I think it would be great to see/hear Joe returm to his "Crystal/Enignes" sound! I think that style creates the best musical moods, and I love the ambience that it has! How about "The Power Cosmic 2003"!

Does anyone here own or have any experience with the Digitech RP-20? I've been searching all over the net to buy one, and I'd like to know what others think of it and how they rate it. I've used one myself and I loved it, but I can always use other opinons. But I've been thinking of giving up my search and buying the BOSS GT-6. It looks pretty versatile, but again, I would like someone elses opinion on that too. So what do my fellow T2J-ers think: DigiTech Rp-20 or Boss GT-6?

Karma6 Ooh, tough call man, i've got the old RP2000 which i think is great and Digitech make quality gear but from what i've read (which ain't a great deal but hey) i'd go for the GT6, especially if you can't track down a RP20. Either way you'll win, which ever one you get. ;-)

migupais: Nice new tune, is that you singing? I like it. Nice mellow groove.

r6rocker: LMAO on Bush and praying man. Caught me completely off guard with that one!

Lord of Karma6: I agree with death cube. The GNX3 is a great piece of equipment. Probably the best $500 I ever spent. And not just on gear either, the best money I've spent on anything. As much as I use it (daily) and for as much as it does, you just can't go wrong. I've had mine since late last summer and I'm still finding new sounds in it. And I haven't even created any sounds of my own, just been using factory presets. Recording quality is pretty good too very easy to use. I can't say enough good things about it.

death cube K: Slap that ho you pimp!

self-professed Lord God King Simon now it seems I am to be your English teacher. Don't they teach English in Nova Scotia? I said YOU were unique, and then I said that YOUR PLAYING was unoriginal. Makes perfect sense to me, here, in England. And NO I *don't* have to remember you're 17 - if you come on here touting your wares you expect us *all* to take you (and your playing) for what they are. You never came on here saying "check out my clips guys! I'm only 17 but several people who were famous an eternity ago (questionably) say I'm good". You can drop names like you drop pennies, but like I've said before, I could go to your IUMA and post a message from His Holiness The Dali Lama saying you rip rectums, but that means two things - 1) nothing and 2) FUCK ALL.I don't misunderstand your playing (and YES you *do* sound conceited) - I just plain don't like it and I don't like the way you try and advertise your nonsense in this place and in the fashion you do.

Our dear friend Clarky has a site. You can find it linked on the Talk2Joe site.

Regarding your later post, *i* never said I was good, people on here and around the world in general seem to (generally) like the things I do. Again, my site can be found linked on the T2J site, otherwise just click on my name for the link... it's not rocket science. Also, I'm only critical when criticism seems (to me) to be necessary. A self-decided need to give criticism DOES NOT (in my eyes) mean someone is a good guitar player. I can (and have) criticise Clarky, Matt, Pete, dck, Joe, but that doesn't mean I think I'm good or as-good-as or better-than them. Your logic defies me.

dck you're (as ever) too kind! Thanks bro. Simon obviously has some kind of talent,332gldlkjdfg (ARGH! one of my dogs just came to say hi, but I HAD to leave it in there! ROFL)....maybe one day he'll harness his spam-like activities and focus them on something more productive.... ;-) after all didn't we turn someone else from a bad-mood-spreader into one of us? Shoot me if I'm wrong but I *believe* it was 962... a million apologies if it wasn't tho!!!!!!!

The scary house show was a let-down. It was (allegedly) the viewers' fave from the series. But on Saturday there's a summer solstice special....LIVE!!! Might be kinda cool ;-) Nighty night.... Dave

EDIT: Spelling, as usual! ;-)

I got my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe today and it's awesome, Fender just makes great amps, and they seem to know how to ship amps without sending them to you with busted tubes like Mesa. Man oh man this thing sounds warm and even tighter in the bass end than the HR that I borrowed from a friend...I wonder, is that the new tubes or is it just that my amps a real winner? Anyway, this thing sounds great with a DS1 plugged into it, and amazing through a 4X12 (with ds1 sounds very much like a realy warm Marshall). Anybody looking for a powerful versatile rig should really give these amps a chance before they go buy a humongous mesa 100watter.

GUNNERY SERGEANT, CANDIDATE CLIFTON REQUESTS PERMISSION TO ASK A QUESTION!

Seriously, I am alive and well here at NSI, and while the Marine Gunnery Sergeant in charge of our company is tough, he is fair and won't bother you as long as you do things right. Definitely not out to make a hard time just for the hell of it. I'm enjoying things up here more than I might have expected- it's pretty interesting. Anyway, I'm outta here. Hold down the fort here in Satch-land.

Hi!

Just wen't to Hard Rock Cafe Lisbon today!!!! (it opened last week)

It's great! :) I wen't with my girlfriend and she kept saying I wasn't looking at her, 'cause I was looking at all those guitars! :) The place is really cool! It's a high room with a big, high wall full of posters and guitars and a caddilac on the ceiling! Awesome place! No ibanez though... lots of gibsons and fenders! An Eddie Van Halen's guitar! A guitar signed by lots of players at gibson's 100th anniversary! Maddona's shorts... ...Really cool! :)

trutina- thanks! Yes, that's me... well, I know it's not very good, but I sang it so many times and it never was, so I got fed up with it and I thought "well, it's not bad..." and, sincerely, I was really waiting for some feedback from you guys, so I didn't want to wait much more... lol! :p

PhryDom- Check your e-mail. :p

alexandre- Como ves, o Hard Rock ta mto fixe! :) Bem, fiquei foi 2 horas a espera pa m sentar, mas isso tb n interessa nd... lol!

death cube K: If I had an airbag setup the way you described it would just stay inflated at all times. Probably burst from the pressure of all the mistakes.

migupais: The vocals aren't bad at all man, keep it up. You'll get to where you want to be, and you aren't far from it now. You should hear me sing. I can't even hum in tune. Every time I try my dog trys to bite me.

I just wasted a considerable amount of time working on a new song that, in my opinion has to be the absolute worst piece of recorded music ever produced. It's god awful. Usually I wait 24 hours to pass judgement on my tunes, but this took less than 24 seconds. I mean it's really really bad. No way to repair it. Can't polish a turd, however something very cool came out of the solo. I know there are very few people here that like opera at all, but some how I stumbled across a short little lick that I just couldn't get out of my mind. I just knew I had heard it before and also knew that I really liked where it was going. After pondering this for quite some time, and rummaging through a bunch of cds, I figured it out. Mozart's Duettino-Sull'aria. I'm sure you guys have heard it before and just don't know the name, but it's a beautiful piece. Really astonishing. If only I could make my guitar sound like those women's voices I would die a very happy man. Actually, for a point of reference, it's the tune in the movie Shawshank Redemption that Tim Robbins' character plays over the intercom, so if that rings any bells. Sorry to go on and on, but it just really moved me. Anyway, time to sleep now, later all.

thxs for the comments. im not that worried about the opinion of others im just trying to get some tips. matt king haha i know they are just 80's solos. there just demo's im going to recording full songs wich suprisingly consist mostly of melody's i have about 80 songs written in powertab on my computer iv composed. when i get my new mike and stand (im poor) ill be recording throughout the summer. and please don't feel obliged to go to my site. i dont want to be cramming it down your throat :)

most guitarist copy pagannini but my melody's are heavily chopin influenced. i guess macalpine did it but im more influenced by his sonota's. CHOPIN is the god of music. (no matter how much yngwie argues)

Matt id like to hear you solo over some 80's riffs. your legato is very fluent. it resembles joe a bit but i can see your stuff evolving into your own style.

I GOT RITCHIE KOTZENS INSTRUCTIONAL:!!!!!!! omg very very very very sweet. highly reccomend.

Does Vito bratta have tendanitus? anyone know? i heard he is sitting it out right now
