graham...you're most likely correct with the information that you provided. I mostly took notes on how most jazz musicians look at it as inversions if not notated other ways. Us rockers don't give a damn what ya call it as long as we know what you're referring to lol :) Amin(addb6) sounds perfectly FINE to me lol...

Hey, I was just about to tell him that!
Thanks for all the happy 500s, guys.
matt Yeah, but when you're used to calling something something, and then you're given some music where they call something something else so you don't know what they're on about, and then you discover they were actually talkong about a chord you already knew, they just gave it the wrong name, well its pretty galling.

Greg – in one sense I totally understand what you’re saying. But look at it from another point of view. These people who can listen to mindless cringeworthy shite all day and then say its great music would listen to Satch and Vai etc and think of it as mindless cringeworthy shite.
It is us lot that are the minority. Who’s right?.. well everyone is.. Music is art and entertainment. If the shite they listen to entertains them then it has served its purpose..
It’s really not important.. Like what you like and leave it at that.. Because they like different stuff to you does not mean that they are stupid or inferior even if they get off big style to the Birdie Song..
It’s just a taste thing.. nothing more..
Nick – The French are not only the traditional enemies of the English, it is in our very DNA to hate them..
Ovation – If the handshake between Blaire and Chirac lasted more than 5 seconds he was faking it.. lol
Hiram – dude.. you need to learn to read.. I don’t recall seeing a single comment from Avarice regarding the death of Joe’s wife.. if there is a plot, you seem to have lost it..
ToneCapone – more importantly.. what’s the deal with the stupid German linesman diss-allowing the England goal as off-side.. the keeper was beaten and there were three Slovak players almost on the goal line.. the final score should have been England 3 Slovakia 1..
Avarice – funny as fuck bro……. ROFLMFAO
Greg – King Crimson albums: Starless and Bible Black, Larks Tongues and Aspic, Court of the Crimson King and Red
Starless is a fantastic track..
Phryg Dom – when the ‘Avarice Scam’ was in full flow a few years ago.. Simon Manzer was one of those that got most uptight about it.. He really flipped.. Became very insulting.. Seriously blew a gasket..

Thanks everyone, but you don't have to thank me, cuz alexandrecaetano did it all! I'm just bringing the news to you guys cuz he asked me to do so! :) If some of you do listen, we will send some cheers anyway, for those who can't, we will post here saying how it went! :p And maybe we can ask for them to record it and give us a copy, so that we can encode it and upload for you guys to hear. Just an idea, though, don't know if it's possible...

clarky- i see what your saying about music and i agree with it to a large extent, however I fear you may have oversimplified it...
It's often not so much the music taste of people, so much as the fact that we were all probably once like them, and we know how much we;ve benefited from Joe's music. At one point or another nearly all of us have crossed the bridge between the mainstream and the more artisitic side of pop music.
We know how much that crossing this bridge has helped us out, whether it be in musical terms, spiritual terms, or something else. And it is our frustration at other people for not being open-minded about music without lyrics.
In other words, I think music can have more than entertainment value. I mean, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone "entertained" by the first Wagner opera they went to see.

Great points about "taste" in music guys....Like Clarky said, if they like it, so be it....I constantly get told that my music was lost in the 80's....We'll, I know "real" music when I hear it, and it is all based on (to me, anyway) the talent, emotion and melody that somebody plays on an instrument....Jelly Man makes a great point about us "crossing over that bridge"....I know I was naive when I was younger, and when I learned about the feel in music (at a very young age), I came to this side of da house, lol....Today's mainstream music is simplified,
casual and annoying....
You know, they say Rock Guitar Music is making a comeback!
I see minute (mynute, lol) examples out there in the mainstream, and all I can say is: "Bring on the Van Halen of the new Century!!"....lol,
and to you JOE....Never stop playing that guitar....We need you, and we need you more than ever at this point in musical history!!!!
Nite all

Great points Ovation, Clarky, and Jelly Man - No matter how crap sounding mainstream pop music is (to me that is)...some people enjoy it. Luckily, some of us begin to appreciate music more and then find all that "poppy" stuff repetitive. Alot of it is just based on image in my opinion. Same with all these new punk/pop bands.. they all drive me insane because they all are the same! I swear each member from each group is the same person secretly cloned 1000 times, trying to piss off people like me! Don't get me wrong though... "some" bands in that catagory are "ok" in my opinion... but I'd rather listen to Joe!
Speakin of Joe - Where are ya? How about some updates? Maybe tour info, new songs..... Slick? Appreciated....
Pete Mulas - Flying in a Blue Dream cover? Ya, I'd like to hear that... Tell us when you get it loaded on your IUMA...

clarky Yeah, but when they start singing stuff in cars and won't shut up............................Yeah, I'd say I get more enjoyment out of music than they do. Some people say, "oh I really love this song" when they hear something on the radio. I sort of think, "yeah, if you go out, buy the album, and listen 50 times, then you can say that". I suppose in this respect, I agree with Jelly Man.
Psycho Monkey's the guy I always see the posts of when my cookies are screwed up so I see the very first pages of this incarnation of t2j.
