Hey man when ure trying to play those chords, well they are known as "octaves" use you first and pinky fingers to play the two notes, then use the 2 fingers between them to mute the middle string, and just strum all 3 strings. Just takes a bit of practise, you'll get use to it!

The reason the page got screwed up is that the fixed-width font used inside the [ quote ] tags does not automatiocally wrap to the next line. So, if you ever quote someone who wrote more than one line of text, you'll have to manually throw in some [ br ] tags to keep the page from formatting to the entire line of text .
.... thanx lets see if this works..

My dad and I are huge fans of you. My dad is usally busy so when we get the chance to hang out and relax we always watch your dvd Live from San Francisco. It helps bring us together. I was wondering if you ever plan on coming to Utah to play live? And if you are going to release tab books for you San Fransico conert? Thanks alot.

AVARICE: Weren't you the guy who dueled Mr. VAI in "Crossroads"??....I did some research and found Ry Cooder, but also found out that AVARICE was the real player in that part....Info??....I also read that Ralf Macchio didnt want you to play in the role because you kept telling him you would kick his ass....

I think Petrucci switched to a company that would actually let him get some of his own Ideas into the design of a guitar that bears his name. The JPM Iby was little more than a 2 pickup RG, with a graphic. Not much difference between that one and a normal RG.(Ok, neck specs, and a nice smooth finish on the guitar front)
I much prefer the EB.Don't be one of the countless blind followers to Ibanez guys, they aren't the be all end all of guitars.I play them, and I like them, but they DEFINATELY have some flaws.
Ernie Ball makes amazing instruments, even if they arent as eye-catching as others.

The EVH Ernie Ball guitars are da bomb. My ex-roommate's bud has one of the last they ever made w/ the tabacco finish (color is sorta like the Balance disc). Sounds better (not by too much though) than the top of the line EVH peavy side by side.

i'm going to attempt to learn this song, i can play along with it for the most part (except the fast bits). i've worked out that the main bit is Bmin/Gmaj but i dont know about the fast solo, i presume thats in another key like Gmin perhaps. anyone help with this?? and has anyone got a decent backing track??

A fast lover doesn't make someone a great lover or even an effective lover ... the same COULD be compared and contrasted with guitar playing. You think Malmsteen would agree? It takes melody and varied rhythm to be great ... certainly not speed. speed = great? I think not! Speed has it's place... It is great for riding horses, ambulances, NASCAR and down hill skiing. I do like the "speed" of Devil's Slide most certainly and get charged with energy every time I hear it. It is the melody in songs like Crystal Planet, EOC, FIABD and I Believe that grab my soul and makes me think... "That boy is a GREAT guitar player".
Loo Hoo.. Happy belated birthday!
Happy Easter everyone. Hope you get the golden egg.
