Please when will you be able to come and play your magic guitar in Italy (Rome) do you remember last year? We were there and you were fantastic!! The greatest dream that my wife and me have, is that my son's can meet you even for only a second. Sorry for my english.
The song that we love so much is "Always with me always with you"

Joe - I read an interview you did on guitar.com and you were talking about your home recording studio.... What is this Palmer Speaker Simulator you use? It sounds pretty cool... I was thinking of picking up a mic sometime, but from what you were saying on the interview the Palmer takes the place of a mic? Couldn't find any more info on the thing... Any info, such as websites, would be awesome if you'd post it...
Matt - You will now be 1/5 of a century!! :o... Oh very cool bass mix you did on Flight of Mind...
Mick
Oh.... I think GNR did a cover of Somewhere Over The Rainbow.... Could be the one your talking about.....

I can recommend a good guitar teacher in LA: Dave Weiner. Honest, no joke. E-mail him at daveweiner1@aol.com and ask him for a lesson.
Trust me, he does teach! he sais so on his site. I mailed him once and asked about it and he mailed back saying "sure if you're in the LA area gimme a mail and I'll let you know if I'm free to teach". I live in the UK so being in the LA area isn't something that comes often to me! hehe.
HILL GROOVE kicks ass.
Got "Extreme"s 'Pornograffiti' today. also kicks ass!

ADRIANORB Don't bother sending it to me, I'll find it on the net sometime else.
MATT Sounds nice with the weather!
962 Yeah, I noticed on his site that he does teaching. Do you know if his album is out yet? That guy is one mean guitar player! One thing though, he's an awesome teacher, I'm certain, but I would you spend all the time asking him about playing with Steve? I'm sure I would!

gig story i found at www.fenderforum.com...
For several years I played in a 5 piece, (Rock - Country - Beach), band in Myrtle Beach SC. Many times during the summer we played out on the various fishing piers from 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. The piers are really nice, pay pretty well, and around 2000 people show up to listen to the show during the night. One summer right in the middle of a set, some guy caught a six foot shark. Several people dragged it up on to the pier about 30 feet away from me. After they got the big hook out of its mouth. It just sat there for a few seconds
then shot right at us. It came right under my feet, twisting and snapping at my legs, as I am trying to dive across the drums with my guitar.
I was so shocked I had to take a thirty minute break just to pull myself together. As I went back on stage, my floor effects had been crushed by the shark. My floor effects power supply was destroyed, and the volume pedal was
broken beyond repair. I had to finish the rest of the night playing straight into my amp with no effects, distortion, or volume boost. I just wonder how many other people on earth have been attacked by a shark while performing?

woldeface, welcome aboard !!
Joe, I really gotta know.....being as old as you are, and I'm not saying you are ancient by any means ;) how in the world did you develop such a progressive, heavy playing style, when you grew up in the 60's and 70's. Most of the people I know who are in their 40's and 50's are playing Jimmy Buffet and Bob Dylan. It's amazing to me to watch a guy who is (ahem) 46, tearing up the guitar like you do.

McDave..there are heavier and more progessive players than Joe. like John Petrucci for one. Steve Vai is more progessive in some ways. and guitar players in bands like Opeth are heavier and more progessive
