all night about how much avarice really needs to get a life and how his only friends are probably his cleaner, his landlord, and his binman.

strength of heart: thank you so much. your reasons for your current vocation have crossed my mind too.... not exactly the same end result, but something coming from a similar feeling, like i feel i *have* to do something.

man this neighbour situation is getting to me (go on avarice - i mentioned a weakness - why not rip it out of me you coward).... i'm subconsciously looking for hidden mikes and cameras!!! man i need a day off!

hope everyone is ok, and i hope joe gets his (presumably) broken computer fixed soon so he can say hi. later... dave

*Mick's Thought* - what would a bald person with thick sideburns look like? Ehem... Joe, do you mind carrying out a little experiment for us? :P

Ok People it's time.... that's right the big 1 double 0 posts for me! Now time for me to be flattered by all your "Happy 100's"...
