Joe,
Vintage 30's or 25watt Greenbacks? Which and why? Also, have you ever tried VHT amps? Particularly, the CLX Heads?
Our sounds are similar, except I use alder bodies with maple necks with Ducan Customs and an original Flyod Rose. A JCM 800 Head with 4x12 25watt greenbacks and instead of a DS-1 I use a MXR Dya comp or Hush IIc compressor /gate . Life is good looking forward to G3 2003. Hoping to take my 5 year old daughter. She loves you and Steve Vai. Peace!
P.S. Why not 6100 frets instead of 6105's?

Joe,
Some player suggestions for G3 2003. Steve Vai, Andy Timmons, Paul Gilbert, Steve Morse, Vinnie Moore, Shawn Lang, Yngwie Malmsteen (Maybe), Edward Van Halen (Hey he's not doing anything). If I think of others I'll write.
P.S. I was blown away by Adrian Legg at your NYC G3 show. (The night the Yankees won the World Series.)

alexandre: We needed to keep the production costs low, so that we could afford to do this project. Also, we didn't know how many we would be able to sell (still don't I guess) so that's why we did that. And yeah, send your pic and bio info to dave@talk2joe.com along with the song title and length so he can get your info on there.
michelle: That's right, Die Dan Die!

Lord of Karma6: I would have to assume it's got something to do with his fan club newsletter (paper version, old school) if I remember right, it's called Greasy Kid's Stuff. It's a pretty nifty little thing really, you get guitar pics and the like with a subscription. I never did it because they were not able to accept credit cards, you had to mail them a check and I'm just too lazy to do that.

mick87, Well, I'm not "down w/ Stu" like that, but wouldn't it be cool? I take lessons w/ him though, so I'm in a prime position for communication. Every now and then we talk online, but that's about as "down" as we get outside of lessons : )
Also, just got back from the Patitucci jazz gig at UC Davis... that was some hardcore jazz... good stuff, but quite a change for me! Thanks Boyd, Anuj, you guys are awesome!

Joe!!!
It's really time to visit Gothenburg, Sweden!
You have tons of fans here, and you haven't ben here for AGES!!! I heard You played Copenhagen not so long ago...I's only 45 minutes by ferry or 20 minutes by air to Gotheburg. Please! I've listende to Your Strange Beautiful Music now since '86, and You've only been here twice as far as I know, I think last time was with Deep Purple in 1994.
You really are much awaited here!
Best Regards
M

strange dream last night. joe came to play in my home town/city. to about 50 people in the audience. started up with flying, curtains didn't open, then during the song, some strange things happened. like the drummer disapeared and was replaced by someone who couldn't drum, so that one dissapeared, the song ended after 2 mins. joe fired one of his stage technician people for getting angry. some weird people then came on and did some show that went completely wrong, then everyone left and it was just me, joe and a couple of others having a chat.....
