the prez..there would be 2 guitars playing on not of this earth. same with the other songs that you said. there would no way you can quickly perform that stretch everytime without hurting yourself, but then Joe is an alien :P i recommend you use 2 guitars to do chords like that :) makes it easier to play :)

the prez, hey, well he's been on letterman a few times, this is a studio release that he appears on though, he's also jammed with neil zaza, no bootleg of that has surfaced yet though, i don't have a place to post these, i'm throwing it out there to anyone who would host them and give access for a limited time for people to get em, not just for one or two people, don't want to flood someones ftp either, maybe it could be limited to users and for a short time, or a sched could be setup, don't think he's jammed with ozzy, and yes i own the ep, not the time machine copy, you can find them from time to time on ebay if ya keep on it,

{Mr Nick} Thank you for your reply, I was thinking that. I have the tab book. Usually I just play another octave type chord, sicne i have the tab book it tells me what chord it is, I just play around and do it by ear sometimes. I was thinking "There is no way anyone could play that lengh going up and down the fretboard that quickly. But then again it is Satch. BTW, what does he do when he plays Not of this earth live with that type of chording. (Alas, he doesn't play much of Not of this Earth) Does he get his rythem guitarist to play the other note.

{SATCHFAN} Do you know where I could get recording of him playing on Letterman. That would be awesome, I couldn't find it on ebay. If you know where I can stream it or buy it or get it off of someone let me know. Thanks. (By the way, didn't he jam with Steve Morse? I know they were both with Deep Purple at one point, didn't they tour together, I'm sure they did, although I wasn't able to go. Next time he tours I need to go to a concert) If your ever giving anything away I'll take it, if your selling any Satch stuff I may buy it if I'm interested, I suggest you do it on Ebay. That site rocks. Before that it was hard to get some crap, now there's more crap than you even need of Satch's...lol.

the prez..i haven't seen Joe perform not of this earth live, i would presume the rythmn guitarist plays it or plays it differently. the tab books say what notes he plays (usually), not how the artist plays it (usually). so, i guess either Joe plays it differently live or gets the rythmn guitarist to play that. my guess it would be played differently to what it says in the book. - rythmn guitrist included

Invigor - I think all of Champagne? is absolutely mind-blowing.

crispin - Yeah, it was just a joke though. He wasn't going to say anything about it for real... Oh well.
cis2 - Yes I did, and I think I replied. Did you miss that message? Look through at my very last post on page 38 of my post history.
ovation1 - I don't know why, but I love everything about that picture. It's cool. I guess that showed up as one of the random pictures on the home page? Your link was a link to this smaller thumbnail-size version of the picture. To get a link to the big picture, you have to click on it. That will take you to the photos from that gig, and then you have to find the correct one and click on it again. Copy that address into the link that you post here, and it should work just like this.
satchfan - I'd love to hear some of Joe's stuff from his time with The Squares. Thanks for all of the hard work you've done to try to get these records...
Stu Clone - That sounds cool...let us know how it plays.
greg m - Hmmm...? Maybe you're talking about Stu Clone and his new bass, not me?

...Austin...

Invigor, Damn right! Champagne? is too cool. The beginning is just as good as the ending, too.
Alleycat516, did Justin record that chord progressin to your song? If so, maybe you should ask Joe to write a melody to it. I can think of nobody who'd do a more appropriate job.

Hey guys... the final track order is now up at Talk2Joe.com and contributors should soon receive an email from Bil regarding how to pay their contributor's fee online if they want/need to. The bios page is still missing a couple of bits and bobs, and *somebody* still needs to name their track!! ;-) :-P

Austin to answer your question... the contributors are paying a set fee each to make the CDs, with trutina wonderfully offering to pay the balance. The Red Cross will not, however, receive 100% of the sales because of PayPal's processing fees. Other than that, though, the Red Cross get every penny.

Dave Nice one man ;-) Another stirling effort on your part and thanks for all your efforts dude ;-) Great listing, this i cannot wait to hear. It looks a bit strange having our man with no nickname, does he not have one ? Could we persuade him to adopt one ?

Crushing Day Good idea dude! Don't total guitar do a reviews section ? Perhaps we could send them a copy, after all it's a pretty novel event (imo), people from around the world of different levels of ability all on one CD. Like Dave says, any publicity could only do good.

Serak I was jokingly referring to you. Someone else (I think it was 962) said, "Hey, here's a picture of Austin was shot a while back." and it was actually Joe screaming at the camera.

I think I may try and canvass TG to give us some coverage. I think they'd include us out of humour if nothing else. If we got in, it would be one good thing in an otherwise crappy mag. If we won the ovation guitar, who would get it, the guy with the longest track? If we won the recording hours at the ACM, would Nick, Yoda and Jelly Man hog it all?

AUSTIN: We've gotta recognize CRISPIN's determination. He didn't read it and will not do it until he sees the movie I guess. BTW thanks for the offer, I just may take u up on it. I'll let u know later. U recorded last night's episodes? That was a VERY strong statement on their part.

CRISPIN: After u see the movie go back and read my post. You'll laugh and say "well that was stupid". If not don't worry, I have not seen nor do I intend to see any of the Matrix movies, so I can't possibly ruin anything for anyone here.

MIKE: Thanks, I'll check it out!!

Over the weekend I was thinking that I should've thrown in some "bogus" and a Steve Vai solo to the Matrix ending post. Oh well.

Later.
