I am a lover of all kinds of music - I have even listened to Country and Rap (ok there I said it...) which are the two styles of music which carry the most stigma with 'our kind' of people here on T2J. But when I have a 2 year old CD of Yngwie that I never felt the need to open EVER...well then...1. I was stupide for wasting the money and 2. it means that there is no use listening to it cuz all I gotta do is listen to the OLD ones to hear the same freakin thing...

LOL @ Sharif! Aye, there is very little rap that I find appealing but there are a few songs from the old school rappers that I still listen to on occasion (RunDMC, ToneLoc, Will Smith (DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince). Yep, the same goes for country... still a few songs that I like. My favorite listening music, however tends to lean along Jazz and Classical (REAL classical guitar not the Yngwie version). :)

Hey All! Wouldn't it be cool if Joe's site had a gallery of all his guitars like how Steve Vai's does? I know that there's already one, but according to the text that comes with it, those arent even Joe's guitars. And I'm sure Joe has many more guitars than the ones shown.

KUNAL_K: Dont you dare to talk to Joe like that. He'll go, as soon as he can. Can you imagine what would happen if Joe gets the SARS!!. I'll die if so. Let's try not to expose the greatest muscisian AND one of the coolest persons in the world, to a virus that has caused so many deaths in so small amount of time.
Everyone: I don't think Joe said such thing about Yngwie. I think, because of the way of thinking that Joe has, he would never say something like that about other dude. And if so, it's my believe that everybody is different, and there are no persons who are the same. The peoples personality is unique, and I think we should respect Yngwie, even if we don't like what he does.
Bye.

Hey..
I think what Kunal_K was trying to say was that people in India have been waiting for years...to see a guitarist of Joe Satriani's calibre. We dont get to see many international artistes at all.
India does not have the SARS. The rolling stones just finished a tour. We wouldnt mind if the show is postponed....just please dont cancel it Joe...we might not see you again in our lifetime!

Hey, man, i'm not mad at all, the thing is, this kinda stuff happens, and there's nothing we can do to avoid them. Believe me, i would be sad if something like that happens to me, but, i just though it was a little selfish to expose Joe to a virus, just to see him a couple of hours, and then OK, he's on his own. I'm sorry if I offended anyone.
See ya.

Cube - If he didn't play 28 notes a second, someone else would have. If he didn't pick notes fast, someone else would have. Like I said, "groundbreaking" for one album but enough's enough.
Did anyone see his dvd with some orchestra? He played the exact same solos that he does for every song and every lick he plays on his "instructional videos". WANK WANK WANK WANK WANK WANK WANK
Greg M - That's hilarious. That's ultra hilarious. Did anyone read the one where some dude came home from the army on a helicopter and his wife hands him his babyt and he holds up high... to the point her head level was in the path of the helicopter rotar blades? "WHOOOOPSIES!"
orangeade - HAHAHAHAHA imagine being the person he was proving it to!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

I've heard of the Darwin Awards (yes, all the way up here in the cold north!!!) and they are hilarious, don't remember any of the stories right now though. Gives you hope for humanity, doesn't it? lol
By pure chance I stumbled across an ad in the paper, announcing Yngwie is supposed to play here in Stockholm on Tuesday. Despite all the things that's been said about him, it would be fun to see him live at least once. I just hope the tickets aren't incredibly expensive... :(

HELLO PPL: i know that Yngwie has a dificult personality, but as a good guitar player, he deserves a little respect. He likes JOHN PETRUCCI`STYLE. I know he isn`t an easy person but don`t waste time with irrelevant things ;).
Take care Alex

Hello Joe!
I think this is the second time I post this message, but after posting the first one I couldn't find me between all the others!
Anyway... I found in the net some guitar versions of classical music, such as Vivaldi's four seasons and others, are they really yours? Is the classical record going to be like this? because this one sounds great! Write down more, if possible! :)
I also found many other rare songs, like over the rainbow and heavy metal christmas, and some guitar classes on video
(the classes must be yours, unless you've got a double somewhere!) how about selling them? (specially the classes!)
How is the vocal record going? Good luck with it!
And another thing... don't you think songs are much better in a video? The extremist video for example is great! How about doing a DVD with videos, or put some in the cd? I think other guitarists do so, and it looks fine...
Anyway, good luck with the new records!

GurlWithGuitar, the dude you're thinking of is Ned Evett (subject to spelling error!). he plays a Fernandez fretless guitar with a Fernandez Sustainer installed too.
Floydd Rose troubles - I'd recommend simply taking it to your favourite local dealer and get them to re-string it for you and check it over. Watch what they do and get them to explain what they're doing as they go through the process.
There's a whole host of things that could be causing your trem trouble, but there's no point me listing them since it wouldn't help you much, and it's the sort of thing you really need to look at in person to figure out what's wrong.
Oh, and re-stringing Floydd Rose bridges is hard work - I try and get my local dealer to do it for me when i can, cause he's done thousands of Floydd' setups, and I've done..........oooh.......five! He's always going to a better job than me!
When did Jon Petrucci quit using his Ibanez JPM? Anybody ever seen or played one? I've only ever seen it in magazines and photos.
Darwin Awards kick ass!
Anybody else read the one about the guy in LA who tied a load of Helium-filled weather balloons to his lawn chair? He wanted to have lunch and beer, then rest for the afternoon a couple of hundred feet above his back yard.
He wound up at something stupid like 6,000 feet, in the LAX main runway approach lane! oops.

Yngwie on the next G3?? Can you imagine that... Steve, Joe, and Yngwie.... The man that replaced Yngwie as guitarist of Alcatrazz and then Joe, who apparently was sent a jack@$$ of a letter from him..... Whoa, imagine the tension.... Joe and Steve would stick it to him via guitar though ;).... Just cause they are much superior and know how to get "more sounds" out of an ax...

Master yoda sir... tough luck on the gig. Sounds like most of my gigs. except if i'm singing there's not enough vox, and people have a weird thing about putting smoke machines around us. Maybe it's to hide the smell.
I watched Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey which was most totally non-bogus. Love the Vai guitar bits.
