2 TON TESSIE - Yeah, some of that old blues music is great.

Guitarcake - Nooo!!! Don't hate They Might Be Giants. I saw them in concert last summer, and it was one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. Come on, there has to be some crappy boy band song that you hate more than Birdhouse In Your Soul. ;-)
OCPS470 - Thanks for doing that! Can you get PhryDom to put the track listing up on the T2J site in the correct order?
Darxmac - Yeah, there are a few on his video The Satch Tapes. I remember Always..., BBM, Summer Song, The Extremist (which you mentioned), and maybe I Believe.

OK everybody, things are really starting to roll along now. Chris has the mastering done, everyone's title choice is pretty clear as Satchurated Feedback has been in the upper 60% the whole time, the pay-pal account is now active and we just have to work out the artwork.

Now, with all of the excitement of the album that's come of late, mostly due to Mr. Luini putting the poll on Joe's site, it's become pretty clear that 200 copies is not going to be enough. Now since we are all paying for this ourselves, we need to keep it cheap so no one has to drop out of the project so this is what I've come up with. The original estimate I had for everyones contribution price was between $35 and $50 U.S. At $35 per person, we can get the cd "duplicated" (burnt cd's with nice packaging) at the original quantity of 200. On an order of 1000 cd's, we can get the discs "replicated" just like the real deal cd's you buy in stores. Of course the price jumps up quite a bit for that so here's what I'd like to do. Everyone, other than myself puts in $50 per person. That's 16 contributors, not including me (Dave's still waiting on 2 bio's if you're keeping count) that will give us $800. The remainder of the funds needed to have 1000 cd's done I will pay for myself (should be around $300 or $400). This way, we won't run out of cd's in one day and we still keep costs down. If everyone is cool with this, then we can roll on into production as soon as artwork is ready. I also need some info from all contributors: First, reply to this message to give me a yes you are in or no you can't do it. I'll need replies as quickly as possible so please hook me up. Also, I need everyone's mailing address. Just put it in your reply exactly as I would address it. To everyone outside the U.S. please bear in mind I have little or no experience mailing to other countries so make sure you list it just like it should appear, including your country. Also, if anyone has any questions, send me an email and I'll answer as soon as I can. As far as actually getting the money here for the project, U.S. citizens can send a check made payable to T2J Community for $50 to my address:

Bil McKim 1340 Slate Run Road New Albany, IN 47150

Or you can wait and we'll be able to collect them with the paypal thing, which is what I recommend for people outside of the U.S. as well. That way I don't flip my bank out with checks from all sorts of different places in all sorts of different currencies. This is a small town bank and they would never figure all of that out.

Well, I think that covers everything so far. Talk to you all soon. The album's gonna rock!

Bil aka trutina

Wow... I am really stunned by all the people that were touched by Justin. This is Alex, Justin's (Jstrat57's) girlfriend. The two of us and my roommate were on our way back from New Orleans, we went to see the Final Four down there. The accident happened in northern Mississippi. Thank you all for everything you sent, for everything you've said, played, written, dedicated or whatever it was that was inspired by this. both of my legs were broken and my back as well. This is the first time i've been able to see the site since the accident, I was released from the hospital on April 23, but this was the first time I had the chance to read most of what was posted. Anyway, the server he had won't be up again, I'm sorry to say... he had his computer hooked up at school in his dorm room, but as soon as I get my computer up i'll see if I can find some of the pics in my temp files. The picture that someone posted from Matt King's website (I think it was Nick K...) is not him... I have pictures of Justin, but I'll have to email them so if someone wants them I can do that... (I'm not using my own computer... still packed up). For everyone here.... know that you've been touched by someone who was so special... and there are not enough words that exist to ever possibly show how wonderful he was. He was everything to me, and he kept me positive when I was feeling low. Never had a frown on his face... NEVER. And I should know, I saw him for at least 10 hours a day. Thank you all for everything. Its amazing how one person can touch so many others. From what I was told, Justin never should have made it out of the car. The last two days I was able to see him, thanks to the nurses in the ICU... and even then, he was joking about everything, smiling, and telling me I was beautiful (reminder, this is AFTER the accident... I looked like a dead fish, I was so swollen). I love him with all that I am. I have a few requests, though. Matt King: Please contact me. There are many things I would like to talk to you about. The song you wrote is beautiful, and I'm so happy you posted his version of lenny. I love hearing him play... As far as I am concerned, Justin was the best guitar player I've ever known. He had heart, as well as talent, but when he played for me, I felt it... always. He felt it. Though he had the capability to be a great technical player, he played with feeling... and it was wonderful. He learned so much from you, and I've heard you play.... many times, on MSN... you are very, very talented. I hope you play with as much feeling as he did.

Anyone else: You are welcome to contact me, I would love to hear from you. I'll check the forum as often as I can, but I don't know how often that will be... I talk to his family every day, and I will let them know what wonderful people you all are.

ALWAYS drive safely and carefully. My roommate dislocated her elbow, and physically she is fine, but she is dealing with major guilt problems even though this is not her fault. please, keep her in your thoughts and prayers as well. Justin is always in my heart, and because of that, he never truly dies or goes away. I hope you will all do the same. I contribute my speedy recovery (really, its miraculous how far I have come in such a short amount of time) to his optimism, love, caring and the way he made me feel. Never was I so happy than to be with him. Thank you for listening. Joe- I promise you, he was your biggest fan. I remember when we went to see your show at the Vic in Chicago on December 6 and 7.... that saturday, justin and I got your autograph, and you were kind enough to let me take a picture of you and him together. I made a collage out of the concert weekend and gave it to him as a christmas present. He was never so excited.... Thank you for inspiring such a wonderfully talented man. If anyone wants to email me it is Alleydancer07@hotmail.com I love you Justin. -Alexandria

OCPS470- Thanks for everything! Can't wait to hear it all! :)

trutina- Hey those are great news! 1000 CD's!!! Oh man! This is gettin' big! Will the feedbackers get a CD? :p

To all: New photos at my IUMA. I've added a photo with all my gear and a photo of my pedal (click "biography" again if they don't appear at first). You might think it's a strange gear, but that's what I have! That strange guitar you see is kind of a portuguese guitar but smaller I think, I can't figure out the name of it (alex can you help me with this?) nor play it properly yet but I love the sound! I'll try to figure out a way of tunning it so that it can be played like a normal guitar, only with different notes... I also removed the t2j CD song and replaced it with only a preview of it. If you haven't checked out my songs or my latest additions, please have a listen if you have nothing else to do and say what you think, good or bad, anything! Thanks.

Miguel Pais

EDIT- Alexandria- Didn't see your post 'cause I was writing this one... So I'll just write here... I don't know exactly what to write, but I really have to write something. I didn't knew Justin well because I was a recent member, but I felt really happy for him when he won the guitar and everyone felt his happiness and exitement too... it was a big shock for all of us to hear those terrible news... I can't even imagine the way you must be feeling and I know that what I'm saying is nothing... I just hope that you keep getting better as fast as you are now and please come here when you have time and keep us up to date... Thank you so much for coming here.

(sometimes I feel words are so small I can't fill them with all the things I feel...)

:(

TRUTINA - check out your e-mail ;).

ALEXANDRIA - thanks a lot for your sweet words. The T2J cd is dedicated to JUSTIN. I wish you all the best, be strong and here you have lots of friends, if you need something you can tell us, ok? Take care Alex

MIGUPAIS - I think that is a traditional portuguese guitar. CARLOS PAREDES was a master of this guitars, one of my personal influences.

Darxmac - No, Joe doesn't have music videos for any songs from his recent albums. Instrumental rock isn't played on MTV, so it would be be a big waste of money for Joe to create a music video.

I know I've seen The Satch Tapes online somewhere...have you tried looking at Sony's store? I'll look around at a few other places and get back to you.

trutina - Thanks for all of the info. I think 1,000 CDs would be the way to go. I know that's a lot, but I'm sure you guys can sell them over time. If nothing else, give 50 copies to each person on the CD...they can sell them at gigs.

I don't have anything to do with the CD, but I have a question about how you guys are doing the donations to the Red Cross. Are all of the contributors covering 100% of the cost of the CDs? So whatever the CDs are sold for goes straight to the Red Cross? If the CDs sold for $5, 100% of that $5 would go to the Red Cross? If you sold them for $20, 100% of that $20 would go to the Red Cross?

I know it's a charity CD, but I don't think anyone here would object if something like $0.25-$0.50 from each CD sale went towards the overall cost of the project (to make things easier for the contributors), with the remaining money then going towards the Red Cross. And then once you "break even", 100% of the funds could go to the Red Cross. We're all a family here, and I don't think those of us not on the CD would mind if we all had to chip in for the production costs. It's just a suggestion... I don't know how everyone else feels about it.

Oh, and if I can be silly for a second... I think we should rename the CD "Joe! Please put the full version of Slick up on your website!" :-)

...Austin...

thank you, alexandre. you guys are all wonderful, and though I have been reading the site for quite some time (gotta love some of the things justin says... like his little valentine's message? yeah, i don't like flowers or chocolate, so he had no reason to b*tch...), and though I don't say much, I learn a lot. I think this is one of the few things I've posted... and the last one was HUGE (i had to edit just so it would fit on the site). anyway, thanks again. Justin had been writing a song for me, he wanted to finish it for V-Day but he told me he couldn't get it right... did he mention this to anyone? I know he had the chord progression down, but couldn't come up with the right melody, or so was the last thing he told me. If anyone has any info on this... lemme know please... ~Alex
