OK, before I pass out (ROFL)..... Mark it's been narrowed down as far as Bil Chris & I are concerned, yes, in that we can see a clear leader for each cover, but I have to be honest, the number of votes is appalling. Something like only 5 of the contributors have voted, which is VERY sad indeed, and the number of other voters is disappointingly low too, hence my repeated question to Jon for some coverage on the satriani.com front page. But at the end of the day, is it worth getting wound up about? Most of our sales (if not all) will come from internet "word of mouth" and so I expect we'll sell all copies without a problem, and so our job is done. It just irks me that the people who (IMHO) are so eager to get their music heard "by the masses" don't join in on the smallest bit of admin that they need to do! Check the site.... there are still bios missing!!! FFS!!!! OK OK OK I think I should go before those strangely named drinks start typing for me (LOL).... hope that answers your question (in a round about kinda way!!!!).... and, the nutshell version.... yes from the (sadly low number of) votes we have, there is a (very) shortlist of covers. My fave isn't there (but hey, I voted for more of th@t blue, so what do I know? LOL!!!!!), but it's looking like we won't need a Luini hand on this one.... the results are pretty plain. Bring on the production!

JS Clone- Yeah... I gess only practice makes things happen... :p Noone said life was easy...
PhryDom- THANKS! :) Well, I voted but I used my father's e-mail, cuz he's the one using outlook on this pc. So voting with my e-mail now is like voting twice, so I gess I won't do it...
Mowlie_2000- I re-arranged "When it rains". I raised the lead guitar a bit and gave more presence to the wah guitar. Go check it out if you have the time. Let me know if it's better now.

Austin,
I really wanna check out the colaboration of Scott W & the GnR guy's they did some stuff for the hulk soundtrack, To bad about Scott though, he is deep into drugs again & he just pleaded innocent on the charges, so if he gets convicted who knows what will happen, man this sucks I really wanted to see stp sometime soon, but I don't think that will happen now, Scott's in trouble, his wife left him, He had to abandon his solo album half way through, its a rough time for him....
guess well just halve to see whats gonna happen & listen to the money cover, over & over & over again...... MegaBOyD

migupais - Happy 100!
McDave - The "trademark" song you're thinking of is Cliffs Of Dover, as others have mentioned. I thought I would also point out that EJ does in fact have another popular song called Trademark. ;-) Both songs are on his Ah Via Musicom album.
crotch - Cool story... Do you still have that paper saved on a disk? It would be cool to read a term paper on Satch, but not if you have to retype all 12 pages of it.
PhryDom - Have you emailed the contributors individually to tell them to vote? Is it too harsh to say "vote on a cover or your song won't be included'?
...Austin...

Oh man, Quantum!!!!!!!!!! *Lol* What were you doing during Chinese class?? True blue ACS guy....*lol* but no, you're right. It doesn't form a coherent sentence.
Do the Stu, hope you don't mind me replying as well, but this is the meaning of the characters
First character (reading from top to bottom): Good Luck/Prosperity. Normally it's associated with auspicious stuff.
Second character: Death
Third character: Love
Fourth character: Joy/Happiness.
Hope that answers your question

To Miguel Pais Lessons on Modes
Hey man if you're looking for an easy way to learn modes or at least understand them, try GuitarWorld.com. Go to the lesson index. There you will find a wealth of lessons from plenty of today's best guitarist. I personally learned plenty from Joe's section, he broke it down so easy. I really gained a good understanding, just need to practice. Steve Vai's lessons are also very easy to understand. But I think the way Joe brings it will be very easy to understand and apply. Good Luck .
Anybody want to buy my Taylor Big Baby? See my previous post on the subject. Get a great Acoustic, and help me get a Digitech gnx3 to record on. We both win. Peace

I'm liking the new logo, although the Oriental characters don't really do anything for me. But as long as they actually mean something and aren't random, I'll be OK with them.

Kell: it's iambic, like iambicpentameter. Its is hard to see on a comp. I have always had the contention that it matters not the fingers of the players sex, color, or background. We can only be better than ourselves. Every one else here who plays knows that, mostly. I am glad you are of that mind, too.
Have you checked out cdbaby.com/cd/abovetn ? That's Steven Wilde and my newest album. More to come. cdbaby has some really great bands. Check out Travis Larson Band.
One of the happy finds from the site. I also have a old friend from Seattle, his site is Travis Shredd and the good old homeboys. at TravisShredd.com They have disbanded, but do Reunions! Be safe, and happy. Randell

Miguel...
Believe it or not, Death is a very lucrative business...
Funeral Directors, Builders & Designers of Caskets & Urns get paid extremely well for their services & take their careers very seriously... I work for a company that makes Urns and Casket parts for a couple of different companies... we build many other things out of wood too, like Trophies, Plaques, and Crystal Awards as well... In fact, the urns we make are sold for the material only but then the companies that buy them, mark the price up... My company is in the works of designing and building their own line of Urns & Casket parts and mark their prices up accordingly to industry standards so that they may capitalize on a greater profit... time will tell on that business venture!
